Has weak bedside manners. She is not open to hearing patient’s concern. Tried to show off her opinion. I do understand sometimes you may not have time to have fuzzy bedside manners but making decisions without involving patietns and acting bossy is not the way you should work. Did not discuss the condition with me. Sorry– would never come back to see you again.

I’m only giving it 3 stars because of the medical student who did my physical. Other than that it should really be just 2 stars. It took me 6 months to finally book an appointment with Dr. Walsh. I was anticipating a good interactive experience with her BUT that didn’t happen. I waited 15 minutes before I got called to see her. I was told by the nurse that a student will be observing with her. To my surprise, it was the student who pretty much did the thorough interview and physical. She was really sweet and very detailed. After that, she said she will give Dr. Walsh the report and they will be come in together. 15 minutes later… still no Dr. Walsh. I almost left the premise without seeing the doctor because I was so annoyed waiting for more than half an hour. Finally, she was there. She didn’t even introduce herself nor shook my hand. I didn’t feel any connection with her. I don’t think I will come back for another appointment with her.

I like Dr. Walsh. She is a good listener and I never feel rushed. She encourages my questions. Overall, I think UCSF is a first class outfit — I have never waited more than 10 minutes for a doctor, and everyone is very nice.
