This place doesn’t look that great on the outside, but it’s not bad at all on the inside. A large aloe for $ 3? score. Friendly cashier is a bonus.

This is hands down my favorite Liquor store in the area. There is nothing wrong with this place. They have a great selection of beer, wine, and spirits. The prices are also pretty reasonable. This place is also great for finding all the little things you need. It has a variety of groceries and small household items. I know most liquor stores also carry all of these things but the worker Singh is the best. He is very friendly and always helps me out. If the store does not have a particular item and I request it Singh usually brings it within a matter of days. I love this place

Your local corner store in the Tenderloin. Of course, they sell cigarettes and alcohol and some extra goodies here as well. With Calafoods 4 blocks away, you’d expect someone to opt for the less expensive choice. But since it’s a long, 4 blocks worth of hiking mountains, I choose the easier path and just cross the street, after all it’s always nice to support your local stores. Like any liquor store, they have your basics from utilities, snacks, frozen meals, soft drinks, liquor, alcohol, beer, desert, all your necessities. Not too expensive but odds are just several cents more than what they’d cost at a supermarket. The positive thing about local stores is becoming real cool with the owners and workers. You kind of grow up knowing these people as those who supply your house in a certain way. After all, this was the spot growing up where I got my nacho cheese and coke. My pops also formed a cool bond with the owner, being one of his coolest customers by purchasing his modelos, coronas, victorias, all types of beers to the point of which discounts become a commonality. Last time I went their, I received the complement that my pops is a nice dude, $ 7 for a 6 pack of Victorias, take that Calafoods! Geary & Hyde Liquors is the spot!

I once saw a 5 foot tall Latin tranny scream, as she stepped in a huge pile of dog shit. It was awful. I was walking out of the Geary & Hyde market as this happened. Much to my horror, the tranny scampered towards me, blocking my exit. I retreated into the store, for fear of peripheral exposure to excrement. It was a good call. She was wailing in broken English for some napkins. «¡Servilleta! Servilleta!» Salvation in the form of some tissue is what she sought. Luckily, Singhe was quick to the rescue. With a roll of Bounty, and a quart of Pine Sol. Crisis solved. He is, a saint amongst men. I recommend this place. This is my neighborhood store. I go here almost every day. Sparkling water is my vice. Cases of Anchor Steam beer are well stocked. Because of me. Gloria Ferrer bottles are always well chilled. Because of me. They are so much more efficient at the register that lots of places. I know this, for I am/was, an expert cash handler. This all translates into quick, & convenient stop-offs, at my local connivence store.

Although weird stuff always happen around here, this is still one of my favorite corner stores. –I found a 6 pack of beer next to the store –some old guy cussed me out –someone came in and made a hissy-fit about Tomberone chocolate –I saw my first«grammy buying box wine» I could simply walk to the liquor store closer to where I stay, but the genuine workers at Geary & Hyde keep me loyal to them. The guys who own the place are especially nice. I requested that they should order Soju and more types of sake, and they granted my wish within a short period of time! I would offer for them to keep the change when I feel generous, yet they never keep it when it is more than 50 cents.

The two store clerks are very nice and they always remember me. They have HUGE bags of Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips which is good for me b/c I do a lot of baking. Also, if you ask them, they will try and stock a specific item for you.

You know, though this place is just another shitty corner store, I gotta give it four stars. You know why? They have Camo Black Ice xxXxx High Gravity Lager beer. It comes in a 24 oz can and the alcohol content is 10.5%. Nuff said.

Nothing spectacular corner market wise, but waaaay in the back you can find small bags of Iams cat food. Very handy when the cupboards are bare and the kitties are screaming for kibble.
