Franco Landscaping & Maintenance

We were looking for a small update to our backyard and were having trouble finding a company to work with. Luckily, I found Franco, and he was terrific. His correspondence was prompt, the work was professional and fast, and the quote was extremely reasonable. Our backyard came out looking better than I would have imagined and now it’s one of my favorite places to spend time. Looking forward to working with him again!

Prior to listing our house for sale, we hired Manuel to trim a large tree and some bushes in front of our house. He expertly trimmed all the plants and we were very impressed with how much better the house looked from the outside and surprised at how much more light came into our whole house as a result of thinning out the dense foliage of the tree. He’s pleasant, skillful, and very reasonably priced. We wish that we would have hired him sooner as we enjoyed the results of his work for only a short time before our house was sold. He certainly helped create a very appealing first impression of our property.

I don’t want to write this review because I want Manuel all to myself. But alas, it is the right thing to do. Manuel is the smartest landscape professional I know. He’s quick with solutions and numbers. His estimates are right on and the work flawless. In fact, I don’t ask for estimates, I tell him what needs to be done, he gives his valuable opinion, does the work and bills me — always a reasonable amount.

Manuel did a fantastic job on my Yard. He installed artificial lawn and got rid of a lot of weeds for me. He is a very nice guy to work with. His team works unbelievably hard. He was affordable and there were no surprise hidden fees or add on fees for the job. He completed the job when he said he would and it looks beautiful.
What I like most about him was his ideas on how best to complete our yard in oases to stay in budget.

I amend my earlier review as to why I received no call back. Franco does such great work that his cell phone is out in the field with him so it is best to email him for quicker response as he is creating his masterpieces

Manuel Franco and team far exceeded my expectations. I live in Glen Park and have a steep unruly hillside I’m working on making accessible. From the start Manuel was prompt and professional in returning my emails and providing a bid. Once at my house he quickly assessed what I wanted and sketched what we’d talked about on the spot. I was looking to use a semi-​flat area of the hillside as a patio. He quickly advised me that I’d need two retaining walls and recommended a flagstone hard surface. He also made other suggestions to improve on my plan. A couple of days later I received a very reasonable bid and he was able to start within the next week. I have two dogs who love exploring the yard, which can be dangerous due to how steep the hill is. Manuel and his team took extra care to ensure the gate was closed and that the dogs were safely away from where he and his team were working.
Manuel and his team were prompt and arrived at 8 AM every day. They were professional, in a good mood, courteous, and helpful. In addition, they do high quality work fast. I was really happy with the final result. They put in two retaking walls and covered them with beautiful redwood planks. The end result looks like high end furniture in my backyard. The flagstone hardscape is beautiful as well. They did an excellent job with a difficult space very fast. My backyard feels like a park like setting with another big usable space.
I highly recommend Manuel Franco and team. Manuel is honest, a great designer, and hardworking. What’s great also is that he will take on all types of projects from small to large and he does it at a very reasonable price.

I am a Realtor, and the need often arises to get a yard under control before listing a property. Manuel has always delivered amazing results for me! One job was to clear out an entire yard that was completely covered in vines & weeds (about 3 feet deep across the entire yard). You couldn’t even open the back door when Manuel arrived on the scene! He and his crew were VERY hard working, punctual, affordable, and very careful with the yard. When he discovered a shed in the back yard, he called to find out what I wanted him to do with it (haul it away!), and he warned me that if he trimmed the crazy growth any farther, the rear fence might collapse (so he stopped trimming). On another job, he knew exactly how to carefully clean up a yard, and make it look fantastic without compromising any of the plants. (Other, less skilled garden experts had previously killed their plants, so my clients were VERY cautious).
Overall, I would highly recommend Manuel and his crew for any lawn or landscaping job. Manuel has a really strong work ethic and he will not disappoint.

Franco’s team did numerous projects for our back yard over the last few months. They have done absolutely outstanding work. Before their work our back «yard» was nothing more than a rocky hill and a mess of weeds and plants. Franco and team built multiple retaining walls, planted sod, removed weeds, and landscaped with beautiful plants and fruit trees. Even the retaining walls look beautiful. In addition they fixed and extended an old irrigation system.
Franco and team are thorough, creative, and diligent. Their work was absolutely perfect and done exactly in the timeline they estimated. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
