Description

Specialties

I provide skills training seminars and continuing education for dental professionals. Photography can be a very powerful tool in treatment acceptance so it was imperative that I learn how to do it and do it well! I’ve become proficient not only in how to take photos, but also how to use them to gain treatment acceptance. Having perfected these skills, I now share my knowledge with other dental professionals and have been doing so since 1999. While the use of photography is an excellent way to communicate cosmetic and some functional issues to patients, precision occlusal records are required to truly consider all risk factors prior to treatment. I know how to take impressions, facebow transfers and centric relation bites and mount the cases on precision articulators. I understand bite interferences and how they can be corrected through equilibration with bite adjustments or restorations. I can also effectively communicate the functional aspect of recommended treatment to patients.

History

Established in 2009.

I’ve worked in dentistry since I graduated from dental assisting school in 1994. After a few years at a general practice in my hometown of Modesto, I left for San Francisco, happy to score a new job at the office of one of the Co-Founders of the AACD and a true pioneer in comprehensive dentistry. It was here that I learned about the micro and macro esthetics of smile design, as well as how to consider occlusal issues and other risk factors prior to treatment planning. My five years of guest service experience with The Walt Disney Company helped to give me the gift of gab with regard to treatment acceptance. I love talking with patients and that comes across in the way I communicate with them to improve their understanding of the recommended treatment.
