Fetchin’ Bones

Kim is not only exceptionally sweet and patient with my 10 year old arthritic Portuguese Water Dog but is totally reliable, and, importantly, flexible when it comes to scheduling. My pooch seems happy and relaxed after her noon time outing, but not exhausted and in pain as she was with other walkers who pushed her too hard to keep up with the other dogs.

Thank god for Kim — I have no idea how we would have handled our crazy puppy without her.
Kim has been walking and caring for Homer since he was just a few months old and I couldn’t ask for a better friend throughout this process! Homer is over the moon happy to see Kim every day and he comes home completely exhausted and will pass out until the evening. Kim sends photos of our little guy and is always responsive when I incessantly text her questions or requests.
I wish she could come with us when we leave SF as I know no dog walker could ever compare.

I am updating my review. I wrote two years ago about Kim and she continues to be awesome. She provides the best reliable service ever. I can’t say enough good things, I highly recommend her and Emma loves her. Thanks Kim.

It’s been over a year now since Rodney started walking with the Fetchin’ Bones pack, I wanted to reiterate how happy he and I still are.
First, I know he gets a LOT of exercise with Kim: if he goes all five days in a week, I’ve noticed he consistently eats about a third more food by Friday than he does on Monday after a weekend chilling out with me.
Second, and more importantly, he still loves it! When he hears Kim’s van door close out front, he’s at the door, tail going crazy, waiting for Kim to take him to his buddies in the pack. Definitely the highlight of his day.
Lastly, Kim is super reliable and her rates are reasonable. Everyday communication is good (reminders, scheduling, pay dates, etc), and once she alerted me to Rodney being sick even before I knew it — vet confirmed it that night so he was already on meds and in recovery mode by the next day.

Kim and Leslie are the Bomb!!! Absolutely the best!!! They take care of two of our kids. One for six years now and the other for four. Don’t be offended if your pooch doesn’t make into her group. She is very cautious about making sure the pack gets along. She takes the time to know and understand how each of them get along and makes adjustments as needed. Many of her pack have been with her for years. Not sure what else I can say, but she is just great!

Kim and Leslie have been walking and pet-​sitting our ten year-​old basset hound, Harvey for over a year. We have been nothing but completely happy with their services. When it comes to my dog I am krazy (seriously, with a «k»), and Kim and Leslie not only take excellent care of Harvey and make sure he is exercised every day, but they also are flexible, understanding, and super-​nice, even when I’m being a nut about my dog. In addition to walking Harvey five days a week, they often take him or stay at our house with him and our cats when we are out of town. We get pictures and email updates about him and prompt responses when we contact them about him. Whether we’re returning home from work or from vacation, we always find Harvey happy and tuckered out when he has been with Kim and Leslie.

I am so happy with Kim and her dog walking services. I have an English Bully who can be a handful. She loves Goo like her own and makes sure he gets the exercise and play time he needs. I would highly recommend her and her services to anyone looking for a dog walker.

I can’t believe I forgot to review Fetchin’ Bones! Kim is the *greatest*. Last year she dropped by to take care of Sam the Wonder Gato while we were on vacation, and he was so happy with her that I think he completely forgot we exist. Kim is super professional with the human side of the biz (good service contract, reasonable rates, nice thank you note), and really warm and mellow and loving with the animals. I’d hire her again in a heartbeat if we hadn’t moved to the East Bay!

I have used Kim as a walker and a dog sitter… andy when I say used, I mean it. In addition to walking my dog everyday, Kim also sat with him at least 3 times a month I think.
Kim is great. To your dog, she is more than a walker. She goes above and beyond and really cares about your dog. My dog didn’t like many people, but he absolutely adored Kim.
If you let Kim take care of your dogs, whether on walks or overnight, you don’t have to worry and you can focus on what you are otherwise doing. You can be 100% confident that your dog is safe and happy.
I would highly recommend Kim.

My only concern about giving Kim and Leslie five stars is that they will become too popular and busy to watch our dogs anytime soon. During a recent four day trip to Austin, Kim and Leslie dogsat at our apartment. During the trip, they walked our (not so well-​behaved) dogs three times a day and stayed overnight with them. It was great to get updates from them everyday and the dogs seemed to be very happy when we returned. I will definitely use them again.

Well, Unilocal removed my earlier review, which was the first review of this business (– there seem to be some bugs in their system) so I’m re-​writing one, because I feel strongly about this Kim, and her business Fetchin’ Bones.
I spent several years in SF doing dog walking (–I moved away in 2007), which technically made Fetchin’ Bones my competition. But I always preferred to think of them as a resource. After all, I couldn’t walk all the dogs in the neighborhood, and so it was important to me to find other dog walkers and pet sitters I felt good referring others to. Kim is one of those few that meet the criteria.
If you entrust your dog to Fetchin’ Bones, what you get is experienced, responsible, loving care for your dog. Many of the dogs in her group are ones who have gone out with her for many years. The owners know that she is responsible, dependable, and takes good care of the dogs, and the dogs know that she loves them to pieces. They love her right back, and it shows.
I will pay Kim/​Fetchin’ Bones the highest compliment I know: I would trust her with my own dog without a moment’s hesitation. Out of the many dozens of walkers out there, there are maybe 3 or 4 people about whom I would say that.

Fetchin’ Bones Dog Walking and Pet Sitting are great for dog sitting in your home. Leslie has sat for our Tibetian Terriers, Charlie and Brad, many times and the boys are always very happy and well cared for with no worries for us. Leslie walks the boys twice a day and toy-​time seems to be a favorite because when we get home, they both nag us to death to play and romp more… must be due to all the fun they’ve had! We use her as much as we can, but spur of the moment jaunts are getting more difficult… so keep trying, cuz it’s well worth the effort!

We are two Jack Russell Terriers and we love Kim! We completely trust that she will take good care of us. Everyday we look forward to hopping into her van and off to the various parks with our friends. We get lots of exercise, socialization, and TLC from Kim. She is very selective when it comes to introducing new members to the pack. She is thoughtful, kind, fun, and most importantly she loves hanging out with us. She also makes us feel special!

I cannot say enough great things about Kim. My dog, Parker, absolutely LOVES Kim! I’ve had Kim walk Parker for 4 years, and she’s gone out of her way to help me when I’m in a pinch. She looks out for Parker, and is so loving and responsible. I highly recommend Kim!

Kim is absolutely the best.
Kim as been part of our pack for the last 3 years plus and our lab, Hoku, adores her as much as we do. Kim is very responsible and is good at communicating and updating us with any news about our lil guy.
Kim is always the first person we think of when Hoku cannot travel with us. We know she treats Hoku and all of her «kids» as if they were her own.
She’s irreplaceable.

Kim is a fabulous dog walker and pet sitter. She often walks and takes care of my Pug, Peanut, and he loves her. I know that she’s responsible, reliable, and makes sure my boy has lots of love and care. Highly recommended!

After a bad experience with a dog walker in another city, Kim has restored my confidence in dog walkers. I now trust Kim absolutely with my dog’s care. She caters to the needs of each individual dog and does a great job of keeping me informed of any behavior or health changes she notices. What happens to my dog during the day is no mystery to me because Kim maintains communication with me through notes, emails, and text messages. My dog is happy when I get home at the end of the day (and tired), and I’m happy that I don’t give a second thought to my dog’s care during my working hours. I’ve used a variety of friends and services for my dog, but I have the most confidence in Kim because of her attentiveness, knowledge, and experience. She also runs her service in an extremely professional manner, so of course she is bonded and insured.
