[ freespace ] is a temporary community center focused on manifesting permanent transformation of the city and people of San Francisco. Hosted in the heart of Mid-​Market as a part of the National Month of Civic Hacking, our mission is to foster creativity, community, and civic innovation through the gift of free space.

History

Established in 2013.

In June, 2013 a 14,000 sq ft warehouse was gifted to our community. Freespace was created there for the National Month of Civic Hacking, and now exists in a new location on Market St.
