Description

Specialties

I specialize in emotional management and expression, releasing tension and managing anxiety that accumulates in stressful lives. Together we give time to what is happening for you, developing ways of engaging with yourself so you can form ways of living that feel good to you. Holding your struggles with care and respect, we work together to grow ways of relating that work in favor of what you need and want in your life.

I use various forms of Somatic Psychotherapy, relational work, emotional processing and mindfulness to help you deal with what is going on– and in a pace that works for you. I do both brief and long term therapy, and work with individuals, families, and parent-child relationships.

History

Established in 2011.

My practice in psychotherapy began through a SFUSD internship where I worked with families and children ages 5 – 11. I presently work within Grateful Heart Holistic Therapy Center, based in San Francisco and the East Bay. I will be licensed in 2016, after 7 years of internship. I am in advanced level training with the AEDP model of Relational Psychotherapy, training both in the Bay and in New York City for the last 2 years, and have studied the work of Stanley Keleman’s Formative Psychology as well for Somatic Exploration and Growth for the last 4 years.

Business Owner

I am registered with the BBS as Marriage and Family Therapist Intern #72 492. I am supervised with Peter Wright, LMFT #38 747.

Throughout the last 16 years, I have been training in body-oriented therapies. This long-term study included a diverse education in the practice of bodywork, including a CMT license for therapeutic massage; Intensive yoga teacher training with Ana Forrest; a CHT for guided imagery, hypnosis and regressive therapy; long-term stays at the Esalen Institute engaging in Gestalt proces work; and formed a ground from which I went to pursue my masters at the California Institute of Integral Studies in Counseling with an emphasis in Somatic Psychotherapy.

I have had a massage therapy practice for more than 10 years, and have taught yoga at various retreats and centers around California. I continue to pursue practices that allow me live in a deep integrity with myself and others.
