Hollywood Hair Salon

I went to Hollywood Hair Salon with my mother, and it was the worst experience i could have ever had! I went in and waited patiently for the stylist i like to finish up with another customer, my mother went with another lady. When the stylist i had been waiting for (Jacki) was finishing up with her customer, a lady, whom was very familiar with the owner ran in claiming she needed her hair done ASAP, because she was meeting up with some friends and she had no time to wait. The owner (working on my mother) said that if she could wait half an hour she would get to her when she was done. She used the bathroom, and came out to ask another stylist (sitting doing her own hair) if she could do it. The owner shushed her, and told her that the stylist i had been waiting 30 minutes for could do her hair! She said it wouldn’t take long, all she needed was a trim and a curl. They wouldn’t take no for an answer! The lady was so pushy and RUDE. Jacki took the woman before me and i waited LONGER THAN AN HOUR FOR NOTHING. I didn’t get my hair cut– i only had about an hour to spare out of my busy day. After that, my mother complained saying that it was wrong for them to take the other lady before me and the lady who took my spot KEPT STARING AT US! After rudely arguing with my mother, the owner said i should have made an appointment before coming, when i had called THREE TIMES two hours before! The lady who had come in hadn’t made an appointment, so why did she get to go before me? They dealt with the situation TERRIBLY and i would NOT EVER reccomend someone to go here. It is a waste of time, they are rude and slightly dirty. AND while i was waiting i had to put up with the owners mentally handicapped son HITTING ON ME. And everyone working there saw that i was uncomfortable THE WHOLE TIME he was talking to me and DID NOTHING. NOTHING!
This place is a waste of time, money, and air. NEVER go there.

Ricardo is the only perosn who I let touch my hair. I’ve been going there for 10 years and I love it. I have long, thick hair and it always takes 3 – 5 hours to color my hair. Either with highlights or without. Ricardo not only has the best hands to style my hair, but he has great customer service skills. He’s attentive, jentle and very friendly. I strongly recommend Ricardo. Maybe the only bad thing about him is that he can run a little late sometimes, but it’s all worth it because you come out of that place SATISFIED.

They had 2 Salons, but now just 1 Salon so they can focus better on their clientele. so the good news is they are still on Mission. and still as better than EVER!!!

i saw my friends hair one day and i was wowed and then the next month again she had a sort of different hair style and again I was wowed. and i had to get the stylist. NASHA…at the hollywood in the mission i have already been there 4 – 5 times and i have been happy everytime. and the price is excellent 20 – 30 including hair drying which she really knows how to do! granted her style is more feminine. long hair, soft layers. if you like that go here!

Once upon a time, I lived in the beautiful city of SF. I would always go to this place to get my hair did. And let me tell you, I always came out looking super fabulous without dishing out those benjamins! If you want a new style, a touchup, trim, blowout, or whatever, then, check this place out, they have some really talented stylists, who know whats up and know how to make you look and feel BEAUTIFUL for a fraction of the price!!! The best part is they always accept walk-​ins, or you can make an appointment too!
¹⁄₂₀₀₈ update: I agree with Maria C., the Hollywood stylist Nasha does wonders with hair! She is always up-​to-​date on new styles and makes me loook beautiful every time. I always leave the salon looking 10 times better each and every time I step foot here. You will be hooked too, I guarantee it.

Once AGAIN… They did it AGAIN… They turned me into a GLAMOROUS DIVA!!! I’ve NEVER gotten SO many compliements before… its like even the women at safeway were commenting on my NEW hair… and the checker went out of her way to give me a coupon, lol. THAT NEVER HAPPENS!!! :)
Its AMAZING how they can turn my lifeless hair into a work of art. and make it look and feel so much healthier than its EVER been. even after dying it.
I told my stylist that i felt as if i was in a Pantene commericial with my long, flowing soft hair that she had just dyed, cut (reshaped my layers) and blow-​dryed). I TOTALLY LOVE IT! AND IM SO GRATEFUL TO MY STYLISTS AT HOLLYWOOD!!!
I WILL TRAVEL NEAR OR FAR JUST TO GET MY HAIR DONE AT THIS PLACE WIT MY STYLIST !!!
NOT ONLY THAT BUT THEY ALSO HOOKED ME UP WITH THE BEST EYEBROWS EVER! AND IT WAS SOO CLEAN AND PAINLESS. I used to go else where, but now I just go to hollywood, where I can get my hair done and my eyebrows done & perfectly arched all in just one visit. I love full service salons! And I especially LOVE Hollywood because they make me look and feel oh, so, GLAMOUROUS without burning a hole in my pocket!!!
