Julia is amazing and has helped me a lot to relax, while I was going through a lot of stress and emotional distress. She is very knowledgable, and intuitive. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to heal from the inside out. Great work Julia.

I had a headache for several days in a row when I first saw Julia, and after I saw her for the second time a few days later, my 8-​day headache disappeared. Her creative and caring work was a true pleasure to experience, and I was impressed from start to finish by her expertise and professionalism. I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend her.

I feel like when it comes to massage therapists, either someone has «the gift» or they don’t and Julia??? She has the gift! She is incredibly warm and makes you feel comfortable. She gets to know her clients personally and does an excellent job communicating with you before and after your sessions. Her massages are heavenly. I wish I could go into more detail about them but I usually last 5 minutes before falling asleep. I highly recommend her!

I saw Julia for most of 2013, as I made my way through cancer treatment. I HIGHLY recommend Julia for anyone looking to find some ease and relaxation from the stresses of conventional cancer therapies, such as chemotherapy. Julia has trained in offering massage to oncology patients, and not only is she extremely physically skilled as a massage therapist, but her kind and compassionate demeanor ensure that the entire experience with her heals on many levels.
It is rare to find a massage therapist who understands the complexities of cancer treatments. Julia is very special. She is very easy to talk to and extremely sensitive to her clients’ conditions. Both massages and Jin Shin Jitsu with Julia will undoubtedly be a part of my healing for many years to come.

Julia works out of her beautiful home in a quiet subdued and tranquil neighborhood that is easily accessible by muni and I typically want that «spa» experience BUT her technique, communication style and skill set fit my needs to a T!
Not only do I highly recommend her, I’ve started buying gift cards for my friends!

Julia is amazing! I am an aesthetician who spends a lot of time hunched over clients. With that, I often have a tight neck and shoulders and even tighter traps. Julia is able to get my muscles to relax and really break apart my tension without causing me a lot of pain. She is invaluable and I’m so happy to have found her.

Julia is an incredible professional — caring, competent, highly effective at her work, and just a joy to spend time with. She is easy to talk to, uses a variety of techniques to really get at the issue /​problem involved — and she explains it to you! (Which is great for me because I am perpetually curious.)
She does work out of a home office so if you are someone looking for the «spa experience» — you probably won’t find her a fit. But if you are in need of a great massage, or have a particular problem you really need addressed, Julia is a fabulous resource.

Julia is fantastic! I came up to San Francisco in July on a trip and was experiencing some back pain. I picked Julia for 2 reasons: she was really close to where I was staying and she had a lot of great reviews.
Instantly I felt comfortable with Julia. She asked a lot of questions, answered all of mine and even gave me a ton of tips and tricks I could use at home. I felt better immediately. I was amazed at how quickly she found my issue and resolved it without any additional pain!
My only beef is that I don’t live in San Francisco. I would be seeing her every month!

Julia is a gifted massage therapist who pays great attention to the whole person when you are in her care. She starts with a conversation to better understand your current disposition and ensures your comfort (mood, room temparature, music/​no music selections, etc) before and throughout your entire visit. Her massage techniques are extremely effective and her positive vibe just adds to the overall relaxation of the environment.
Julia is skilled in a variety of styles and we’ve had 2 sessions: a traditional massage and a Jin Shin Jyutsu session. The massage was great and having my first JSJ session with her was AMAZING!!! I’m looking forward to trying other styles when I see her again.

After my session with Julia I felt educated, empowered and simply marvelous! I truly feel she wants the best for her clients and cares deeply about their well being. I highly recommend her services.

I was thinking to have a massage but something told me to go for something new — Jin Shin Jyutsu. I had no idea what to expect. Its like acupuncture without the medicine or needles. It was a series of touches in strategy locations (more similar to acupressure but without touching hard), I began to feel like every sensory was sparked with energy. I felt like it was igniting certain triggers of my body. Afterwards she gave my water and gave me time to relax. It was like I was on 5 hour energy drink — without the drink:). It was like she ignited «awareness» in every part of my body.
Maybe I’ll try the massage next?! Hummm… or another Jin Shin Jyutsu!

I met Julia in a networking event and decided to try out a deep tissue massage from her at her comfortable, warm home. She did a great job with trigger point work and she helped relieve me of tightness that I was experiencing in my right shoulder and forearms. Thanks Julia.

As a Chiropractor who specializes in myofascial therapy, I know the importance of soft tissue function and treatment. Julia invited my to experience her services and I am glad that I did. She takes a history and discusses your needs and throughout the massage communicates her findings and works with you. I never felt tortured by too deep a pressure or unsatisfied with insufficient pressure. This in itself is a fine art and speaks to her abilities.
