Faye was remarkable. Clear at all times, incredibly knowledgeable, genuine, knows San Francisco inside/​out, crazy work ethic, and is someone who constantly evaluates when to move fast/​slow based the needs of her clients. My home purchase wasn’t a simple one — she patiently worked through every issue with me, outlined all the options, and gave me perspective and advice when I didn’t know how to navigate it myself. I feel so lucky our paths crossed.

Faye was just the right person — and personality — to usher us through the home-​buying process. She picked up two anxiety-​ridden renters and carried us all the way through to that surreal day when you become a Homeowner. Not only that, but it was Faye’s raw negotiating skill and years of experience that got us in the door when we were not the highest offer.

My husband and I have worked with Faye on two property transactions and she served as a consultant on a third property (we decided to rent that one instead of sell it). I wish I had more property so we could work with her more! She is such a pleasure to do business with. There is none of the feeling that she’s in it for herself that real estate agents can be known for. I honestly felt that she wanted what’s best for her us as her clients. I was looking to rent my condo for a period of six months, although Faye does not deal with short term rentals, she was very helpful in recommending me to an agent who deals with these types of rentals. I am quite happy with her.

In short, Faye is the best agent you can get.
I had a rather complicated transaction that was taking longer than expected. This is what was great about her:
— she was very knowledgeable about the market, neighborhoods, and general conditions for buying
— she never pushed me to buy, but always provided me with what was required to make a good decision
— she remained calm and was quick to adjust to the situation
— she is very well connected and knew good inspectors, contractors, mortgage agents etc if they were needed
— I always felt she had my back (and she did)
— she is friendly and simply pleasant to work with

Faye was an absolute pleasure to work with as I went about buying my first home. I stumbled upon her Unilocal page, read the positive reviews, and decided to meet with her in person. As a fairly inexperienced person as it relates to money, mortgages, and the real estate market, Faye was patient, responsive, and supportive during the entire process. She even put up with my tight timeline (I wanted to buy and move into a new place within 2 months), small budget, and long list of wants. Going to open houses with Faye was a great experience. She was very considerate of my indecisiveness and whenever we had a question, she immediately contacted someone that could provide us with answers. Also, buying a property under a city program presented us with multiple challenges but she tackled them headfirst, ultimately securing me with the property that I wanted. We had the pleasure of working with Faye when we purchased our home and again five years later when we sold it. Faye is an absolute gem. She goes above and beyond her job, helping us with everything from renovations to managing contractors. She even offered us her apartment to stay in! Faye was our seller’s agent for the recent sale of our home in San Francisco. Faye did an excellent job where it counted most — getting a great price for our home and successfully negotiating and advocating for our interests when dealing with the agents that submitted offers. Faye also helped us get our house ready for sale, and connected us with a great handyman (who did work faster and at lower cost than anyone we could have arranged on our own). I am so pleased to see all of the glowing reviews praising Faye Dibachi. My husband and I worked with Faye over a period of 6 months, and couldn’t have been happier. We first found Faye through an open house she was doing: we were impressed by the renovations that had been done on the apartment and when we found out that Faye was behind it all, we knew she was a smart cookie.
In our first meeting with Faye, it felt like we had known her forever– she was warm and friendly without being insincere or over-​the-​top. It took her only two meetings to understand what it is we were looking for in an apartment, and she immediately set up appointments following our specifications. She educated us on the San Francisco market and the buying process. She was always plugged in to the newest places on the market, and seemed to know every single agent in San Francisco!

Faye is fantastic! We recently used her to sell a condo in San Francisco and purchase a home in the Oakland Hills — she was amazing through the entire process. We’d been burned by a tenant in the condo — imagine worst case eviction process possible and wanted out of the landlord business. The condo needed rehab and we didn’t know where to start — we gave Faye our budget and she managed the entire process and was even able to roll in staging for the entire place — easily tripling our return on the remodel. It looked great & it literally flew off the market.
Since we’d had such a great experience with the selling process we asked Faye if she would represent us on the buying side in the Oakland Hills — she was very up front that wasn’t her market but we were able to persuade her we knew what we wanted to just needed her industry know-​how to close the deal. She stepped up for us and we purchased our forever home.
She is much more than just an agent looking for a commission she will shoot you straight and tell you how it is, even if it isn’t in her best interest — she wants to do right by her clients. She goes above and beyond and delivers on her commitments — it’s not a bunch of smoke and mirrors — she does what she says shes going to do.
I would highly recommend Faye to anyone buying or selling a place in the City!!! I wish more agents were like her!

While out house hunting one weekend in San Francisco, my wife and I came across a condo/​loft that we both thought was perfect. Faye was the seller’s real estate agent and was very warm and inviting during the rather busy open house. We went on to see several other properties, but at the end of the day, we were drawn back to the place that Faye was showing. We had been loosely working with a couple of real estate agents that didn’t seem too motivated due to the low inventory at the time, so we decided to go directly to Faye to put down an offer since she seemed to be very on her game and at the same time very fair, and being the seller’s real estate agent as well, she might be able to provide us with some insight that would help us get the place. We ended up meeting with her late the next night (after getting BofA to increase their pre-​approval amount so that we could put down an offer) at her office and she went through the details of the property with us along with some information on the sellers as well as a few comparable properties that have sold recently or were soon to go on the market. At the end of our meeting we felt very comfortable using her as our agent even though she was the seller’s agent as well as she outlined the safeguards to both sides and detailed the process for us of how the offers would be gathered and presented.
Faye was able to give us some information on the sellers and though we did not know them directly, we knew a lot of the same people and had worked in the same industry. This helped us to craft a letter to the sellers that we included with our offer, and at the end of the day, even though there were a lot of offers, and ours wasn’t the highest, it was close enough that along with the letter, we were able to sign the contract to buy the condo.
Faye was very helpful, and as this was our first purchase, she held our hands throughout the process and guided us in each step along the way. Near the end of the original escrow period, BofA (who I would never, EVER, recommend as they are like an octopus with no head just slapping you with tentacles that don’t communicate with each other from every direction), pulled out and refused to give us the loan that they had pre-​approved us for due to, what they called, a ‘software glitch’ that no one had the stones to override. This threw everything into a tailspin rather quickly as escrow was supposed to close in less than a week. Well, Faye was on the ball… She had us contact 3 of her most trusted mortgage brokers (who she had suggested at the beginning, but thanks to the headache and large amount of paperwork that BofA required just for the pre-​approval, we didn’t want to use to save from going through all that again). Within a day, we had a new loan in the works (from Mickey Cogliandro at Guarantee Mortgage), and just about 15 days from the time that BofA dropped the ball, we closed escrow on our new home. Faye was instrumental in both helping us get the new loan and easing the minds of the sellers to make sure they didn’t back out and go with the higher offer (we did increase our offer by $ 5,000 when our first loan fell through as a show of good faith, but even that was still below the highest offer).
I would HIGHLY recommend Faye if you are either searching for your new home in San Francisco, or trying to sell one. She is super knowledgeable about the market, very fair, honest, open, and seems to work around the clock. She was available to us any time we needed anything, was willing to work both early and late, and was able to quickly help us out anytime an issue came up. Seriously, if you wanna buy or sell a house/​condo/​loft in SF, you should give Faye a call.

We just went through our first transaction with Faye (closed in 40 days.) We were relocating back to San Francisco after spending two years away on business. When we landed Faye showed us 20 properties (including several that were «off the market.») She more than proved her value as she advised us on the right price and conditions of the offer. We avoided the multiple offer mêlée and cruised to a quick close with no drama. On top of her counsel, Faye was extremely responsive (never allowing calls to land in voice mail and ensuring tasks were done proactively as we were purchasing afar.) I wouldn’t work with anyone else in San Francisco.

On our move back to San Francisco, my husband and I were anxious about jumping into the expensive and fast paced real estate market in the Bay Area. Horror stories about low inventory, out bidding, and property disclosures, were all top of mind.
Working with Faye however, not only erased all of our fears, but made the home buying process enjoyable. Her energy, knowledge, and critical thinking about our needs, the home we eventually purchased, and the entire market were exactly what we were looking for. She represented us well as clients, worked hand-​in-​hand with the seller’s agent, and remained in touch as we settle into the new place.

Having been involved in the real estate field for over 25 years, but on the East Coast where transactions are handled very differently, it was extremely helpful to have an experienced, knowledgeable agent like Faye working for us.
During our recent SF condo purchase, as other reviewers have extolled upon, Faye was there to listen, evaluate, and advise us through the complex process of buying in the SF marketplace.

Faye has been my real estate agent, broker and main point of contact for 9 years. She’s been my buyer broker, selling broker and has fielded about a million questions in between. She’s amazing and truly cares.
Buyer agent: You couldn’t ask for a better person on your side. She and I put in probably 20 offers in 2004 and she was with me literally every step of the way, teaching me, counseling me, advising me and telling me straight. I was a first time buyer in the most annoying sense of the word, and she made it fun and not scary. When there was an issue, Faye came with solutions. If I had one piece of advice for myself reading this years later it would be «listen to Faye more… and trust her gut more. Listen more… not less. If you disagree with her after she tunes into your needs… really look at why.»
Years between: Hey, things come up while you own a house or rent it out in SF. Faye always was always a quick phone call away and was more than willing to share her insight and her network.
Seller agent: I just sold my place and selling a house is hard on an emotional, physical and spiritual level. When I first started thinking about selling I called Faye and she came up with a zero-​BS plan with target pricing, a plan for the sale and how she wanted to run it. I signed up for that plan. The highest compliment I can pay her is — The sale happened according to the plan that she laid out… pretty much exactly. What I did was let her call the plays she needed to call to make it happen and trusted her. She did everything else! When issues came up, she dealt with them head on. She brought the buyer and seller together and made everybody feel comfortable. She listed and sold the house in less than two months (from start to finish) and communicated the entire way. 10 stars… bravo!
