I came to Johna out of a whim to change some things in my life. I had heard of EFT but never worked seriously with a professional before. It wasn’t until recently that I was ready to take some chances and dedicate some time to positively impact my life. Boy was I in for a huge surprise. My life has changed profoundly after working with Johna for such a short period of time. Johna changes your core beliefs that may be self limiting or destructive and supports you to replace them. Johna is intuitive and has helpful insight within each session. She truly has a gift for what she does and you KNOW things are changing when you work with her.
I underestimated the benefits of EFT and highly recommend everyone to give it a try. You don’t have to be going through a crisis to utilize Johna, she brings a positive change to further support you to reach your goals and desires.

Johna is quite a talented and astute practitioner of EFT. What I’d say are her strengths, that might distinguish her from any other practitioners (having said that, I really have been to very few… so…) would be: 1) very very approachable and safe 2) a spiritual side to the session 3) very experienced, you can tell, and 4) you don’t have to wait for a month to get an appt. Overall, I’d highly recommend her. EFT is such a powerful and effective technique, and with a professional such as Johna, you really get quite a lot for your time and money!!!

I participated in Johna’s 2014 – 2015 Soltice workshop. It was nothing short of amazing. I went in with an unclear intention, and some vague notions about what changes I wanted to see in my life.
A few days into the course, circumstance threw something big and life changing my way, as it will. I am quite sure that I may still be reeling from these events had I not been tapping daily, and had I not had the support of the Soltice group.
The group was made up of about 8 women, most of whom I didn’t know at first. We posted daily to one another in Facebook, and got together about once a week to tap via Google Hangouts. I saw many of us start similarly: we didn’t know how to articulate the changes we wanted to see, or when we did, we were overwhelmed by the difficulties in the way of making changes. It was hugely cathartic seeing these women – who I got to know as beautiful, strong, creative, lovely people – give themselves loads of negative self-​talk, and then to realize that I was doing the same.
Throughout the workshop Johna encouraged us to return to our original intention. It’s really unbelievable how much you can learn about yourself by showing up for yourself and exploring every day, especially with the expert support of Johna. She’s a natural leader, and her insights are spot on. I realized things about myself that are now hugely important to my relationships and my day-​to-​day life and my future growth.
By the end of the course I had dug up so much to work on, that I had to go back and remind myself what I sought in the first place. I successfully got off anti-​depressants that I had been on for years. Plus, I came out with a new tool – tapping – that I can use just about anywhere and anytime to get myself out of a funk, learn about myself, come up with creative solutions for my life, and proactively design the life I’d like to live. Powerful stuff!!!

I came to Johna never having worked 1-​on-​1 with an EFT practitioner before. I didn’t really know what to expect but there was something calling me to EFT and Johna came highly recommended.
When I booked my appointment with Johna, I was at a place in my life where I knew there was something holding me back but I wasn’t sure what it was. I could feel myself a bit stuck and emotionally blocked.

Johna is amazing! After years of working with traditional therapists I had almost given up hope that working with a professional could really help or benefit me. The way my brain works, I usually start a session with a specific, sometimes trivial episode that upset me for unclear reasons, and we quickly parse through to the deeper issues at hand. I have been seeing Johna Goldenflame for about a year and a half now and I am so happy with her. She has the amazing ability to perceive patterns that are no longer serving you and will shed light on them gently and effectively. She speaks in an accessible manner and has a beautiful ability to create humor and light heartedness in the midst of deep transformation. Her sweetness is matched by her realness — she is incredibly open and facilitates a safe space for anything to come through.
One of the most impactful sessions with Johna was a couples session with my partner — she had us laughing, crying, and facilitated an incredible learning experience in which we were able to see our patterns that were rooted deep within and, incredibly, exactly mirrored each other’s. She transformed our experience by allowing us to see that what we originally perceived as a problem, was in actuality a gift for us to continue our growth as human beings together.
In my individual sessions, I have gained clarity in my own values and separated them from the people around me, let go of my body issues put on me by a judgmental society, increased my communication skills, and so much more! Johna held space for me as I rooted deep down to discover what was making me so unhappy when I first started seeing her — and I found the courage to leave a career that was no longer serving me! My relationship is better than ever — my partner and I are able to communicate and now have tools to help us in times of need. And probably the most miraculous? I spent the last weekend in my bikini on a boat in front of people other than my friends. This probably hasn’t happened since 3^rd grade.
Bottom line: If you want to finally let go of beliefs about yourself and others that make you feel shame, doubt, guilt, or anger — check out johna. She’s amazing and has not only helped me transform my life but has given me the tools to continue to do the work on my own. SO GOOD!!!

In addition to the review of group sessions, I wanted to update because I’ve been doing private sessions and those deserve a rating of their own. In just three private sessions, Johna’s intuitive facilitation of self — exploration and healing has blown me away. Going deeper with her in private has really helped me sort out a tangle of old underlying beliefs and patterns that I was somewhat aware of but didn’t know what to do with before. Her ability to witness, hold space, and gently nudge me through the process of acceptance and transcendence stays with me long past our time together. She meets me where I’m at while also giving an inspiring «bigger picture» perspective, with her own contributions of honesty, nonjudgment and reminders of the importance of patience and gentleness in dealing with ourselves. I realize spending money on something so abstract as therapy may feel like an obstacle to some, but I feel my investments have paid back many times over and will continue to, thanks to Johna’s encouragement that her clients take the practice of EFT out of her lovely sanctuary and into their day-​to-​day lives.

I adore Johna! I found her through Unilocal and I am beyond grateful that I did. I have been working with her consistently for a couple of months now, and I feel like I am truly, finally getting to the roots of some of the core issues that have caused immense suffering in my life, and healing them. It hasn’t been an overnight cure for me, but I am learning that true healing takes work and dedication, and I am trusting the process. I feel that finally, with Johna’s compassionate, intuitive, and extremely skillful guidance, I am untangling the knots of belief systems created through traumatic experiences in my life that I have been trying to access and heal for YEARS. The sessions in themselves are incredible, and I am also noticing that outside the sessions I feel happier, more balanced and open-​hearted, and less bogged down by depression, self-​doubt, and self-​criticism, which have been major issues for me.
A little about my journey with EFT~ I stumbled upon EFT quite a few years ago, and I felt excited about it’s seeming miraculous ability to help people heal quickly from their past painful experiences and present negative beliefs and habits. I used it occasionally on myself and found it to be moderately effective in certain circumstances… but I was pretty unsatisfied with my results. Why were so many people seeming to have miraculous healing with this stuff, but not me? Why couldn’t I seem to get to my core issues with it? Well I read up on the EFT literature that’s out there, and saw that while some people do have incredible results in a very short period of time, it’s also not uncommon at all that it takes more time for folks, and that doing EFT with someone else rather than just by yourself can be extremely helpful. And so this is what inspired me to look on Unilocal for an EFT practitioner. After reading Johna’s glowing reviews, and checking out her website and reading up a little on her own journey, I knew she was who I wanted to work with. She has been working with EFT for a long time, and most importantly, she has worked though some very deep healing in herself, which I think is essential in a healer. I mean, how can I trust anyone to guide me through my own gunk, when they haven’t been there themselves? Well, this lady has BEEN THERE. And she brought herself through to the other side and is now profoundly skilled at helping others get there.
I am amazed EVERY TIME I work with her at how incredibly deep we go. I’m amazed also at how quickly I was able to really trust her, and how deeply I am able to journey into myself in her presence. What also blows me away is how intuitive she is in knowing exactly how to guide me. I feel that she resides in such a space of total non-​judgement and compassion, that the healing almost happens spontaneously. In that space of love, it just unravels. Every session is a journey, and I never know where it will go… and yet at the end of each session I know that we went exactly where I needed to go. Sometimes I feel a little anxious before a session, because I am thinking it will be uncomfortable and scary to face the demons of my past. But somehow, with Johna, it is neither of the two. I feel safe in her presence, and able to access and hold those demons with love and compassion, until they melt away into a sense of openness and peace. It’s really quite mind-​blowing. Every time we end a session I feel grateful that I listened to the voice inside that said, yes… her…call Johna!
My advice to anyone interested in EFT is that it works!!! And it might take some time and dedication to dig in there and really work through your issues with it but IT IS SO WORTH IT. And it’s ok that it’s a process, because the journey is a beautiful one, and full of self discovery and skill-​building that will serve you for a lifetime, and probably beyond. I encourage you to give yourself the gift of healing and transformation and book a session with Johna. In fact, book a package. It’s worth every penny. Johna is AMAZING!!! I have never wanted to pay for an EFT practitioner because I have been doing tapping on my own for awhile, but it has been worth every penny! She has helped me to see things that I couldn’t see myself and by tapping with her I have noticed that tapping my own has become much easier. Being in the safe space that she creates I am able to tap on the «big» issues and to let go more easily because I have someone to guide me instead of getting lost in the story or the drama. She is so supportive and she has such a positive attitude that I always end up laughing and I’m able to get a different perspective on whatever I am tapping on. Tapping with her has been life-​changing and I will continue working with her. I also recently did my first workshop and group tapping with her and it was also really amazing and it felt powerful because we were all working on the same thing as a group. I am so grateful that I found her!

My experience working with Johna has been life-​changing; in only a short time we’ve gone deeper into my psyche than I’ve ever gone with anyone else. I can testify that through this work (and it IS work!) I’m transforming into a person I’ve always wanted to be: I’m more open, more loving, I take better care of myself and those around me, I own my emotions and I am better equipped to deal with the occasional «freak outs» that still come up. In terms of more tangible results; my relationship with my partner is stronger than ever (something we’ve focused on during multiple sessions). I’m also taking advantage of opportunities to make more money after having tapped on prosperity. My life is changing in amazing ways!
In December of 2013 I attended my first EFT workshop led by Johna, and immediately I knew this was something that was going to work for me. First, I loved that the power was (literally) in my own hands; although Johna guided the group through the tapping script, each of us was practicing on ourselves. This felt so empowering! I accepted the «20 Day Challenge» where we tapped at home for 20 minutes a day for 20 days. Although I skipped a few, what I loved the most was knowing that each day I would take time from my busy schedule to love and honor myself. I noticed right away that I was better able to cope with any issues that came up; relationship problems, money concerns, low self-​esteem– I was able to tap on my emotions and feel so much better in the end.
In March, I made an appointment for a private session with Johna. This was the most powerful EFT experience, and left me wanting more! I came to her feeling broken; my relationship was opening up and I was terrified of what the future might hold. What I learned through our session was that all of my fears are rooted in specific childhood experiences, things I had never acknowledged or worked through as an adult. Tears were briefly shed as we dug deeper into my fears of abandonment and loss, but by the end Johna had brought me back to a place of acceptance, love, and hope. In fact, I left feeling EXCITED about the future, rather than fearful of change.
My second private session was equally powerful; each time we were able to pinpoint specific thought patterns that I had developed during my life that were no longer serving me. I was able to work through some deep-​seated fears that had been holding me back for years! Since then, I’ve also attended three group sessions that help me to maintain my emotional and spiritual growth in a group setting. Laying my emotions bare for others to see has been an incredibly humbling and uplifting experience.
During each of these sessions, Johna helped to put me at ease with her calm and loving demeanor. I have never worried about sharing those deep, dark, embarrassing secrets with her because she’s not judgmental and she takes confidentiality seriously. I feel completely comfortable in her presence. Even if you’re a nervous, shy, or introverted person, know that Johna will lead you through the session in a way that feels supportive. She’ll meet you wherever you are in your own journey of healing and self-​discovery.
Now, having written this, I’m excited to book with her again!

Update: Johna is an excellent life coach and EFT practitioner. I did group sessions with her on and off for about a year until I finally took the plunge to do one-​on-​one sessions. I was amazed at the ground we covered and the depth of our sessions right away. I made significant progress in only a handful of sessions with her. She was able to guide me to and through the underlying emotions about childhood experiences that were keeping me feeling stuck and causing unwanted behaviors, struggles, and consequences in my life today.
Since working with Johna, I find it much easier to live my life in alignment, make more positive choices for myself (i.e. less self-​sabotage), overcome lifelong struggles, and I feel a little more balanced and normal than I used to (and I mean «normal» in the sense of the normal version of myself, not that I feel average or the same as all the «normal» people out there). I feel more able to step into my potential and stop struggling with the same old patterns that have had me doing circles for close to a decade.
I highly recommend EFT and Johna as a practitioner for dealing with any aspect of life that you are struggling with, even if you are not sure what is or why exactly you are struggling. She will help you get to the root of it and clear old baggage that you didn’t even realize you had! I’m extremely grateful for her contribution to my journey of healing and actualization.

Johna is amazing! Could not give her enough stars. I kept hearing about EFT, so I decided to try it even though I don’t see myself as traumatized or depressed.
We ended up tapping on so many things– money, success, love, happiness, my future… I ended up releasing so many small hang ups I was holding onto from old friendships and relationships. Afterwards I felt to empowered, focused, and incredibly optimistic.
One of the things we tapped on was my desire to branch more into my spiritual/​mystical side as I feel like I suppress it in my daily life, and the next week I signed up for a psychic mediumship class and LOVED it. I’m opening up a new side of myself– it’s really exciting.

I attended a workshop by Johna as a Christmas gift to myself and it has proven to be one of the best decisions I’ve made. I have battled with depression and anxiety for quite some time now and after attending her workshop, I felt as if a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders and I was equipped with the tools I needed work on my issues on my own. EFT truly is a profound healing technique.

I feel compelled to start this review with one simple word that summarizes my experiences with Johna’s EFT sessions: Wow!
Okay now that that is out of the way let me explain and help others understand with my personal testimonial. First off, I want to honor the amount of time Johna has been involved with EFT versus the amount of time it has been around in general. Seeing that it’s only been around for thirty years, and Johna has ten years of personal experience, that makes her one of the most experienced practitioners out there! Yay for that. I also must add that from my sessions, I’m convinced that in another thirty years, this will be the most common practice for healing and therapy.
Now, without being too lengthy, let me try to break it down for y’all.
I’ve seen Johna for various issues. All of equal importance and for the purpose of healing. First, I saw her to relearn the absolute love and admiration I have for my partner of three years. We had recently moved across the country with two cats and began living together for the first time ever, in San Francisco: the most stressful of all places to move to. So, as you can imagine, as the stress set in it was taking a toll on the way I show my love for my partner. Together, Johna and I worked this out with only ONE session! That’s the beauty of EFT. The second time we worked on addictions. I HAD a few of these, so we did a generalized session with knowledge of «going deeper» on a few of the topics that were brought up. I feel comfortable working with Johna because you can move at your own pace. My life has improved greatly since starting EFT, and definitely because Johna is who I work with.
She is wonderful during our sessions. She makes you feel 100% comfortable, and in control of «the depth» you go in each session. When you first start, she asks you what you want to work on. Next you spend some time talking and putting numbers of importance to your topics. Once the tapping starts, Johna’s expertise truly sets in. She always knows exactly what you say, and exactly what needs to be tapped on further. She had a smile on her face the entire time, and you can tell this is something she is truly loving! Even though you could be digging up the darkest, deepest memories in the smallest most hidden crevices, you still feel GREAT! I am always so energized when the session is happening, and especially when they are over. Therapy, I’ve been to a lot of therapy y’all, and EFT, is the ONLY type that makes me feel energized and wonderful afterwards.
I love going to see Johna. I’m always am telling people about my experience, so naturally I needed to tell the online world as well. You would absolutely be doing yourself a favor by working with her. Trust me, it’s absolutely worth it! Every bit of it!

My experience with Johna was brilliant. She is full of energy, grace, and power. She loves what she does, and you will instantly see this upon meeting her and tapping with her. She’s as real as it gets, and this is so important when working with practitioners of the healing arts. I find it very hard to seek therapy, especially when I need it the most. For me, there are so many insecurities of being judged that arise with having someone else analyze my problems. However, Johna has a very different effect on me. She puts me at great ease just with her presence, and I feel instantly open and able to share. This seems to be the root of Johna’s talent, for I feel that her sessions are truly tapping into the areas of my mind that need attention.
Recently, I was in a really hectic spot. I was overwhelmed with new motherhood for the second time, and facing a twenty hour road trip to attend a wedding and visit new family. I was full of anxiety and beating myself up for not being someone I thought these people would like better. I had an array of post-​partum hormones and emotions that clouded my confidence.
Luckily, Johna paid a visit to Austin during the week before my trip and made sure to be available to me for an EFT session. We talked for a long time before the session and it hardly felt like therapy, but when we began tapping she clearly had listened deeply. I felt very comfortable and heard for the first time in a long, long while. We addressed issues that I normally don’t when just complaining about my problems. Key issues, that felt freeing to confront.
Most importantly, I carried this experience within me and was able to face my journey stronger, and with a clarity that only comes with accepting love.
