Description

Specialties

Prosthodontics is a dental specialty recognized by the American Dental Association. As a prosthodontist I provide diagnostic services and treatment for patients experiencing bite problems, missing teeth, worn teeth, and/or esthetic concerns. Prosthodontic treatment may include implants, dentures (plates), fixed bridges, and crowns (caps). Our objective is to offer and explain all feasible options to our patients in order to improve comfort, enhance esthetics and restore function.

We have an «in house» dental laboratory including full time technicians trained in state of the art ceramics to provide an optimum esthetic result. Cosmetic consultations with our staff ceramist allow for development of size, shape and color of anterior teeth customized to each individual.

In a recent unsolicited survey published in «Bay Area Consumer’s Checkbook» the authors were quoted, «We asked almost all actively practicing dentists in the Bay Area to name one or two specialists in six specialty fields they would consider most desirable for care of a loved one.» Among prosthodontists in San Francisco, Dr. Jacobson was named most often by the general dentists surveyed.
