Lee Jia Ming, PHD

I managed to conceive after 2 weeks of seeing Dr Lee. However, I continued to see her throughout the 1^st trimester to prevent a miscarriage. I wasn’t able to drink the Chinese herbs after a few weeks because of nausea, but continued doing acupuncture. Again, she was extremely nice while treating me. Patients were thoughtfully scheduled so it didn’t feel like a chaotic circus. Her facility is the cleanest I’ve experienced in comparison with other Chinese medicine doctors. She has classical music playing in the back rooms which made acupuncture more relaxing. I would have continued seeing her my full pregnancy but she insisted to stop treatment after the 1^st trimester. Dr Lee is a first rate doctor. I highly recommend her for any woman seeking help!

Dr. Ming helped me get pregnant. When I was getting ready to undergo IVF treatment I saw her months before I started the treatment and she gave me herbs and acupuncture treatment to improve circulation and other things to facilitate the IVF treatment that was to begin in 3 months. This treatment was crucial, I KNOW that if I had not received the treatment (herbs and acupuncture) I would not have been able to get pregnant. The issue with my poor circulation in the abdomen area was not addressed by any of the IVF doctors. I feel so grateful to Dr. Lee Jia Ming for her help.
As far as the other comments, Dr. Ming may not be the most congenial person on earth, but if you need to get pregnant go see her! If you want to make a friend, this is not the place for you, She is effective and that is her expertise.

Dr Lee is amazing!!! I have two beautiful children because of Dr Lee. My lovely boy and girl were born when I was 42 and 44. Dr Lee not only treats you with utmost professionalism but truly cares about her patients also. When we lost our first pregnancy, Dr Lee cried with us… You can call her anytime for advise and when she thinks that she can be of no more help she will advise you on what to do. You leave Dr Lee feeling healthy and she keeps your spirits high. When dealing with inftertility it is so hard to keep up the energy but Dr Lee is there with you every step of the way. You will not find better in the Bay Area.

Hands down the BEST TCM Dr in the Bay Area. I went to Dr Lee for about 4 mos and could not be happier with my results. She’s very professional, direct and confident in her practice. Sammy, the office asst is extremely knowledgable and professional as well. I tried many different TCM facilities from Oakland to SF and Dr Lee was the only one who delivered results, Quick!
Although she doesn’t offer a spa-​like atmosphere in her office, she gets the job done and I felt VERY comfortable and at ease with each visit– it was my weekly nap for 4 mos and I always left rejuvenated and feeling better than ever.
If you want someone who is professional, extremely knowledgeable, and can deliver results, then go see Dr. Lee, she WILL get the job done. I followed everything she said, even if I didn’t always understand why, I figured if I was going to pay her for her recommendations, the least I could do is follow it to the T and Voila! 4 mos in, we were celebrating our success!
I tell everyone I know to go see Dr. Lee! She’s the Best!

I went to her for a few times and would not go back because i fiound Dr Lee to be unethical, dishonest, arrogant, and a plain rip off with a very bad bedside manner and no compassion.
Within 5 minutes of meeting Dr Lee, she started sabotaging my previous acupuncturist and told me quite a bit of that Acupunturist personal information
The rooms at her clinic has no privacy whatsoever and others can totally hear your private conversation with her. and you can not relax at all during acupuncture session
I am not sure what is wrong with her techniques, but all the needle sites developed redness and swelling around it more than 1 cm in size sometimes and when I told her about it, she said it was my skin problem. I never had such problem with other Acupunturist or other needles,
Her bedside manner was horrible. She is arrogant, acted like you should begging for her skills. Her receptionist is not any better.
She charged $ 7.50 per day for herb in addition to a prescription fee of $ 20 making it more than $ 10.50 a day. One time I asked her to prescribe for two weeks and they are exactly the same prescription but she charged an extra $ 10 for «prescription fee» for the second week anyway. No other acupuncturist I have gone to charges a prescription fee. She does not give out the ingredients of her prescription (thus forcing you to have to buy herb from her and rip you off further), but when I bought one bag to have the ingredients matched at any other store, it cost only $ 2.90 per day as opposed to her $ 10.50 per day. And none of the ingradients was anything special. All my other acupuncturists gave out prescriptions that I can fill out at other stores.
She lied to you that she takes my insurance but need to charge you up front first and she will not file insurance claim for a whole month. This gave me false hope that she would give me the money back once insurance approves. Once she filed the claim, she said it would take insurance another 3 weeks to let them know if my insurance would cover those visits. But I called my insurance within 2 days, insurance said Dr Lee office has been notified that my insurance does not cover any of the office visits.
She uses scare tactic. She was trying to scare me to think that my body was in terrible shape such that I badly needed her help. No other acupuncturist i have been to does that either.
Stay away from her.
