It’s really a great dental place. They know your situation if you have insurance or not. Discounts are very rare in this business. Dr. Jang is a local success story. I never had a bad experience with any of the associates.

I have had excellent, professional, cost competitive service here for several years. First Dr Jang, then when he retired, Dr Boh, assisted by Kay. Dental Hygiene/​cleaning by Margaret is friendly, painless, and even motivational (for the first time, I now book cleaning appointments 6 mo in advance and look forward to them). I always get appointments to fit my schedule and I have been seen on time or early every time. The only time I needed urgent care, they fit me in on same day.
I have never been pushed for extra work or unneeded xrays. Twice, routine checks indicated old crowns would probably need replacement within 6 months to a year. They went over my insurance plan to space out future work and recommended the most economical schedule. I chose to do nothing and lost on the gamble and had to have an emergency crown replacement. One crown by Dr Jang loosened after about 18 months. Dr Boh replaced it for FREE but noted it was a particularly difficult crown because there was not enough tooth foundation left and I probably should have had a more expensive /​intrusive proceedue but she wanted to try the simplest solution first.
My Mother in Law also goes here (Dr Lee) and she does not have insurance so we have some idea of cost comparisons (crowns, cleaning etc.) with other dentists. She is happy with prices, service, and quality. So when Mom is happy, I am really happy :-). I highly recommend Jang and Associates.

I have been coming here for a few years now as it is close to my home. I always ask for Margaret to do the cleaning as she is very professional, thorough and my teeth feel very clean afterwards. Don’t hesitate to go here for dental work.

Dr. Kathy lee is amazing and is the only reason I go all the way to San Francisco from Alameda for dental work. The particular reason I am writing this review is my recent experience with her. My wisdom teeth are growing in and I went to see her about it in September regarding it. It was not a concern at that time but she was very adamant about speaking to my orthodontist about my treatment. She has been attempting to contact my ortho while emailing me from time to time to give me updates. Last week my wisdom teeth starting hurting really bad, my neck started to swell. I emailed her with my symptoms and she got back to me right away, genuinely being concerned. She was urgently provided me with referrals to oral surgeons and has called me to check up on me. While my appointment isn’t until Monday she has saved me by prescribing antibiotics and pain medication.
Dr. Lee is the best. I have never felt a medical professional be so caring about my well being. I will continue to go to her for as long as I can.

Totally disappointed when I received my bill! Totally ripped off! Before I had only one dental insurance and agreed to pay the 10% of my copayment. Now I have dual insurance and I still have to pay for the remaining balance. I had routine cleaning, bi-​annual X-​ray, and one filling. And my husband had the same procedures done at somewhere else, he didn’t have to pay a dime. I called the Jiang associates and tried to have them to solve the problem. Yet, the girl told me to call my insurance and find out why? How do I know your billing and my insurance billing process! For sure no return to this dental office ever! Oh, if you don’t show up for your appointment because of emergency, you still have to pay the $ 50 no show fee! Ridiculous!

I am surprised by all the bad reviews. I have been going to Jang and Associates for about 8 years and nothing but excellent services and care. I am usually in for the run of the mill cleanings and cavities but the work I had has been good.
The atmosphere and décor is kind of 80’s and retro but the cubicles are clean and sanitary.
I see Dr. Kathy and she is really personable and has good bedside manners. I always feels like she makes an effort to connect even though I am sure she sees tons of patients. The hygienist are ok too.

Couldn’t afford X-​rays. Just cleaning. Had to tell them several times no X-​rays. Last time I got X-​rays they tried to talk me into getting 2 fillings replaced that are fine. Replacing those fillings would result in needing 2 root canals equalling $ 2000. Got X-​rays elsewhere and dentist said those fillings were fine. Kinda shook his head in disbelief.
They do teeth cleaning really well but if that’s all you want they treat you like an inconvenience. Dentist would barely speak to me after I turned down getting X-​rays. At end of cleaning she walked out w/​o saying anything. I had to literally ask if everything was done. She didn’t even look up at me. Just waved me off.
If I didn’t live so close I’d never ever go here.

Dr Lee found a cavity during a routine cleaning and was able to fix it during the same appointment. These guys do a great job. Thx Dr Lee!

This place rocks! Dr. Michael has been my dentist for years and he’s second to none when it comes to being a Dental Genius! The entire staff is super nice, and who can’t help to love the classic Jang & Associates commercials!

I went in under a dental plan with work.
Came here on a weekday. I had a lady dentist and an inexperienced dental assistant. They would hardly touch my teeth. The cleaning was five or so minutes and the polishing maybe three minutes. My teeth DID NOT feel clean.
They made it awkward when my insurance wouldn’t go through. Nobody could find my insurance in the system. They told me I could clean my teeth out of pocket today and schedule an x-​ray the next time once my insurance was figured out. Somehow they found it right about when I was going to leave. That process took longer than the appointment itself.
I have a feeling I should be paying out of pocket for a better dentist, proper cleanings and maintenance of your teeth are totally worth it… instead of having Jang’s office shake you for cash and then hardly do the job that they were paid up front to do.

I am very satisfied with this place.

All the assistants are very friendly and professional. They are fully aware of what’s going on and they don’t seem confused whenever I come here.
In terms of cleaning and getting my teeth fixed, they are prompt and quick. I am actually amazed by how fast they are and not only are they fast, they do a good job. I have been to other dentists in the past that did a horrible job in cleaning my teeth.
This place is a little small and I sometimes walk by it, missing the location. So just keep an eye out for this tiny place.

Wow-​what a great place to come for dental work. I’ve been a patient here for more than 15 years and have never had a complaint, ever.
Dr’s Lem and Boh have both attended to my dental needs, even in the midst of the Holidays and my crazy work schedule and last minute problems.
Dr. Jang himself is quite the professional and an excellent dentist.
Reasonable prices, excellent work.
This from a dental wimp who avoided dentists for a couple of decades until the pain became too much to bear and I made my first appointment oh so reluctantly… and since then I’ve lost most of my wimpiness thanks to the excellent dentistry practiced here.

My family and I been seeing Dr. Jang and his associates for about a year now. Every appointment with any of us has been a good one. I’m not a big fan of going to see the dentist but they make it comfortable for me to be there. My 7 year old is one of the patients of Dr. Michael. He is very good with children. Everytime I sit in to watch my daughter during her appointments, he keeps her entertained (and distracted) by constantly talking to her. My dentist is Dr. Boh. She is very good as well. I do not have any complaints about her.
From the staff at the desk to the dental assistants to the dentists themselves… everyone is very helpful, friendly and professional.

I’ve only been here for your typical teeth cleaning. They do a really good job with the cleaning and always make sure that they don’t hurt the inside of my mouth. For example I had a cut on my tongue and they were very careful not to poke it. As far as cleaning, it wasn’t my dentist who actually did it, but the assistant. She did a great job. Even though there were moments where it hurt I knew it was only because she was cleaning deep inside my gums. And after all the cleaning, they show you the proper way to floss. Very friendly workers and I always feel welcomed here.

I went to Jang because I had a hot tooth that was excrutiating and they promised immediate care. Not the case. I was referred to a root canal specialist who couldn’t see me to the next day. They wouldn’t perscribe pain killers or antibiotic because it would interfere with subsuquent treatment. So i was on my own for 24 hours with a pounding toothache. The emergency appoint was covered by my medical insurance but they required payment anyway since I was a new patient. They billed blue cross and were paid but wouldn’t refund telling me they wouldcredit future visits. Needless to say I never went back. And never got my money either. Dr Ralph Hoffman is just down the street and far far better. Avoid this place

I have been going to Jang & Associates for 5 years now, and I have always had a pleasant experience. Appointment times are available 7 days a week, and late in the day so you can go after work. I have had a couple fillings done with them over the years, and haven’t had any problems.
Dr. Jang was even nice enough to donate several cases of toothbrushes and toothpaste for my medical mission trip to Ghana! Thanks Dr. Jang!

I would not go here. They offer some nice specials and I was lured here with that. When I got there they seemed really nice. I waited for a while even though I had an appointment. When I got to the chair they cleaned my teeth and the lady seemed really fake. I realized this when she was trying to get to know me then offered me another service but I declined then she seemed very short with me because I didn’t want to buy the extra services. That was hella of shady.
The place is located in the quiet sunset neighborhood and convenient for me but I will look for a more professional and betters service place. The special was like 30 bucks and a great deal but I guess you get what you pay for. I won’t make that mistake twice.

Dr. Jang rook the time to look at my xrays and talk about his crown tail Betta when I was checking out after an appointment with one of his associates. Familiar with the commercials from when I was a kid, dr Jang has capitalized on that trust. I know I am in good care in his offices and dr jang really understands his SF No dental insurance clientelle. Up front and affordable. 5 stars of the highest caliber.

I had being going to Jang & Associates for the past 6 years. They have a friendly staff, cleanings are good and great that they work weekends.
Unfortunately, on my last visit they could not seem to fix my chipped tooth. I had to return a few times because it fell off. It was never done to my satisfaction.
I finally decided to see another dentist to get it fixed properly and found out that many of my old silver fillings were cracking my teeth. This is not something that just happened in the past 12 months and Jang and Associates never mentioned that they should be replaced or that there were fractures in my teeth. Now I need a very expensive Crown which could have been avoided. As nice as they are, I would not recommend them.
