I saw a Chinese actress wearing beautiful mother-of-pearl dropping earrings and knew I could find a pair in Chinatown. I found it in silver in two stores, but decided to buy one at LD Jewelry. The store was well organized and very well lit, and most importantly, I enjoyed listening to the owner, Rich Dunn, give me some good tips on how to buy good earrings. He was very courteous and attentive, and I left the store very pleased with my purchase.

This store is a hidden gem in china town. I loved the large selection of jewelry, from pearl, silver, jade to onyx. Also the largest and finest selection of keepsake trinket boxes, don’t miss out if you are a collector. Joanna and Rich have been in business over 20 years, they are very knowledgeable about jewelry, and they listen to their customers. Store is very clean and organized too. Highly recommended!

There’s so much stuff in here, it’s sort of overwhelming. They have everything from jade to silver to onyx. They’ve got it all. The clerk was helpful and attentive. They keep most of the jewelry behind a locked case, but they’re happy to take it out so you can try it on. My mother got a pair of fish earrings, which were cheap and cool looking. This place is right in the heart of Chinatown, so there’s lots of other jewelry shops to choose from, but this one is pretty cool! The prices were fair, and they had written descriptions of the stuff out on the displays so you know what you’re looking at.

Rich Dunn = your go to jeweler in SF. I bought a pretty unique rectangular 925 sterling silver bangle from him today. I’ll post a photo. This place is full of coral, jade, silver jewelry. I’m really happy I walked into this Chinatown jeweler.
