At 7-​on-​your-​side I was assigned «Myra» who is elderly, horrible communication skills, rude, arrogant and very ineffective. I wonder if Finney knows she takes incoming calls, as she is a very poor representative of his great show. She insisted on interrupting me during my explanation to tell me what great contacts at Sears she has, and didn’t really care about what I had to say. Amazing! Problem was never resolved through her. And Finney needs to do some employee cleanout.

This is for KGO 7 On Your Side… I purchased a Nordic Track treadmill in March of 2014 in which I had 8 service calls within 1 year for the same problem. The motors. I contacted Nordic Track several times to attempt to get a new machine. All my letters, email and calls were ignored. I contacted KGO 7 On Your Side and within a few days Greg, a Consumer Counselor got in contact with me via email. Within 5 days, I now have Nordic Track offering to replace my treadmill. THANK YOU GREG AND THE 7 ON YOUR SIDE TEAM!

The only reason I watch KGO is because it comes before Good Morning America.
Eric Thomas’ delivery of the news is nothing short of awful. He often flubs his lines (aren’t you reading from a prompter?) and makes awkward comments at the end of each segment. Perhaps he’s just trying to get the last word? Who knows.
To be fair, Thomas is just part of an entirely awkward cast.
The puns consistently fall short. The transitions are always agonizingly slow and painful. The «friendly» chitchat they try to have among each other comes off fake and near comical at times. Not to mention, there’s been numerous times when you’ll hear sideline conversations because someone is still miked. Awkwardddd.
Clearly the ABC-​7 team sees the 5am to 7am time slot as rehearsal for the rest of the day. Save yourself the energy and tune into any other news channel in the Bay Area. Or perhaps tune into to that infomercial where they talk about shaving your arms with a handheld laser. It’ll be a better use of your morning hours, guaranteed.

Having been a decades watcher of Channel 7 KGO news in S.F., I must express my dissatisfaction of two of the new anchors — Katie Marzullo and Ama Daetz. Both have absolutely no personality and warmness, most especiallyKatie Marzullo. It was so disappointing to see Carolyn Johnson leave several months ago. Everyone could relate to her as just a genuine person. I hope I don’t have to change news channels in the near future! P. S. Have always loved Dan Ashley, though!

Try commenting on their news… Ha ha ha. Ugh! Watching news (?) about a woman in Campbell who thought she might’ve made eyes with a possible love match??? I’m so pissed right now. I know I’m not the only person who’d like to see this air time filled with news about the unseen heroes… how in the hell do you expect our children to do better when your choices are so poor?

Saturday Night I’m watching 11 O’clock News on ABC7. Why do you have a «Not Straight Guy» reporting the weather? He was NOT Professional??? It was Very Disturbing to me to watch this as we watch this channel almost Everyday. Why don’t you have someone Professional or have a woman Meteorologist… You have Lost me as a Viewer. I’m Now watching KPIX or KRON 4 from Now On. Please Do Not Make This Mistake Again… he was HORRIBLE.

Please don’t waste your time to contact his associate. I called today. The woman who answered my call doesn’t have ears to listen. and asked me so much unrelated questions when I tried to explain my case. I believe she is an unqualified counselor. After all she told me I don’t have a case. What a crap.

I enjoy watching KGO in the morning for their local news. I think David Louie does a great job on tech issues for KGO.

Wish I could comment, but ABC did not show the US World cup game. I won’t over pay for espn. ABC shows other games but not the USA. Glad I could see the Iraq news on abc and Michelle Wie win on a another, better network. FU disney abc sports. It is all about $$$$$. They did not even stream it for free. Oh but you’ll show the Lichtenstein vs. bum $#%@ Egypt game on abc… Is it not the American broadcasting co? espn is OVERRATED /​OVERPRICED fluff.

Well. This is where I work under the Radio Disney brand, but as far as workplaces go, it’s cool. Not quite Cheers where everyone knows your name, but I dig it. Our floor is deserted. Reminds you of the batcave, minus Alfred. It’s pretty retro, they even have an old smoking room that still reeks of old cigs. Nasty. Building hasn’t seen changes outside of the 80’s.

Spencer Christian deservers FIVE STARS, the anchors get 4 … but NO STAR FOR THIS GUY who whistles when it speaks, Mark Mathews … he is the most annoying voice on TV.
I bet he was let go by his previous station for that very same reason. Please send him to a reputable dentist to have his false teeth re-​aligned.
When he hits the air waves, I (along with many friends who feel as I do) change to another channel for a few minutes.

So sorry KGO decided to drop us from their viewing area. I live north of Sacramento and can no longer get my Bay Area news via channel 7.
Hope you will reconsider us in the future. The 4 stars are because I loved watching KGO NOT because we were dropped from your viewing area!

KGO is the WORST of all the ABC OAO (Owned and Operated) stations. The look and feel is of a station in Fresno. I don’t even live in the Bay area anymore, but in the beautiful, CLEAN, Orange County area where I have the privilege of watching KABC, which might just be the best local TV station in America (top notch anchors, ton’s of blondes, every reporter is live, 2 choppers, great set and graphics — this is what local news is about!) and puts KGO to SHAME. I find it odd that from the two trips I make to San Jose per month I seem to see all kinds of technical glitches on KGO — like microphones not being on or anchors not realizing they are on camera. And can they not afford live shots like KTVU (and all the stations in SoCal). I swear, you’d think they were a little station with no budget by the look of the product.
At KGO they have people like the rug wearing Dan Ashley who came from a small market and somehow has stayed at KGO (I bet he is cheap) for way too long. Then there is the old hag Cheryl Jennings who I’ve NEVER seen report, and who has the thinnest lips of any broad on the tube. Her face is so full of BOTOX nuttin moves — she gives me the creeps. And the weather gal, Sandya Patel looks and sounds like some bollywood cast off. And speaking of Queens, how does Don Sanchez keep HIS job — seriously, has this guy any journalistic chops?
Last but not least is the dopey looking and acting Larry Beil — I know reading that teleprompter must be challenging for him — and the awkwardness of the hand-​offs and chit/​chat. Do any of these people talk off set. And speaking of challenges, there is my fave, Carolyn Tyler. She cracks me up! I love watching her struggle and get words twisted. God forbid they put something with 3 syllables or more on the prompter for her. She comes off as smart as a box of rocks.
If I ever end up moving back to the Bay, my remote will be on KTVU ONLY since they have the only real big-​city, competent news team on the air (and they can’t really compete with KTLA, KABC, KCAL, KCBS in LA).

Got a chance to visit the 7 Live taping for class, and it was SO MUCH FUN! Since we were standing outside the entrance for a while, we ended up getting seated at the ‘voice box’ section, where a few of us got a chance to sit front row. The folks organizing the event were really nice, and the host– Brian Copeland– was extremely personable.
It was great to sit in and watch all the stuff that goes into creating a segment on tv. You can’t deny that it’s so COOL to be on tv… even if it’s just for your 15 seconds of fame.
Plus, ²⁄₃ into the show, they were doing a showcase of this Hawaiian cocoa factory… so guess what we got? Orchid Lei’s and bars of chocolate!

I could not of asked for a better time today being part of today’s 7 Live «Voice Box» audience. Well except for my 2 minutes of fame. (Somehow I’d managed to shadow my face with my own hair and give myself the appearance of having aged a decade or so. Sigh.)
Everyone at Channel 7 was so warm, friendly, and helpful. They were big Unilocal fans and we must’ve heard we were the best audience ever a dozen times (I’m sure they say that to everyone ;-) They made sure we were fully prepared for what would occur and even let us play on the set when the show was done taping!
What a great afternoon reprieve.
