I would give this less than 1 star if I could. She’s not even worth as much as this low rating would imply.
I purchased a print from Kristen on April 11^th, 2012. I didn’t hear from her regarding sending the print until the 17^th of April. She said she was waiting on a few more orders to send them all to print. I said ‘ok’. Then I didn’t hear from her again. I emailed her a month after the last email asking if she was sending the print, if not I needed to initiate a refund request through paypal. She said she was sending it. I again said, ‘ok’. And waited… I unfortunately waited to long to force a refund through paypal. I’ve instead been pursuing a refund on my own. She keeps putting me off and putting me off. I doubt I’ll get a refund from her ever. She has very questionable ethics and crappy, crappy customer service. I don’t recommend her, ever at all for anything. Feel free to email me if you want to see copies of the emails we’ve exchanged. bower. jaime @ gmail. com just remove all the spaces.
Just in case you’re wondering– she’s had 3 months to do the right thing. Send my print or refund my money. She’s done neither. Do not trust this person with your money– and NEVER order her prints online. You should get your print and then think about paying her for it…
Oh and, if you’re checking reviews for Kristen Tyler Photography, I’m sure you’ll notice all her 5 star reviews are from the same month and year. Likely because she asked previous clients to give her a review. I’m sure you’ll also note, there are no other reviews other than mine after that period.

I’ve admired Kristen’s work for YEARS, literally, but never shot with her until recently. I soooooo wish I would have gotten several shoots in with her before she moved to cali, but when she recently came back to denver to visit, i finally got my shoot :). And it was definitely worth the wait. Hopefully I’ll be able to shoot with her many times in the future. It was the best set of pictures I’ve ever gotten. She has a keen creative eye that captures incredible moments that the typical photographer would completely miss. She’s anything but typical in her style and quality. I’d recommend her to anyone, no matter what your needs may be. She will capture that perfect moment in a photographic memory you will cherish forever. Thank you so much, lady! :)

I’ve been following Kristen’s photography for years, and wished she was in California for my engagement & wedding because her photos always come out so amazing!
I FINALLY got the chance to hire her for a session of family photos for my daughters first birthday. My husband and I absolutely adore the way our pictures came out! Neither one of us is a big fan of high priced studios where you’re placed and posed and told exactly what to do, and then have to pay tons of money for a very small amount of prints, which is why we looked forward to meeting Kristen so much! We had our photo session at the beach and have some amazing candid photos, as well as awesome posed photos too. Kristen was totally patient with the fact that we had a toddler running around not being very cooperative with what we were trying to do.
My husband & I are definitely looking forward to working with Kristen again in the future!

I’ve been modeling for YEARS (Does 10 years make me sound old? lol). And I’ve worked with all kinds of photographers, and I can’t even begin to tell you the difference between a professional and an amateur.
I’ve worked with the likes of Ashutosh Gupta (Elle, Cosmo) and also worked with Octavio Arizala (Posters and films sold internationally) and when you work with pros… everything is smooth. They aren’t figeting with the camera a billion times and they aren’t messing with lighting… they are capturing moments, effortlessly and naturally.
When I worked with Kristen Tyler is was so fluid and natural and I almost was wondering if we were taking photos. The end results were phenomenal… We got an EPIC shot. It looks like a victorian starlet photo and I actually have it hanging in my home proudly, next to one by Ash Gupta.
I would work with Kristen again in a heartbeat and I wish I would have gotten the chance before cali stole her. But her work is terrific and she delivers beautiful results!

I had never used a professional photographer before and wasn’t sure what to expect. I’m far from a model but just wanted some nice pictures to share with family and friends.
Kristen made me feel very comfortable and even made it really fun. She was professional and on time, got me the photos when she said she would and the quality was WAY better then I ever imagined. I would recommend her for all types of photography, especially after viewing some of her wedding, engagement and family work.

We used Kristen Tyler Photography for our engagement photos and she can be summed up in one word — AMAZING!
My fiancé is a big goof in front of any camera, and though his sense of humor is a huge part of why I love him, I was a little worried that the shots would come out way too goofy. Kristen knew exactly what to look for during our session and was able to catch not only the funnier moments, but the softer moments in between as well. I was so thrilled with what I saw when I received our images! I will definitely be calling on her for many more special occasions and recommend that you do the same!

I had a pleasure working with Kristen for my first shoot and really enjoyed the experience! she was fun to work with and made me feel comfortable with the process. The photos came out fantastic and very professional. She has a unique vision for creating her art and it shows in every photo!

We hired Kristen to take our daughters one year photos after she was recommended by a friend in Denver. We wanted pictures that would capture our daughters spunk, and also a unique feel for the pictures. After looking at her portfolio, we knew that she had the style that we were looking for. Kristen did a phenomenal job! We loved the pictures so much that we asked her to do it all over again for when our daughter turned 2! I have had the pleasure of styling the hair for some of Kristen’s shoots… I absolutely love working with her! Not only is she professional and a joy to be around, but she is such a talented and passionate photographer/​editor!!! She is amazing at capturing natural light and beautiful images! I first shot with Kristen back in Denver CO. She has alway provided such amazing photos. I have continued to use her through out the last 4 years for several different occasions. The most recent being my engagement photos which turned out amazing!
I am already planning my wedding photos with her as I would not use anyone else.
She is absolutely fabulous at what she does!

I hired Kristen, on the recommendation of a friend, to shoot my engagement to my girlfriend. I had reviewed her portfolio and her wedding/​couples shots were perfect. They were personal and most of them were shot outside w/​great colors.
We spoke over the phone multiple times so we could plan out the photo-​shoot, it was a bit tricky since i wanted to capture the actual act of the proposal. Kristen was not only game to do it, but helped w/​the overall planning and set up. Which was great because i was pretty stressed and anxious.
The pictures came out amazing, they were shot up at The Stanley Hotel in Colorado. And she said ‘yes’ in case you were wondering :)
I couldn’t be happier with the outcome of the shoot and proposal. I have Kristen to thank for capturing memories i’ll now be able to share with generations to come. She and her skills come highly recommended!
