Mike Davis is an Artist. He is very precise and talented. You can tell he have been tattooing for a long time. He really listen to what you want and he is super nice.
Everybody is very nice and talented at Everlasting Tattoo. I totally recommend this place!

My friend got a tattoo here by Jeff while she was visiting town. I tagged along with her and hug out the whole time. It was a four hour appointment, and the entire time we were there the atmosphere was super chill. Jeff did a great job designing the tattoo, which was kind of a difficult concept. My friend left super happy with it. If I ever want to be tattooed again in the future I would definitely go here myself.

I walked into Everlasting Tattoo this past weekend to get a small tattoo with my sister. We didn’t have appointments but Jeff was able to fit us in pretty quickly at the end of the day. The staff was exceptionally nice and the place was clean. The artists are very skilled with amazing portfolios! I would come here again and I would suggest it to anyone who doesn’t have an appointment who wants to get something that isn’t too intricate. For bigger pieces that require more time, make an appointment!

Jeff Gleason did my two tattoos, and it was a pretty bad experience. Not only did he push down with the tattoo gun way harder than necessary causing scarring and the like, but he was not that nice of a guy (pretty arrogant) and his lines were awful. No consistency, and even though I asked for thin lines, he made them thick. If you’re wanting to get a tattoo, go to Sacrosanct Tattoo; Rian Rentiera is the master.

Back in the day, Everlasting artist Troy Denning created an awesome 10 hour piece for me. It held up so well that after moving back to SF 18 years later, I returned to these guys for more. Thanks Luke Francis for another great piece.

I went in to get a simple script tattoo. I called in and was scheduled an appt for the same week. Since i live out of town i was about 5 minutes late since i got into town late and they were nice enough to go ahead and see me anyway, (ive been to some shops where they make you reschedule) The person in the front was great! even let me charge my phone! lol Sometimes tattoo shops can be a little intimidating, but everyone here was great! super friendly. I was tattooed by Mike Davis who was awesome and even though the tattoo was on my ribs (OUCH!) it did not hurt one bit.
All in all a outstanding shop, definitely recommending this place to my many tattooed friends and plan on coming back soon.

Dropped in here for a consultation on a tattoo that I wanted it was the second shop I went to. I had talked to another artist in the 1^st shop before hand and he was enthusiastic about doing the piece.
The tattoo I wanted is covering up another tattoo I had from years ago.
When i went in to everlasting the artist I talked to was unfriendly and was so negative it was unreal. Said my tattoo couldn’t be done? I asked could it not be re– drawn to make it work? again he said it was impossible and it wouldn’t work? He was completely unwilling to help. I left feeling bad and wondered why the other artist had said it would work fine?
I went to another shop called 1 shot tattoo and they were friendly helpful and the artist there is excited and said he is looking forward to working on this tattoo.

Ben and Derrick were friendly and funny as hell but somehow very professional too. An amazing combination.
Will definitely be back knowing that I will get absolute top notch work done by a guy who’s absolutely on top of his game.

So far my experiences have been great! Dave is working on my first piece through everlasting and it is the most intricate and well crafted piece of art on my body thus far! I can’t wait to see the final results :)

My girlfriend and I went in yesterday to get matching tattoos for my birthday. At first there was a slight mixup with price quotes but Ben Cheese was great. We decided to get more than just our matching tattoo and the process was easy, fast and an overall great experience. We love our tattoos and even though they were simple, the line work is perfect. We will definitely go back to Ben in the future. Thanks for being part of my birthday and doing such a great job Ben!

I had a great Tattoo artist, Derick Montez. He has great energy, positive vibes and made me feel comfortable; as this is only my second tattoo. He was very interested in my selection of tattoo and the history about my late father. This is a tattoo dedication to my father. Derick was very meticulous in the placement of my tattoo and not making it uneven. I appreciated that so much. My tattoo is beautiful and now all of my siblings want a tattoo just like it.

A very small, but still important tattoo was done for me when I walked in a whim. I had read previous reviews about the great work done at Everlast and had always wanted to get ink done there. I walked, they fit me in and Luke gave me exactly what I wanted. He listed to my feedback and made the edits on the fly. The studio is filled with paintings and art done by the tattooists which shows how far their talents truly go.

I’ve had pretty much all of my work done by Luke. First at his old shop and now at everlasting. He is awesome, patient, and a great artist. He’s taken my ideas and made the into beautiful pieces of art. Many of my friends and my mom have also had tattoos done by Luke.

I came here with my sister and she knew exactly what she wanted. The tattoo artist did an amazing job. I loved her tattoo. I would say that it would be good to know that there is a $ 100 minimum before getting a tattoo. Her tattoo was pretty small and would be no more than $ 60 at most tattoo shops.

We were on vacation & drinking in the neighborhood when my wife suggested that an inside joke we’d started a few weeks ago would make a good tattoo. She’d been wanting one, so setting thought to action we popped in & it turned out Mike Davis had an opening in his schedule. A simple little line tattoo is probably a waste of his time but he cheerfully put it on my wife’s wrist. Thanks man!
(& it turned out that my wife had actually set the whole thing up like dominos, a master plan, manipulated the whole thing, Doctor Doom style.)

First of all, I would like to give super props to Derick for doing a phenomenal job on my tattoo. I absolutely adore it, and everyone else I’ve showed it to does as well :)
I came in a couple weeks ago with my boyfriend (who loves this place so much that he only gets inked by Mike now), and I decided on a whim to get another tattoo. Derick’s appointment happened to not show up, so he took me on as a walk-​in. I told him my idea, and we worked on a couple of concepts for it, and he was attentive, friendly, and patient the entire time, even though we went through a couple of drafts before I was 100% happy with it. I can personally say that I very much appreciate tattoo artists who display a genuine interest in their clients’ ideas, since I have had experienced condescension and even annoyance from a previous tattoo artist who I had gone to.
During the time that I was in the chair and getting tattooed, Derick was very nice and encouraging, making it much easier for me to ignore the occasional intense pressing pain on the area I was getting my tattoo. Towards the middle of my session, the clients that had previously booked this appointment slot showed up and were visibly upset that he had taken someone else when they were no-​shows. Although this was the case, Derick took his time to explain to them that they were unreachable when he had tried to contact them and they never reached out to say that they would be almost an hour late, so he took me up as a client. After some back and forth with rescheduling, in which he even suggested for them to come on his off day and he would work on them, they decided to come back after Derick finishes up on my tattoo.
That interaction between Derick and the late clients really solidified my decision to give my experience a five-​star review (hell, I’d give a 6-​star review if that was possible). From my experiences with many different tattoo artists in the city, I can honestly say that not many of them would be so accommodating, especially with the quality of work that Derick does, he could have easily been a jerk about it and just shrugged them off. The professionalism and wonderful customer service that I experienced from this shop, from Jerry’s friendly and helpful attitude at the front desk to the artists’ exceptional skill to even the cleanliness and good energy in the shop, will keep me coming back here for sure. Highly recommended if you’re looking to get some new ink, obviously.

We met Derick Montez about a year ago at his previous shop. He did a small cover up/​addition to an old tattoo of mine. Myself and my fiancé were really impressed by his work and have been going to him ever since. He has done 3 tattoos on my arm and a major piece on my fiances arm. He comes up with some really good ideas, has great style, and beautiful art pieces. Derick isnt one of those too-​good-​to-​give-​you-​what-​you-​want artists. He’ll give you what you ask AND put his twist too it. This guys is great! Also, easy to contact and book =)

Almost the same experience as Jim M below with the same exact artist. Emailed him some reference drawings after stopping in the shop one day, just as I was told to do. He really seemed interested in working with me. Didn’t hear back for a week, so I took my $ 4500 elsewhere. I’m extremely happy I did and I’m glad I only wasted a few kilobytes sending an email.
I’m sure these guys do good work, and I’m sure they’re all super busy. But if you really don’t have an interest in someone’s ideas, just tell them. The guy at the front desk was really nice and helpful, so thanks guy at the front desk.

My sister and I went to Everlasting Tattoo at the end of March to get matching sister tattoos — the word «deirfiur» in script on our inner wrist. We originally thought of getting them done in white ink, but the tattoo artist told us that usually white tattoos can come out uneven and not look too great — the only helpful thing they did for us. So, instead of telling us to just go for it in black, the artist suggested «light grey» — which we decided to go with.
After we let our tattoos heal (we followed all of the protocol they outlined for us perfectly), my sister’s tattoo was pretty much almost faded completely and mine was uneven, darker in places than others. Basically, both of our tattoos looked horrible. My sister went to get hers redone in black at another tattoo place in SF where the tattoo artist there told her that they are NEVER supposed to tattoo in grey, and the artist that suggested this probably knew this but wanted us to proceed and get his money’s worth from us.
I am getting mine redone on the east coast this month. I would not suggest going here at all — it’s been a nightmare trying to fix what they’ve messed up.

When my go to guy at Braindrops told me he was moving I was pretty devastated. But he gave me some recommendations and I checked them out. Ben Cheese at Everlasting Tattoo had some great art and he seemed to have a good eye for detail. So, I called and made an appointment.
Jerry at the front desk informed me that Ben wasn’t in on any of the days that I would be available. That’s majorly disappointing. But Ben to the rescue! He offered to come in on a Saturday, just for us! What a trooper. Appointment made and $ 100 deposit left, we waited for a month or so.
I got Ben’s email and told him what CP and I wanted. I was worried he hadn’t gotten it because he never emailed me back but when we got there on Saturday he was all ready to go with our stencils! And they were almost perfect. After a few small adjustments we were ready to go.
CP went first because he’s a tattoo virgin. Ben was super fast and efficient. CP was finished in about thirty minutes. Mine was a little bigger so it took about forty minutes but still, fast.
We were in and out of there in about an hour and forty five minutes. The total (including the deposit) was $ 220. Not the cheapest place I’ve ever been to but not bad at all. Especially for how great they both look! Both tattoos are totally perfect and beautiful. It’s been a little over a week now and they have both healed beautifully. We are some happy clients and I’ll definitely go to Ben again.
