I am devoted to assisting families and children involved with the legal system in a compassionate, honest, and reasoned manner. My goal is always to minimize the possibility for unnecessary emotional and financial costs.

I represent or assist clients in complex family law disputes, including, but not limited to, issues related to paternity, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, the creation or review of pre-​marital, post-​marital, and parenting agreements, and marital/​domestic partnership dissolution. In addition, I assist clients with child adoptions and those involved in the dependency system.

In order to best meet his or her needs, I assist my clients in three different capacities — mediator, consulting attorney, or as attorney of record.

Business Owner

I decided to start my own practice in September 2005 after spending what was supposed to be a vacation in New Orleans. It was the weekend Hurricane Katrina hit the gulf.

Since receiving my J.D. in 2002, I have held positions at the law firms of Hersh FamilyLaw and Leland, Parachini. I have had seven years of extraordinary training and mentoring.

Prior to law school, I was an investigator for Child Protective Services and counseled children in a variety of settings from pre-​school to juvenile detention facilities. I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology, where I focused on child development and abuse.

All of these experiences combined with my own involvement in the child welfare system led me to create my own firm where I intend to make the most of my skills, background, and knowledge of the law to assist families and children in need. I hope to not only provide superior legal representation, but also a responsive, personable, humane environment for my clients.
