The crepes here are big and CRUNCHY! Not sure how I feel about a crunchy crêpe because I’m so used to eating soft chewy crêpe skin. But this was definitely a different experience. The taste was like a crunchy waffle, which I really enjoyed. For about $ 7-$ 8, you can get a scoop of icecream as well as fresh cut fruits with your crêpe. Next time, I’ll try an egg puff! Pros: Lots of street parking nearby. Open late! Cute little mini mart to check out while you wait for your crêpe. Takes credit card!

Yummm: P Their ice cream crepes are so simple but so good. My gf and I always think about coming here when we’re in the area. It’s just that good.

I had this the first time I visited the Bay Area 10+ years ago. I came back to relive that experience, but was devastated with the first bite where I immediately recognized that artificial green tea ice cream flavor that many cheap restaurants serve after dinner. I’m not sure if it is just my taste palette maturing over these years, if this store changed owners or they started deteriorating over time. I had an inkling of the trouble ahead when I walked in and thought it was noticeably dirtier than my memories had me believe. I also caught a glimpse of the green tea ice cream label before ordering which had cast some doubt in my mind about how good this was going to be. Sophie’s in Japan town is now the gold standard to beat.

I love the concept of being able to hold my crêpe like a cone. Genki allows you to enjoy your crêpe with ice cream in the center! I usually go for the banana nutella crêpe with vanilla ice cream. This crêpe is probably good for 2 people so sharing with your friends or family would be enough to fulfill your sweet tooth. The crêpe is crunchy on the outside and covered with nutella inside. This place only has street parking and has a $ 10 minimum on card payments. The minimart has items such as drinks, mochi ice cream, candy, chocolate, green tea kit kat and ramen packs.

This place would have received 4 stars, but a $ 10 minimum for credit card for a dessert place is so inconvenient. I ordered a lychee ice cream + custard crêpe. The lychee ice cream was creamy and had the perfect lychee flavor. There were slightly too much whipped cream for my liking, but that was overlooked because the custard meshed well with all the flavors. If you flatten the crêpe and spread the ice cream, then you can easily eat the crêpe like a sandwich. It’s light and satisfying for dessert.

This is my late night go to place for dessert place. Call me weird, but before I start choosing my ice cream crêpe, I usually try the ice cream first. The ones I have tried so far are: Vanilla Ice Cream + chocolate cake(2⁄5) –Chocolate cake was very dry, and I didn’t really like it. I just finished the crêpe and the ice cream instead. Chocolate Ice Cream + Cheesecake(3⁄5) — Good mix, but luckily I was sharing this one with a friend. The cheesecake was a bit too much for me. If you’re a big fan of cheesecake, go for it. Mango Ice Cream + Strawberry(4⁄5) Strawberry Ice Cream + Kiwi(4⁄5) Vanilla Ice Cream + Strawberry(4⁄5) Try to give everything a chance! I personally think getting other fillings other than dessert is weird. Sorry I cant review nutella because im allergic to hazelnut. Unless you pay me and give me an epipen, Ill try this for you haha

I can’t believe I’m just now writing a review for this place. Hands down my favorite dessert place in SF. My go-to order: Nutella crêpe with vanilla ice cream, strawberries, banana, and whipped cream! The first couple of bites you try to eat proper with a spoon. Then you say F it and smoosh the crêpe into a taco form and chow chow away. I don’t find myself in the Inner Richmond too often, but when I do, this place is a must. I always leave happy with Nutella marks on my face.

CRAVING egg puffs(~$ 4.06)? You’ve come to the right place. They’re pretty fast, but can get crowded. THey have different flavors of egg puffs like red bean, chocolate, nutella, blueberry, etc.

I’ve been here a handful of times especially when I lived in the avenues. Cool little market next to the food ordering area. The dessert never disappoints. I’ve had the Thai tea smoothie with boba. I mean it’s not a crazy drink but not many places serve it as a smoothie. Pretty bomb! Also always love their dessert crepes! Service depends on how many people are there. Sometimes it takes a while. There are benches to eat but wish they had tables…

Favorite crêpe place in the city. You get the best bang for your buck here, and the crepes themselves are the absolute perfect texture and have the most amazing taste. The premade combinations on the board are delicious and serve as great inspiration for creating your own crêpe — they are very open to customizing your order, and the workers here are super nice and accommodating. For some reason, my crêpe took a little while to make, but my wait was on the longer side and it only took around 5 – 7 minutes. And oh boy, this crêpe was totally worth the wait. I have no idea how they made the crêpe skin so thin and crispy… but it was sooooo delicious. I honestly think that the crispy and thin crêpe is what makes Genki stand out from other crêpe places in SF — I usually don’t like eating the excess crêpe at the bottom, but at Genki, I gobbled it all up! Also love that there is a minimart in the back, so during your short wait, you can take a walk around the mart and look at cool snacks and Asian trinkets — it’s a great way to pass the short wait time. Overall, I love the environment of Genki, the kindness and helpfulness of the workers, and the deliciousness of the crepes! I will definitely be back, many more times in the future!

The smell of batter wafting down Clement draws in pedestrians. Genki’s offers no frills sweet and savory crepes plus egg puffs and assorted drinks. There’s also a small but adequate selection of ice cream flavors to choose from. Genki’s crispy crepes are akin to Sophie’s, minus their foul attitude. I prefer soft, supple crepes like at Belly Good in Japantown but Genki’s has something for everyone. Even if you’re not in the mood for a crêpe /HK-style egg puff /milk tea, Genki’s is also a mini mart and they have a dizzying selection of Japanese candies to appease your sweet tooth + super kawaii toys and collectible figures. Street parking is hit or miss(you know how the Richmond is) and meters must be fed til 6pm daily, except Sunday’s.

My name is Kristal and I’ve been to Genki Crepes three nights in a row. I have no regrets. Genki Crepes will fulfill your dessert CREPE-vings. The crepes are big, crunchy(not soggy/or too soft), and full of flavor. I usually order the dessert crêpe with strawberries, nutella, and whipped cream. They are very generous with how much fruit they give you, but the other ingredients don’t overpower each other — a perfect balance. Quick service and open fairly late! Orders under $ 10 is cash only. There’s a long bench inside, but besides that, not much seating. It’s more of a grab and go spot. Genki crepes even offers egg puffs, boba, and smoothies. Its mini-mart also sells random asian snacks and drinks. A simple, but delicious place. My go-to crêpe place in the city!

+ THEFOOD Um… YUM! I ordered the mixed fruit crêpe with nutella after dinner and I still devoured that quickly. The mixed fruit consists of banana, strawberry, and mango. They definitely do not skimp on the fruits because it was A LOT. All the fruits were very fresh, even the mango, which isn’t in season! I loved how the nutella tasted with the fruits as it didn’t overpower the flavor of the fresh fruits. The crêpe itself was thin and crispy, just the way I like it. + THEENVIRONMENT Loved the snacks in the mini-mart! They’re very unique Asian snacks that you typically see in Hong Kong or Japan but rarely seen in the US. The aisles are pretty small and cramped but there is definitely a huge variety of snacks to buy. + THEPRICES My crêpe was around $ 5.50, which is pretty decent for the size of the crêpe. I probably wouldn’t spend over $ 6 for the crepes though, if the prices ever went up.

There’s only one place to go for you late night Crapecapades and that is Genki! You don’t really need them, but you want them. Crapes, and or Boba! There are a few nice restaurants and bars in this area, so what better to have on your way home then a Taiwanese snack! This place doesn’t look like much to the casual onlooker, it can get busy which says a lot about its quality. All of their snacks are great and I would even say that the quality and freshness of their milk teas are so nice you won’t recognize them after years of Quickly drinks. Seriously, check this place out when you are in the area. It’s really nice.

The crispy texture of the crepes here is amazing! No wait on a weekend evening. We shared the green tea ice cream with red bean crêpe($ 6). It had whipped cream at the top and was so delicious but not overly sweet. They also have a mini-mart where you can buy some Asian drinks or snacks while you wait for your crêpe to be cooked. The minimum credit card purchase is $ 10 so unless you get more than one crêpe you should bring cash.

Whenever I am in the Richmond and I crave dessert, it’s so difficult to choose. With three blocks filled with great food, why do I come to Genki Crepes? Because they know how to do crepes. And the line tells you that everyone else agrees with me. You have the option of savory and sweet– I have only ever gotten sweet whenever I have bought a crêpe from here. Order at the cash register, then wait for your number to be called. There’s a huge menu with a huge selection of already made crepes. But if those choices are still not cutting it for you– you can pretty much order your crêpe however you want. For example, I wanted my go-to nutella+strawberry+banana+ice cream crêpe and that’s what I ordered. No questions asked besides which flavor of ice cream I want. Be aware when you do this custom ordering nonsense– the price goes up rather quickly and easily. Bring cash unless you can hit the minimum(but this usually goes without saying at most places in SF). Hand rolled, crispy, and super filling.

How this place has such high reviews is beyond me! I ordered a crêpe there with my friends the other day and I was greatly disappointed. First of all, that place did not look clean and the market part of the store was messy and not well-stocked. Secondly, I was really annoyed with the $ 10 minimum for using a credit card. It’s the 21st century, how about we upgrade it. Lastly, the crêpe didn’t even taste good. Mine was burnt and I had high expectations from all of the positive Unilocal reviews. Well those are definitely not true!

I only come here for their famous crepes, although they do have a lot of interesting snacks and random stuff for sale since it’s also a mini mart. The only other thing I would consider buying is a bag of green tea kit kats! Anyway, I love their sweet crepes. I’ve been coming here for years, but I think their prices have gone up and quality has gone down a bit. Two crepes with Nutella, vanilla ice cream, strawberries and bananas cost almost $ 18 yesterday… Which I think is overpriced considering they don’t put as much fruit in it as they used to. They’re still delicious though and the smell of freshly made crepes keeps luring me in!

Crepes are allll the rage in SF, and my go-to place is Genki. I always visit during the night time for some reason, and the line can be long, but does move quickly. They have a long list of sweet and savory crepes. My favorite, however, is the crêpe with vanilla ice cream, nutella, bananas and fresh whipped cream. SOOOOOGOOOOOOD! This comes out to about ~$ 5 which I think is super worth it. Parking is doable, I mean, you’re in the Clement area so I personally don’t expect VIP/BOSS parking whenever I’m making my way there. But they’re mostly metered parking(free after 6pm!).

So yum! I am typically not a fan of sweet crepes but Genki has me hooked! I have been here several times during my trips to the Bay Area & I am never disappointed. Plus, it is opened late, perfect for when you are craving a sweet treat at night! The key to their successful crepes is that it is crispy! The batter is nicely sweetened & there is a variety of toppings to choose from: spreads, fruits, ice cream, as well as a selection of savory crepes. My favorite mix: Nutella Strawberries Bananas Green tea ice cream (A fantastic mix to make your mouth salivate) Perfect for on the go since it is packaged as a cone! Also, do not forget to order their egg puffs which comes in many flavors!

This place has awesome desserts! They make the crepes fresh by the order. They serve serve ice cream, and egg waffles. Food was served hot and fresh. But I felt like the service could have been faster. This location is also unique that they also sell Japanese snacks and other Japanese misc food. I bought some Japanese rice crackers since the prices are so reasonable compared to most places in SF. This place is a popular spot on the weekends to catch up with friends over dessert! I just wish they made it into a nice restaurant so you can sit at a table instead of standing around outside.
