The contact number rings busy. The last review is 2011. I don’t think this is a viable listing any longer.

James has completed several home repair projects for me. His work has been consistently excellent, and I would definitely recommend his services to others.
One project involved creating custom shelving for our very tall — but empty — victorian closet space. James worked with me to design shelves that were exactly the right dimensions. The new shelves are incredibly sturdy and well-​built.
On another occasion, James repaired several pieces of antique furniture in our home. He took great care to preserve the original look of the items (a hutch and a coffee table) while improving structural integrity. Thanks to James, our rickety, splintery (but beloved) coffee table has new life.

James is very reliable (tough to find in this business) and shows up when he says he’s going to. His work is top notch and his prices very reasonable. Highly recommend him to all.

James has done simply excellent work for me & is a real pleasure to work with. In addition to doing great work (I love the various improvements to my house he has made), he is innovative and conscientious — he came up with unique hanging shelves in my garage and was always very careful about how much things were going to cost & keeping me appraised.
That all being said, the best thing I can say about James is that he really is a craftsman: he *cares* about his work and *cares* about what you think of it. It shows in his approach and in his results. Enough said.
If you have any sort of carpentry or builder/​contractor type work, do yourself a favor & give James a call. I’m honestly about to call him again for something :-)

FULL DISCLOSURE: You might be wondering, after such a glowing review, if I have a personal connection to James: a) yes I do, somewhat but b) that has little to do with why I’m writing this review. James is an acquaintance of mine which is how he ended up doing work for me — I bumped into him one day in the neighborhood & found out he was a carpenter — so I asked him to help me out on some house projects. That being said, I’m writing this review because I really appreciate people who love what they do & care about their customers. After you talk to him, you’ll understand that he’s the type of person who treats his customers well, whether he knew them before, or not. ‘Nuff said.
