For a while we didn’t have a doctor simply because it’s hard to find someone that you feel comfortable with, whose patient enough, and that it’s someone who would make you feel that you’re being taken care of. That is, until we found Dr. Schafhalter. She very nice and patient. She pays attention to you, explains things well, and gives good advice. Regardless if your concerns are big or just petty things she makes you feel comfortable by listening to what you have to say. With SutterPacific you can access your health records online and be able to send messages to your care provider. We had to request for an additional blood test order so that we don’t have to go back to the lab and Dr. S responded to our request right away. We’re really happy to meet Dr. S and she will definitely be primary doctor from now on and the next coming years.

I selected Dr. Schafhalter-​Zoppoth because of her educational background. Upon arrival I was greeted with a friendly smile and asked the same generic list of questions followed by «How can I help you».
My appointment was to establish a relationship with her and to request a blood panel. I shared with her my medical history and brought in my last lab work request from my endocrinologist back home. Basic things like: Thyroid, Iron, Cholesterol, Hormones, Vitamins, etc. It has been around 3 – 4 years since I have had these tests (due to lack of insurance) and I wanted to see where I was considering my lifestyle change.
I was surprised to hear her say that she did not feel that the test should be conducted. I pressed her to tell me why and her example was «Just by looking at you, you don’t look like you have an Iron deficiently» Red flag! That is exactly the mentality that I do not want in my doctor. Plenty of «fit» looking people have deficiencies.
She did however agree to test my Vitamin D and one Thyroid test, and asked me to come back for a physical.
Her office called several days later to tell me that my Vitamin D was low. Dr. Schafhalter-​Zoppoth prescribed some medicine and asked that I return to her office in 8 months. No word on a followup for a physical, no word on my transferred results from my endocrinologist.
Disappointed by the lack of medical care offered. Will not return to Dr. Schafhalter-​Zoppoth.
