Lee Auto Body & Mechanic

In life, there two things that are hard to find: a good hair stylist and a good honest mechanic/​body shop. And when you find them, dont ever let go!
With that said, I’ve been burned by body shops from previous accidents that I’ve had over the last several years or so. But with Peter, I feel much more at ease. He’s helped me fix my Honda Accord previously and more recently, I had gotten into a car accident last year and took it to a body shop in Vallejo (of all places, nor was it by choice). He had notice all kinds of imperfections and sloppy work they did. His workers took my front bumper off to assess the «work» that was done. They all shook their heads in disbelief that this other body shop let my car leave their shop and took advantage of a bad situation.
He recommended me go through the proper channels by going through the BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair) to seek the $ 7k in payments they had charged my insurance for these «repairs». Peter could have easily charged me to fix for these imperfections but was so honest about them and didnt even charge me for the labor involved to take my bumper and quarter panel off, which he usually charges $ 200 for, to help me submit to the BAR.

I encountered a hit and run early Feb and knowing how sucky insurance is I have a high deductible to deal with. I went through 3 other auto body shops in SF… including one I used to frequent to see if they’d be willing to help me with my heafty deductible. To no avail all other locations wouldn’t budge until my cousin recommended Peter and his dad’s shop.
As soon as I drove my car to the shop they were welcoming and gave me their estimate and tried to work with me to see what would fit my budget. After some deliberation I decided to go with Lee Auto Body & Mechanic. I have no regrets and am quite happy with the service I received.
Peter drove me to the car rental and even stayed until I got my rental car. He checked the rental car too knowing how some rental places can be shady with slabbing damage fees to unknowing customers. My car was fixed within 5 days as promised and to my surprise they cleaned the interior and exterior of my car. I’ve never seen my car this shiny! Peter also helped me check my tire pressure, engine and transmission oil too and other car inspection stuff that I have no idea about. He also gave me a heads up on what didn’t look right with the oil levels, which flagged me to hurry up and get my 90K service done!
I’m very happy with my repairs and the service I received from Peter and his dad! Thanks again!

Been here twice. Once for a busted bumper and tail light, and another for a busted window that someone broke into. Within 24 hours, my tail light was ordered and installed. When I dropped off my car 8am in the morning for my busted window, it was done in two hours. GREAT competitive prices… super friendly and welcoming. Always left with a smile. :)

Peter is the most honest and down-​to-​earth mechanic and body shop guy I know. I’ve had my fair share of car body work in the past years and he has been by far, the most knowledgeable and easiest to work with.
I brought my Integra in twice for 2 different jobs. My first time was when my car was sandwiched in an accident so it needed a new hood and rear bumper. Besides the usual delay with insurance and the claim, I got my car back within a week and they installed the new pieces (with paint) in pristine condition.
More recently, I needed some body work for frame damage to my car in the front and they gave me a very fair (and affordable) price for the job. Originally, they thought it would take like 3 days, but they managed to fix it in less than 2! Imagine my surprise! When I dropped off my car, since he was on his way out for lunch, he even offered (to go out of his way) to drive me and drop me off to where I needed to go. Now, that is full service!
What you’ll find at Lee Auto Body are honest mechanics who just want to service their clients and their neighborhood. You won’t find any shady business here and none of that mechanic swindlers jargon. I would even recommend my car-​illiterate family and friends here because I know they will be taken care of, not taken advantaged of. I definitely look forward to returning and referring everyone I know to Lee Auto Body for body work.

I brought my 2004 Corolla into Lee Auto Body after getting T-​Bone by and old man which couldn’t stop for a stop sign.
Both my driver side doors and side skirt was damage from the accident.
The shop started working on my car the moment after my insurance approve the claim, it took a total of 2 weeks after dropping of the car. I blame insurance for taking such a long time to approve the claim.
The work on the car is flawless, the whole driver side looks brand freaking new as if it was a 2012. No orange peel nor any over spray. On the BONUS the owners of the shop was nice enough to touch on and re-​spray my rear lip spoiler since the clear coat was peeling off.
Overall great shop, fast work. And FREE CHINESE CALENDAR for 2013!!! CAN’T PASS ON FREE STUFF!!!

Came here to get my Camry fixed after being side swiped. They replaced the bumper and fixed the side of the car for a good price. The car looks great. They have great service too. They gave me a lift home all the way in Sunset. This is a father and son business and they take pride in their work. Will definitely be back if my car ever needs work.

Great job on repainting the front bumper on my 2001 Mercedes Benz SLK320. They even took the liberty to re-​align my headlight and corner lights because they were slightly off. Paint job looks fantastic and turn-​around time was only 2 days! Talk about going above and beyond! Highly recommended.
