Laurie is a sweetheart and has a beautiful vision. Her energy was a great balance of calmness and assurance on our wedding day. The pictures were so artful and captured so many different experiences of the day. We couldn’t be happier.

WOW. In one word WOW! Laurie is the best! My fiancé and I are so thankful we randomly came across her when planning our wedding! Photography is very VERY important to me and I wanted someone who was not only super talented, but was creative, artistic and so easy to work with. Her portfolio online is exactly what you will get in your images and I fell in love with her portfolio so I was blown away by how great our engagement photos came out! They were exactly what I was hoping for. I told Laurie during our first meeting she could charge more and she told me that she loved the couples she found to work with in our price range. Someone who is that down to earth and that focused on her craft and working with like-​minded people is exactly the type of person I want shooting my wedding! We can’t wait for those pictures as good as our engagement photos were, they are sure to be off the charts!

This is a ridiculously overdue review of our wedding photos, but better late than never. Laurie is amazing. Such a gentle spirit and we are so grateful that she was able to photograph our wedding in a very far to reach secluded location near Kirkwood, Tahoe. First of all, she drove a long way to get there, then was such a good sport at camping on the premises and her presence throughout the day was calming. The resulting photos are beautiful, intimate. We threw a real challenge at her with tons of family portraits and she did an amazing job getting all of them. Most importantly, she was able to capture the natural setting, the love we share for each other and the spirit of our special day. The lighting could not have been more challenging with an all-​outdoor-​harsh sun for most of the ceremony. Still, the images are breathtaking and we appreciate her attention to detail and adventurous spirit. Laurie — thank you for making me get in the boat and climb the granite rocks in high heels. It was worth it!

SF with Love and Laurie in particular are nothing short of fantastic. I’ve recommended her to everyone who cares to ask for my wedding recommendations. If you’re considering hiring her, do it. You won’t be disappointed.
First and foremost, the quality of her work is excellent. She did an amazing job of capturing the essence of our wedding — capturing the right moment at the right time in the right way — time after time. I’m able to relive our wedding through her pictures. Laurie and her team have an eye for coloring and framing. I’ve shared numerous photos with friends and family — and their resounding response has been, «Wow, that’s a beautiful shot.»

Laurie and her team are so easy to work with. She got the shots we wanted without a hassle. She focused on candids over portraits without debate. She over delivered in every way possible. Laurie and team are simply awesome

Laurie is such a talented photographer! We are so thankful that our friend introduced us to her. Before we booked her for our wedding, she set up a casual meet-​n-​greet to discuss what we were looking for and to explain how she typically steamlines the weddings she works. She is extremely professional and upfront. She provided us with a clear contract and made sure to remind us about important dates or tasks. Not only did our photos turn out gorgeous, but Laurie (and her secondary shooter, Taralynn) made us both super comfortable on our wedding day. She has an incredibly calming demeanor and kept us and our guests on track with our timeline without feeling pushy. Her photos have a romantic, artistic, indie and airy feel to them. They were the perfect style to supplement our nature-​themed/​boho wedding. She captured so many wonderful moments that we will cherish forever. The only advice I would give to couples is to make sure to work out the timeline well in advance and discuss with Laurie the terms should the timeline veer off course (which it inevitably will).
Laurie was great at communicating, even though we knew that she had lots of other weddings in the books. She always answered emails in a timely way and explained her thoughts thoroughly. We really felt taken care of. She also went above and beyond in processing our photos. She kept us updated during the post-​wedding editing process, and made me feel at ease while we waited. She provided us with a few hundred more than discussed in our contract, as well as a lovely flashdrive with all of our images backed up. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice and fervently recommend From SF With Love for your event!

Laurie is a phenomenal photographer. She covered our wedding, and I’m so grateful that I’ll always have her photos as a reminder of our special day. I had way too much fun on the day of our wedding to even notice some of the small details, but Laurie caught them all and framed them beautifully! She finds beauty in the most creative and unexpected places, and she captures the energy of a moment so perfectly. She is also wonderful to work with… super friendly and fun and she never made us do cliché poses. :) She is the best photographer you will find!

Laurie is a gem. We had an intimate city hall ceremony so it was important to us that our photographer be someone whose company we enjoyed and who fit right in with our friends and family. Laurie definitely fit that bill, she is calm and funny, and wrangled getting all the shots we wanted without it feeling like we were being overly posed or managed. She also photographed our reception party a few days later, and we had so many guests comment on her wonderful presence. We loved that she didn’t use imposing lights or interfere with the casual, unstructured feel of our party. And the photographs are truly spectacular! We can feel the love and vibes of the days every time we look at them (that’s us with the food truck and llamas in the photos). She is clearly a skilled photographer — capturing the morning light in City Hall, the foggy late afternoon in Sausalito for our post-​City Hall luncheon, and the dim, incandescent lighting at our nighttime warehouse reception with equal skill and lovely results. We couldn’t have been happier, hiring Laurie was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding. Thanks Laurie!

Laurie was an amazing photographer and captured my wedding beautifully! We had a boho/​farm/​music theme and you can feel the mood right through her photos. She even got us posted on a wedding blog — super fun! What is so amazing about Laurie is that her photos are truly pieces of art. She can capture so much more than just a portrait photographer. She is also so mellow and easy to work with because you don’t need any stress on your wedding day — and Laurie makes sure everything is mellow and puts you right at ease. She was one of the best decisions I made on my wedding day (next to my spouse) ;-)

Laurie is the best! Being camera shy myself, I was nervous about hiring a wedding photographer but Laurie but all my fears to rest immediately. She was such a pleasure to work with: smart, creative, fast, and effective at managing our guests and family without ever being pushy or overbearing. Best of all, the photographs were amazing! I cannot recommend Laurie enough!
