Description

Specialties

Welcome to the most dog gone fun a pooch can have — running wild with Go Dog Go. We focus on individual dogs or pairs (max!) to ensure that your four legged friend is given tons of attention, lots of exercise and a dog-pile of fun. Whether your dog is a herder or a hound, likes to leap, sprint or even pull a bit, we will run, jog or walk him or her through the city for a fun and tiring Go Dog session.

We focus on providing a safe and fun environment for your pooches to exert their extra energy, run and play or just have a happy stroll around their neighborhood without too many doggie distractions. We differ from lots of other dog walkers in that we focus on just one to two dogs maximum (with owners approval of course) per session.

History

Established in 2009.

Founded by dog lover, SPCA volunteer and fitness fiend, Go Dog Go came about after realizing how many SF pooches needed personalized fitness and fun. For dogs of all sizes and types, Go Dog Go is for those canine friends who want to run, run and run some more. Though not specifically for dogs who might not ‘play well with others’, we do focus on dogs that desire more individualized attention and a fitness session that leaves them happy and tired!

I got into dog running through my background in group fitness and personal training. When I started volunteering at the SFSPCA I saw tons of dogs that needed more than a stroll around the block, they needed to run! Thus became the equation of me + running + dogs. I have been running dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperamants for three years now and I have more and more fun each day. Each dog I encounter brings a new personality, tons of love and a lot of humor too! I really value working with dogs who may need special attention and extra exercise, for they grow and learn at an amazing rate. And the greatest part of this job (besides being outside with pooches everyday) is hearing clients’ comments on their dogs’ increased energy and quality of life.
