I hired Mr. Scancarelli to help me complete a for-​sale-​by-​owner purchase of a condo in San Francisco. He was a nice guy and clearly familiar with standard SF real estate transactions. I was a little bit disappointed that he didn’t have the most recent version of the purchase contract that he suggested we use, nor did he have an electronic copy. So if we wanted to make a change, we either had to rewrite the whole thing or cross out the old text and initial the new. I think our offer would have looked cleaner if we had been able to type and print it. Also, his hourly fee is on the high side and he is always careful to account and bill for every moment spent responding to an email, «researching», etc. The charges reached $ 2,000 so quickly that I decided to just pay the bill and then finish the transaction myself.

Larry and Jerod are two completely approachable and very likable guys. Both are the most unpretentious lawyers I’ve ever met (shocking I know). In fact, they believe in trying to settle matters if at all possible to minimize fees and costs of expensive litigation. I’m so glad my case didn’t go to trial, I would have completely lost it otherwise (in every way).
Anyway, both men are very knowledgeable in real estate law AND they have very reasonable rates. So if you need some advice give these two a call, they’ll definitely give you the 411 on your case. I was happy I called them!
