My aunt arranged for the members of the wedding party to have hair and nails done at Jackson. Our appointments were staggered… delicious coffee and really yummy pastry from the tiny coffee château right outside the salon. Liz did my highlights and the best cut I have had in — years. She’s a genius rock-​star! I kept humming «I feel pretty «Morgan did the blushing bride’s tresses… see her photos /​review. Natalie was amazing! She did two girls hair — we all looked Cover girl cute! Alla is THE Nail lady… super fast and extremely thorough.
We all love Jackson!

Highly recommend Lucia for a mens cut. She is very knowledgable in what she does and works with her customers to give them 100% satisfaction.

I made the mistake of peeling my Gel Polish off my nails. It left my nails is sad shape. They were jagged, torn and just awful looking. Alla at Jackson Place salon totally fixed them for me! She evened out my nail shape. She buffed away the rips in my nail bed. She was also quick but detailed. I work in the area and needed to be in and out.
Alla is excellent! And my nails never looked better.

Francisca is amazing! I am very particular when it comes to waxing and when my main girl in the marina was unavailable I Had to search for other options. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease while she quickly moved through my wax appointment. She is gentle and precise, my Brazilian was effortless and my eyebrows perfectly arched. I will definitely be back.

Bui is an AMAZING hairdresser. He listened to my needs and didn’t cut my long hair too short. After he finished the cut and dry, we both agreed my hair could benefit from a few more layers. The end result was fantastic. My hair is still long but feels so much lighter. I’m really happy with the end results!

Natacha saved my hair.
I have long, fine hair with cowlicks all along my forehead. Natacha was able to transform my limp hair into a shape that has movement, works well with my face and hair type, and requires very little maintenance. I’ve received many compliments since Natacha cut my hair and I cannot get over how easy it is to style now that I have a cut that works with my hair.

I want to give a shout-​out to Morgan Brown, who is a great stylist and a cool cat. I’d been getting my hair cut at the same cheap place for about ten years. It was cheap and my hair is simple — what can I say? But last year I was in desperate need of a trim and visited Morgan, whose salon is near my office. She took one look at my hair, pointed out three things that could be done better, then executed a really great haircut. Within a week, my wife, my mom, and about a half-​dozen other people commented that my hair looked much better than usual. Now I’m hooked. It’s more expensive than what I was used to, but good value for the TLC your hair gets. I highly recommend Morgan!

Having naturally super curly, mind-of-it’s-own hair, I was hesitant to consider highlights because they’d likely look different every day. Before visiting David Bui at Jackson Place, I’d had all over hair-​color applied, but never ventured into the super light caramel+blond color mixture that David blended for me.
Carefully placed to frame my face, David’s attention to detail and wisdom when dealing with curly locks resulted in a super fresh look that I absolutely LOVE. It’s the middle of winter now and eternal summer on my head, and yes I feel a few degrees warmer walking the streets of SF with my artificially sun-​kissed locks.

Ashley Preston is AMAZING! I live down on the Peninsula but make my trek up to SF every other month to see Ashley. She does an amazing job with my hair. Many people don’t know how to properly cut straight, Asian hair, but I’ve loved every cut with her!

An amazing experience from A to Z! I was with Ashley and she definitely knows how to make you comfortable, while being extremely professional. She’s extremely friendly, in a great way. From the unexpected scalp massage to the great complimentary cup of coffee, everything of it is from pleasant to more pleasant! It’s really hard to make me consider an hour at the hairdresser as a necessary waste of time, but I walked out of there understanding fully the people who go weekly, as I was feeling really good about the hour I’d just spent.
I dropped one star just because the business is somewhat misfiled as «$$», while I paid $ 75 for a man’s haircut, which sounds more like «$$$» to me! I really should have checked the prices rather than blindly trust the Unilocal filing, agreed… Was it worth $ 75? I’d say yes, because as it was happening, I was thinking «this has got to be an error and be a $$$ place!» Still, finding out late came as a somewhat unpleasant surprise…
If unlike me you can afford these kinds of prices, and are smart enough to check prices beforehand, I can’t see a reason not to go and enjoy!

Lucia is great. She has been cutting my hair since 2008 and always keeps me looking my best. I highly recommend you go see her.

I feel so guilty putting up this mediocre review but I had a really bad experience here. My haircut was sloppy and I had to go get it fixed by someone else two weeks later. Also the tint was not great. I was bummed.

MORGAN is the BEST!!! I have been going to her for almost a year. I have had many people cut my hair in the past and I finally found the best. She takes her time and makes me look super sexy! :)

I have never had the haircut that would 100% satisfy me, but Natasha is the best hairdresser that I had so far. I am really picky but she was able to style me as I wanted. First, she advised me in how she thinks my hair should be styled and I totally agreed with her! Totally recommend Natasha!!!

Natacha Denoun is an absolute GEM! I have lived in the Bay Area for almost 10 years and have jumped between a few salons and stylists, never getting into a solid groove and honestly not spending that much time thinking about hair :)
Enter NATACHA! I luckily found her on Unilocal,and decided to give it a try last week. From the moment I met her, I knew it was going to be a wonderful experience– she has fantastic energy, is completely committed to making it your best haircut ever, and is a true joy to be around. I have long, wavy/​kinky hair that I like to keep as low-​maintenance as possible, which can be a struggle since I never know exactly how it will dry. Natacha has such a fantastic instinct for hair and was so thoughtful/​purposeful with how she approached the cut. I LOVE the layers she introduced, and feel like my hair looks thicker and has more movement than ever! For the first time ever, I’m able to let it air dry and trust that it will look great on it’s own– such a game changer for getting out the door in the morning.
My bottom line: it was an absolute pleasure hanging out with Natacha (she is SUCH a special person!) and am thrilled that I have found a permanent place to go for haircuts from here on out!

It’ll probably seem ridiculous, but after living in about 12 different cities over the past 20 years, I’ve never felt settled anywhere until I’ve found the right salon. After my first visit to Jackson Place, I genuinely felt like I was home. Two visits later, I have no choice but to just move in. I love it THAT much.
The best thing about this place in general is the fact that everyone is a perfectionist. It sounds like they’ve all had their own unique experiences with good cuts, bad color jobs, difficult stylists, etc; as a result, they know exactly what NOT to do.
My initial appointment was just a cut — after that, I decided I needed some color in my life. Natalie contacted me personally to see what state my hair was in, the look I was going for, and how much time we had to work on it.
Here’s what we were working with — I’m a dark brunette and wanted to go purple ombré. I’d already experimented with an over the counter dye earlier that week. I was using horrible shampoo, and I hadn’t washed it out for at least two days. I was a train wreck.
Natalie killed it within two hours — according to my previous stylist, this was a project that should have taken four. She was efficient, focused, and somehow still so freakin’ fun to hang out with. Miles, her assistant, was the sweetest and most attentive guy ever. Between the two of them, I felt extremely special — and I totally live for that kind of thing. Plus, my hair looks amazing… I’ve never had so many compliments on the cut or the color. As long as I don’t open my mouth, I could pass for a freakin’ rockstar.

Best haircut ever! I am constantly being complimented on the style. I am moving 4 hours away from S. F. BUT I will drive back just to get my hair done by Natalie! No joke.

This review is for Morgan and LONG overdue.
I’ve been coming to Morgan for a couple years and she never disappoints. She only cuts mens hair, and she’s the best I’ve come across to date. I missed her once last year as she was out on maternity leave, and made the mistake of going to a cheap barber (which for some reason has good Unilocal reviews), but I won’t make the same mistake twice!
I’m pretty particular about my hair and Morgan never lets me down. Cost is on the higher side depending on what you’re used to, but worth every penny because the quality is unbeatable. She also takes appointments online, which is super convenient.

I just started coming here after my hairdresser moved from a nearby salon. The salon itself has a great vibe; it’s warm and inviting. I really like the products they use.
Natalie is the best hairdresser I’ve ever had. She’s talented, personable, and efficient. I love that I can be in and out with a fabulous hair cut in under an hour. She has also been giving me hair treatments every 5 weeks in order to help my damaged hair.
