My case was a little complicate because I received an RFE. However, Arit has a lot of experience and solved my case. Also he understood that I was very concerned in loosing the case, so he always try to be very patient and answer all my questions. That gave me a lot of security during the path. Arit is good. We are all now citizens.
My case was a bit easy & cookie cutter maybe so we didnt interact much
But the case intake process & the fees negotiation were really pleasant.
Had some clerical weirdness with PDF’s because they use Microsoft Windows & everything with Microsoft is buggy
Also sometimes he travels to SoCal, sometimes NorCal, sometimes elsewhere… so if u are comfortable communicating with your lawyer by WhatsApp, email, etc — Arit will be a great partner. But if u need face 2 face time with big studded leather couches & lots of fat books in a bookshelf — Arit’s not for u — his approach is more modern, young, effective & and hacky.

He is as good as it gets. I was very overwhelmed by the whole process and the US government makes it very confusing to apply for your spouses change in status. Arit took all my worries away!
Arit helped me and my husband obtain his green card. From start to finish it took about 3 – 4 months. He was referred to us by a friend from Sri Lanka who also had a positive experience with him and also obtained a green card. Arti and his team were always, and i mean ALWAYS there to answer my silly questions at any time of day (or night). He took care of everything and was very organized. He always had my information handy and NEVER gave my any incorrect info. If he didnt know something he was very quick to answer us back with the information that we needed.
Like everyone else said, he is very accommodating and has a positive attitude. There was no confusion and it went very smoothly. Definitely recommending him to friends and to anyone needing help with immigration.

I’ve known Arit personally for a while and while he’s always been a good friend, I was blown away by his abilities professionally.
BACKSTORY: I have an employee I wanted to bring over from France and being completely new to the process I found out basically the last week of March that I had to get an application in by the 1^st of April to even be considered for the Lottery. I contacted several attorneys prior to contacting Arit all of whom told me I had waited far too long to begin process and they would need a ridiculous sum of money to «attempt» to get it done. I had one tell me that submitting it on time was like «Landing a unicorn on the moon»

He not only laid out the process in PLAIN simple english 10x better than any other person I had talked to, he told me EXACTLY what needed to be done and when it needed to be done by in order to get everything processed. He didn’t say it would be easy and he stressed how on top of it I had to be with documentation, but It was exceedingly clear that Arit knew this inside and out and viewed the time constraint as hurdle to jump rather than an insurmountable problem.
RESULT: From the minute we touched base, Arit was completely on top of sending me everything I needed and responding to emails as early as 3am. The guy doesn’t sleep! After ONE WEEK we had everything we needed to process the application and there is no way I would have been able to get the same result with anyone else.

I was introduced to Arit Butani via a friend to help me with my permanent residency (aka Green Card). This was a complex process for myself as I previously was on an employment visa which was due to expire. I contacted Law Offices of Arit Butani to help me with the processing of my H1B visa in April 2011. I found his services very satisfactory and it was a great experience doing business with him.
Most of us know it can be stressful when you have to gather a mountain of documents if you are applying for a work visa, especially in the US. There’s more information than a single person can process and you don’t quite know whats wrong and whats right and whats expected of you. Arit was very clear and to the point in explaining to me and my employer what was needed of us, and took care of preparing the rest of my application without any hiccups.
He is very thorough in his work and does not leave any stone unturned. He will not give you any false hopes to build your confidence, but will definitely do all that is required legally, and go a step further. I contacted him for a few documents that I needed after my H1B visa was approved, and he met me personally to take care of that, even when it wasn’t a part of the contract that we signed.
