Lashfully

So disappointed by selecting to try Lashfully. I was hoping for eyelashes that would last more than an hour. After I read Unilocal reviews I was convinced that this was the best place in town for my needs. While the eyelashes the artist created for me were beautiful, once I stepped out of the salon, I noticed a few were on my cheeks.
I assumed this was normal given the procedure involves adding glue to my own lashes, along w/​synthetic lashes on top, losing a few of my own seems reasonable. However, later that night I noticed more had fallen off of my lefthand eye. The right was fine. I immediately called and left a message for someone to call me back to explain the situation. No one returned the call and by the next morning, despite following the post application directions, nearly half were gone. I had to call again and finally reached someone who asked the owner about my situation. The reply was this is normal because my own fall out. Well, as mentioned this was above and beyond the norm having lost half an application on left eye. This back and forth went on a couple of times. 36 hours after the application all but 3 lashes were still on the left eye!!!
Long story short the owner said I would only receive a touch up /​another appt to reapply lashes, unless I paid the $ 75.00 fee! I had already paid $ 168.00 w/​a 20% tip! What was so disappointing to me was the owner’s lack of concern for my situation. She was not willing to offer a comped service. Nor was she willing to even call me to speak w/​me directly. She had her manager call to share the news there was nothing they could do to help me. Bad experience! Really poor customer service! She lost a customer for good — which is unfortunate b/​c not only haD I intended to use their annual, monthly lashes service, but, also considered waxing. After I spoke with the manager once again, I told her I wasn’t going to pay an additional fee for the service. Word of mouth and exceptional customer service is critical to success when you own a small business. Seems Lashfully doesn’t understand this. Nor do they care. As such fellow readers, beware if you are considering their services.

I’ve been getting my eyelashes done every month for the past three years, and after recently moving knew I needed to find a new place for my addiction.
I went in and asked if I could get a similar look to what I had (I currently had a set that needed touching up) and the technician assured me they had the same ones) — almost two hours later (side note, the bed that you lay on is SUPER comfortable, like lying on a cloud) I was done, at which point the technician explained that the ones I’d had previously were thicker and that they didn’t actually carry that size thickness.
The lashes do look really great, but for the price (with a 20% tip it was $ 210) I would have appreciated a heads up about the difference before she started so that I could have picked out a different set. It’s not that I don’t like these, but as I’ve been used to a more dramatic look I feel like I look «off» and I feel like this could have been prevented.
I would just say make sure you ask a lot of questions about what you’re looking for so you feel comfortable before starting — it’s a lot of money but they do do a good job with application!

Oh Lashfully, I will never stray from you again! I got my lashes done by Rosa today and she was fantastic. She thoroughly asked me about my preferences and we even looked at pictures before proceeding to the service. The last time I asked for natural-​looking lashes at another Marina salon, I came out looking like Asian Betty Boop. This time, I got exactly what I wanted — me but better! And whereas my last extensions itched and bothered me the whole time, these feel totally natural even just hours after they were applied. Lesson learned — places that offer a bunch of Gilt/​Groupon/​etc deals do it for a reason. I’d rather pay a little more and get exactly what I want than wind up with a sub-​par product/​service.

I had made an appointment for a lash treatment. They just called TODAY and said they were going to cancel my 5pm appointment. This appointment is for a very important wedding. This is why people make appointments. This is not how you operate a business. I am a very angry customer and will never recommend your service to anyone.

I’ve started using this place two and a half years ago and I loved it, service was great, lash extensions stayed for more then three weeks, which is really great result for me.
Then about year and a half ago everything changed: those girls whom I was working with left one after another and the new ones did terrible job! Sets were so small, the work on the extensions took more time then always and the process itself was painful. I stopped doing lashes also because I got pregnant. After the birth I came back hoping that the quality came back to that place, but apparently it went away together with Liv!
First lash extensions set after such a long time was pore, and the process was painful! But I’m stubborn in the foolish way! I came back for a touch up and I loved the way another girl was working and the result. So I bought I package of touch ups !!! That was a great mistake!
Next time I was trying to schedule the service this girl already wasn’t working there and there best artist is the one that was hard on me making the whole process really painful!
I decided that I will have to finish the package and will never come back again! But this will never happen! Apparently they marked my package as a false lashes applying not a touch up for lash extensions– I don’t know how it happened because I had never used this service.
Long story short I totally disappointed with Lash Fully service. And as a cherry on top the receptionist is terribly rude, the way she’s talking with client is unexpectable!

I was hoping that after my second time to Lashfully, my opinion would have changed, but unfortunately it hasn’t. After issues with their online booking system not registering my appointment and having to go back twice in one day, they finally finished my half-​set of lashes. They look alright, but are unfortunately uneven on my eyes, and my two eyes look different. The biggest disappointment is that they continually fall out. I don’t get them wet, I don’t rub my eyes, I don’t put make-​up on them, and I am losing lashes constantly. The only comment on them that I’ve gotten so far is when someone pulls a lash off my face and tells me to make a wish. After spending so much time and money on this, it’s not the reaction that I am looking for. They just don’t last at all, so upsetting…

So bummed to have to write this. I’ve been to this location several times and have been really happy with my lashes. They generally last for several weeks if you’re careful, which makes the price tag more palatable.
However, the last time I got my lashes done at Lashfully will be my final visit. I got my usual set and the moment I saw them in the mirror, the looked noticeably uneven. One eye had many more lashes than the other. I spoke up and she tried to fix it but they were still not right. I didn’t want her putting even more lashes on (I like mine very natural looking), so I paid and left. I figured they would even out over the next couple days. Instead of evening out, they all fell off. By the time day 5 came around, I counted 4 total lashes still in tact. Surprisingly, I was actually relieved because as they were falling off they were all over my face. Not a good look.
I don’t know what changed with their lashes, but it’s not worth the price to find out. I’m finding a different place.

This used to be a great spot, not anymore. The last 3 appointments I’ve had didn’t happen– either because the owners weren’t there to open the store, my technician quit 10 minutes before my appointment or my technician was sick.
Even if the lashes are good, the appointments aren’t reliable.

Been going to Alexa for years and she is AMAZING!!! I’ve gone to several estheticians since I’ve first starting going and none have been as good as Alexa! I’ve also had some issues with the glue and the lashes not lasting very long and she’s always been extremely patient! Highly, highly recommend Alexa!

TL: DR — Make sure you get Alexa! You won’t be disappointed. 1.5+ years as an extremely pleased client.
So I have been going here over 1.5+ years and I always try and get Alexa as my stylist. I have been getting lash extensions for years now, and there are several reasons I ask for a skilled stylist — Alexa being that person. Every once in a while I have to schedule something last minute, and I’m always so mad when I don’t get Alexa. My fault obviously — but here are some huge reasons you will want to schedule your next appointment with her:
1. I have a ton of lashes and attention to detail is important. Alexa treats my lashes extremely well and she keeps them naturally healthy and full. My lashes never stick together after my appointments, which is a huge deal. Sure, I have super long, thick bottom lashes, so every once in a blue moon we have to gently pull a top and bottom lash apart — but it’s not painful in any regard.
2. I get extremely long lashes, and it takes skill to know how to apply them. Alexa always does an excellent job and my lashes never irritate me. Long lashes are a bit tricky and for those who have gotten lashes before, you know exactly what I mean. People who pile them on or don’t remove outgrown lashes have no clue what they are doing — hence why I love Alexa. She does a great job cleaning up before applying.
3. I love appointments where my lashes feel full again and I am getting my money’s worth. Alexa is careful and quick = a HUGE plus. I always leave feeling that my lashes are super full. Some other stylists I have had in the past at other places are careful, but so slow that they never put on nearly enough and my lashes look no different than before my appointment.
If you want someone whom is extremely talented and great at lash extensions — ask for Alexa. I get non-​stop compliments every single day (a ton from guys) about my eyelashes and I’m sure Alexa will do the same type of magic for you too.

I’ve had my eyelashes done all over the country — New York to Chicago to LA … So when I moved to SF two years ago it was important that I find the best lash spot. I hate to admit this but honestly my lashes make me feel beautiful — and when they don’t work, they really don’t work. Alexa from Lashfully has been a godsend — she is so fast and so accurate, I have complete trust that when I open my eyes at the end I will have gorgeous lashes to my specifications every time. The place itself is clean and the beds are comfy with blankets on them. I usually meditate or listen to a podcast while she works and in 45 minutes I have my beloved lashes perfect. I can’t recommend them enough.

Was willing to give this place a try despite all the negative reviews, because their website said they had availability on a Sunday. Booked and confirmed a 4pm 1.5 hour appointment online. Received a call the afternoon before saying they messed up scheduling and could do 3pm 45 mins instead. Rearranged my schedule to accommodate. Got there and I wasn’t on the schedule. So wasted my time. What a mess these guys are.

My lash extensions look amazing, absolutely amazing! Beautiful store front and amazing service. Got my lashes done from a few artists here and they’re all wonderful. Not one complaint, process was painless, I don’t need mascara, and I feel absolutely beautiful with my lashes! It doesn’t get better than Lashfully :)

Love love love this place!!. This was my first experience getting lash extensions and I wouldn’t change it for anything. It was the best and easiest thing ever. It’s a cute little chic Salon. Everyone was so helpful and good at making sure I was comfortable and got exactly what I wanted.
I highly recommend calling and making an appointment today!

Went to the *owner at Defyned and got my eyelashes replaced for a reasonable amount In Time for my wedding.
She did a great job considering she had to remove almost half of what My stylist did at Lashfully because my eyes were tearing and stinging so bad.
Lashfully never reached out and tried to make it right with me despite my immediate call to them once going home unhappy or posting the review so I became a client at Defyned however I wish them well.

Went to Defyned and got my eyelashes replaced for a reasonable amount 120 $ considering they had to remove almost half of what My stylist did at Lashfully because my eyes were tearing and stinging so bad (see past review). Not only did I get the look I intended, application: it wasn’t painful at all and my lash stylish was very friendly to me during my apt. Everything my previous appointment was not. I will definitely go back and part ways with Lashfully indefinitely. Tear.

I never like to write a bad review, but I need to change my rating from 5 to 1 star.
Sadly, over the last year, things have deteriorated at Lashfully. Not only has the customer service become rude, but the quality is awful, as many of the previous estheticians have left.
I have had my lashes done on and off for years at Lashfully (and previously with one of the founders, Liv). In October, I went in for what is absolutely the last time. The process for a new set of lashes was so painful that I couldn’t wait for it to be over. The person took less than an hour for what should have been a 90 minute session. When checking out, I asked if I got the right service (purely based on the time, I wasn’t sure if maybe they did a fill instead and wanted to make sure I was paying the right amount). The receptionist said «She is just fast» and then quickly got very snotty with me and said in a condescending tone «Is there a problem?» and before I could answer, «Do you like your lashes?». I paid and declined to make a follow up appointment. When I got home, I realized the lashes were stuck in clumps to my actual eye lids.
Ironically, I had been told earlier this year by the staff that Liv had «retired». I have come to find out this is simply untrue, but she DID leave the business (which she started) about a year ago which says a lot.
Bottom line: There are plenty of lash places in the city. Go somewhere else.

The five star rating is For Monique F. who has been doing an amazing job on doing my lashes for the past two years. I will follow this women wherever she goes, as she is the best in the business. Every time Im in town Im sure to book an appointment with her. Finding a lash artist in LA has been difficult as no one does work quite like she does.

Now that I tried out few other places I realize how crappy this place is. Yes, it’s cheaper than most other places, but this is the only place that my eyes tear when I’m getting the service. The ambiance may be better, but I can do without if they can do a better job.

This review is way overdo! Alexa is amazing! She did my lashes for my wedding one year ago, and I finallyyy went back today to get another new set. It’s just the little pick me up I was hoping for! Last year when I got them they lasted for so long… even through my honeymoon and swimming through the ocean all day every day! I have had the experience at other places that my natural lashes fell out as the extensions came out, but not with Alexa. You can tell she takes pride in her work and is very meticulous with the application. She throughly went over exactly the look I was going for (feathery and natural) and she nails it every time. Also a bonus… she is fast and efficient. No one has time for a 2hour application! Love Alexa and lashfully!

Obviously I know nothing about lashes, but damn does my girl look amazing every time she comes back from this place. I have to thank Lashfully for keeping my eyes glued on her.

I want to give 5 STARS for Hana. She was fabulous. So much so that I purposely made my next appointment on a day that she was there. Or, so I thought. When I showed up I was taken back by another woman and when I asked where Hana was, I was told «oh she doesn’t work here anymore». That’s it? The woman at the front desk was clueless.
The woman who did my extensions the 2^nd time was fine — but nothing compared to Hanas work. And I’ve noticed many more falling out sooner than last time and the ones that stayed on are shooting in different directions…
Does anyone know where Hana went? I will follow her anywhere!

I’ve been going to Lashfully for a year and love my lashes. However the management here is really lacking so I’ve decided to go elsewhere. They regularly cancel and reschedule appointments, and like most people I’m busy and find this really inconvenient and unprofessional. I had an appointment today and received a message that they decided to close the salon for Bay to Breakers. The salon is no where near the Bay to Breakers route. Are they closing so the whole staff can attend? Great, but plan ahead and don’t book appointments for that day only to cancel them.

If you go here don’t buy a package. I bought 4 make up applications at their LA location and when they sold to the new owner my credit is now gone! I called this location in San Francisco per the new owner’s instructions and apparently Lashfully did not keep any records of the LA clients.
I feel SCAMMED and the girl that answered my call at the San Fran location was very UNPROFESSIONAL, she should take a class in customer service. Whatever you do don’t pre pay for any service here!

I am going on holiday to Tulum so I wanted to get my eyelashes done and not have to worry about mascara madness on the beach and in the sun. I have gotten my eyelashes done here twice before and loved it! I have gotten them done by Alexa in the past and she has done an amazing job. This past time I got them done by Hana and it was absolute perfection!
I came in and told her that I wanted it full and curled but natural looking set. I said I wanted it to look like I had two/​three coats of mascara on but nothing too over the top and I also did not want a cat eye. Hana nailed it. I looked it the mirror and was sooo happy! They were full and curled and natural. It was exactly what I wanted. I can’t wait to go back. Officially addicted!

If I could give this place a ZERO, i would. the company completely went to shit.
After going here, I noticed that the extensions were glued on in globs. I called Lashfully to withdraw being a member of their lash extension membership and to also complain about my lashes falling out. liv spoke to me and told me she would call me back.
i’m still waiting for that call back. 2 months later.
i wrote her the following email:
«we talked earlier today but I was told you left the shop already. I wanted to send you a picture of the lashes Nina applied on me 2 weeks ago. as you can see from the picture, it’s just globs of glue and lashes piled on top of each other.
I was a really happy customer until I saw my lashes are now brittle, weak and basically gone.
please take me off any lists I was on as I won’t be a lashfully client anymore.»
i was once a happy customer, but liv obviously didn’t do very well in entrepreneurship class.

I don’t know what’s happened to this company! When I was seeing Liv in her tiny studio and then even in the first Lashfully salon with room for just three estheticians, my lashes were always perfect — top quality in terms of products, service and care.
A couple of weeks ago, I went in and saw Alexa for a fill, and now my lashes are destroyed. I literally have patches of lashes missing. Apparently, as a lash expert/​esthetician told me when she assessed my lashes a couple weeks after my appointment, Alexa used too much glue and even glued some of my natural lashes together so that when one grew, it pulled the other out. (Perhaps it was because she was sick, as she was wiping her nose and sniffling the whole time, which admittedly scared me a little.) Anyway, I now have to be on a crazy lash rehab program to get my lashes back to normal, and I can tell you I don’t exactly feel my most beautiful right now.
I would have left one star based on that experience, but I had a really great makeup experience with Dezi last Halloween weekend — she was fantastic!
I’m sad about the decline of this company.

Dasha was right on time and did a great job! The space is pristine and elegant and everyone I encountered was extremely welcoming. I was beyond comfortable in my own little fur-​lined throne (at least it felt like a throne to me) and can’t wait to come back!

These semi-​perm lashes look AMAZING. You wake up in the morning and bat your eyelashes at your lover and he’ll be like «you are the MOST beautiful girl in the world» (ok, now go brush your teeth …)
The semi perm lashes are attached to your real ones and if this is your first time, allot about 1.5 to 2 hours for the process. Before you start, make sure to ask the technician to do a test on you first and definitely ask for a different lash glue, if you feel any stinging/​irritation. These lashes last about 2 to 3 weeks (mine was more 2.5 weeks) and they’re high maintenance! You have to blow dry your lashes on low setting (after a shower), you can’t rub your eyes, you have to buy a special make-​up remover (and tightly bound cotton q tips for removing liner), etc. I love wearing eye make-​up but ever since I got my lashes done, I’ve gone more for the natural look and been skipping the liner altogether and guess what? I actually like it more! Also, I haven’t curled my lashes or put on mascara in the last 2 months, which is nice.
It’s hard being a girl … and also expensive. Between the facials, salon visits, etc. I really don’t have extra room in my budget for this. But if you’re going on vacation, celebrating a special event (birthdays, anniversaries, wedding) this is a great way to feel fabulous and look natural too. Ask for Darya and get ready to see a whole new you!
