There’s only one court but it’s pretty nice.

my old tennis instructor (jim? tim? i can’t facking remember) used to make me come here to practice my volley and swings.
i SUCKED so hard at tennis that not even someone i PAID wanted to play with me. so i practiced and hit that damned ball like my life counted on it staying inbounds every single time. back and forth, back and forth.
soon enough, i got into a nice little rhythm and the forehand didn’t shoot off in errant directions and the backhand was actually kind of decent and «maria sharapova-​like» (per my instructor jim-​tim, minus the horrible and ugly GRUNTING. i save that for the bedroom… JUST KIDDING FOLKS! I’M PURE AS THE DRIVEN SNOW)
as soon as i start serving over the net, i think i’ll be able to play a real game. this court is actually decent for practice, but i would rather go to other courts for a real game. i just have to STOP EMBARASSING myself every time i step onto the hard green surface and try to hit the yellow ball within the white lines.
sounds easy, right? let’s see you try it, mofo.

Only one court and I swear it’s lopsided…

From a distance if you’re just driving through the tunnel, it looks fine. But stop in, and you’ll not like it. I remember coming here as a kid with my grandfather to play in the sand pits and that wierd tunnel that was off to the side of the children’s rec center. I remember learning how to play mini-​pool. I remember building houses with those giant plastic wall thingies. Now it just sucks from the last time I stepped in. They don’t have those standing logs that you can jump off of dangerously into the sand.
Where is the love.

Only one court, but at least there is a wall outside the court for practicing your backhand while waiting.

Three stars because there’s only one court. The good news is that it’s been repositioned and refinished.
