Giorgio’s is easily one of the top pizza spots in San Francisco and I’ve missed it dearly since moving out of the Inner Richmond. The warm atmosphere and neighborhood feel is getting tough to find in the Bay, and the quality of the pizza is New York City level! The thin crust is perfection and customer service is among the best in the city. Giorgio’s is the gold standard against which all other pizza joints in the Bay should be judged by. The location is also perfect on Inner Richmond’s glorious Clement Street. This is one of the top restaurants in one of the top neighborhoods in San Francisco.

If you want to go to a low key Italian restaurants with great food and large portions then come here! I came here on a Friday night, waited 10 minutes for a table and got seated at one of their red and white checkered tables. Very Italian! Pesto cream spaghetti(4⁄5) — Cheesy, creamy, and nice basil flavor. Loved it! Only thing it could use was some more salt. Giorgio’s special pizza(5⁄5) — We ordered a thin crust, whole wheat pizza. I loved that they give you these options. Really good pizza with not a lot of crust, just the way i like it.

The veggie pesto calzone was delicious. The wine really needed some help. Other than the bad wine the beer was good and Ye food was outstanding. I would definitely frequent this pizzeria if I lived in sf.

Upon entering Giorgios I was overwhelmed with warmth, good smells and a lovely atmosphere. Friday night pizza is a tradition and this place fits the mold. Staff working hard, lots of families getting their pizza fix, and booths with checkered table cloths. Pizza was really good, they even have gluten free!

We have been coming to Giorgio’s over the course of several years and the quality has varied. It has definitely improved in recent years. The pizza we had today(sausage and mushroom) had a good medium crust thickness. The toppings were generous and well distributed. The only issue I had was with the bread they gave us. When we were eating a piece, we found a hair baked in to it. To be honest this only confirms the concerns we had had about cleanliness. Highly disconcerting…

This time I had delivery again, the super thin pizza with ham, sausage, bacon and both the mozzarella cheese, and added Parmesan cheese, cooked crispy. It is fantastic! Delivery was right on time also. I used their online ordering. Very trick. Love it!

Legitimate ! Thin crust, and distinct dough flavor which for me, personally, significantly elevates the pizza experience from cheese n bread n stuff, to PIZZA. Got the Giorgio’s Special — all the meats + mushrooms. A little oily so the slice doesn’t stand the way I like, i assume owing to all the meats piled on this pie, but hey you win some you lose some. This makes my SF short list — I will be back !

I got there 15 minutes before closing but they still seated me. They told me to sit anywhere, wish i had been taken to a table. I got iced tea, cesar salad, spaghetti, and bread. They forgot to give me my utensils, but my waitress was very nice. The atmosphere is a bit on the louder side. They have the classic checker board table cloth which I actually liked. The lighting for some reason dims every couple minutes. The bathroom was sort of clean. Okay as far as the food goes, the flavor was right on. About the only thing I wanted was a little more of a presentation. This place was definitely close to getting another star. For example if the spaghetti had fresh basil on top. I am curious to try more of the menu. My meal was around $ 18 with tip. I wish the prices were a little cheaper.

Great service and great pizza, but there is something you need to know. First, NEVER, ever try the Mini size pizza. There’s only a tiny bit of topping there.(Well, tastes good.) second, the wings there are small too… After I complained about the mini pizza to the lady who serviced me, she gave me a slice of large pizza. And that’s the kind of pizza which worth 5 stars rating.

Salad: good, Pizza: good, Service: good. This is coming from a bruddah that don’t eat pizza that often. Had a beer which was good too.

Came here last Wednesday for a weeknight dinner in the neighborhood. After not realized how much wine a liter really was, we ordered it. Whoops! Didn’t mean to turn up on a Wednesday, but for 18 bucks what a deal! Wine was great, vodka sauce, pizza and service were also fabulous! Love the family/casual vibe. Prices are beyond reasonable for SF. Would be nice for a cozy Sunday dinner spot. One complaint — it’s SO hot in there! Install some fans or a better ventilation system!

The pizza here is good. in a greasy pizza kind of way, which is just what you need sometimes. I really liked the calzones and wings here as well. The calzones are stuffed(duh) but ALSO have cheese on top! Delicious! The wings have a surprisingly healthy taste to them… as far as wings go at least… and I say surprising because this is my go to greasy pizza/extra cheesy calzone place. But they taste fresh and juicy and they aren’t too greasy or heavy. I’ve only been inside to eat once, and I know this isn’t a big deal at all, but I was kind of thrown off by the décor of the place though if I’m going to be completely honest. It’s got red lighting and it kinda made me feel like I was baking in an oven along with the pizzas.

Over priced, average pizza at best and horrible service. Good luck if there is a crowd. You’re never going to get in as the front of the house is confused. Many better options for pizza in SF.

This is a quintessential pizza joint. And maybe the definition of family pizza night. I can’t remember a time when I went in & it wasn’t packed w kids. It’s especially big w little league teams. A bit frantic at times, it’s a lot of fun & über easygoing. You just gotta know going in that it may be a wait for everything, & not be in a hurry. The pizza, while nothing fantastic, to be fair, is solid. It’s nothing fancy, just straight up pies. The calzone was a bit disappointing. Very filling of course, but rather bland. I need me some delizioso sauce! I think I like the nostalgia of it more than anything. It’s old school. Family Italian. The red & white checkered tablecloths, etc. A friend of mine used to work here, & I have another friend in the richmond that always brings his kids’ softball team here after a game. See? That’s what it’s all about. Family. Great place. Okay food. 3 stars.

Giorgio’s has some of the best pizza I have tasted in SF. I was so delighted when I found out they were finally offering delivery. I also enjoy dining in. The restaurant has lots of old school east coast charisma. I am a sucker for great red sauce and they have delightfully rich marinara sauce and a hearty, delicious marinara. Calzones are a savory treat as well.

I had decided that I wanted pizza for lunch and, not being familiar with San Francisco, just looked for places that were near me on Unilocal.I found Giorgio’s and decided to give them a try. I’m really glad that I did. To start, I loved the décor and ambience of this little place. They had the little red and white checkered table cloths and nice decorations hanging from a trellis. It was comfortable and friendly. Looking at the menu, I couldn’t decide between a slice of pizza and the awesome looking pasta dishes. In the end, I decided that I really didn’t want to make a choice so I ordered both: a slice of Giorgio’s Special and a plate of Spicy Sausage Penne. The pizza slice was huge and absolutely delicious. It had a thin crispy crust with just the right amount of sauce and a generous amount of pepperoni, salami, sausage and mushrooms. As for the pasta, it was fantastic; spicy without being so hot as to mask the flavors of the dish. The combination of the sausage and peppers was great and the mushrooms added a great component to the texture. The serving size was quite generous. Since I had ordered both a large pizza slice and the pasta, I took half of each home with me. I am truly glad I ordered both though. I can’t imagine having missed out on either.

On my quest to find good East coast pizza, I remain disappointed. Giorgio’s is tolerable, and we usually end up ordering from there because nothing else even remotely good delivers to us. But it’s just not great. And no, putting raw onions on the pizza before putting in the oven does not constitute caramelized onions. But the worst part is the piece of cardboard that my husband found in his salad and almost choked on. Just all around not good. In fairness, they dealt with the situation very professionally and put a note in our account to get a free pizza next time we ordered, but still, cardboard in pizza? How does that happen?

I’ve been here a couple of times, and I’ve never been disappointed. What I really like about Giorgio’s is its welcoming atmosphere and homey décor As far as the food, the pizza is the star. I’ve mostly gotten a personal pizza with a salad, and it comes to around $ 12-$ 14. I got the penne marinara the other day, and a side of broccoli done«G-style» with garlic, chili flakes, and butter. The marinara was sweet, and it paired well with the broccoli. I got the smaller plate of pasta, and I still had leftovers. I really like how you have the option of plate sizes for most of their pastas. As far as their pizzas are concerned, they’re pretty good. You can customize the crust, as well as the pizza itself. They also have pre-set options to choose from on the menu. Because it’s a family restaurant, it can get pretty loud depending on how many children are inside. And it’s usually a full house, even on a Monday night when I went.

I think this place is great for families, however the other day I got a pizza for take out and was less than impressed. It wasn’t particularly busy yet but the pizza seemed like it had been neglected. The pizza was way to chewy, my daughter used the word struggle to describe the process of eating her cheese pizza. I generally like this establishment, not sure what they did so wrong on this occasion.
