I’m writing this review on behalf of my friend who got a massage with«Michael» on Friday September 11th at Lily Massage. She does not want to be identified here on Unilocal; she has given me permission to write this review. ****WOMENBEWARE!*****(graphic review) !!DONOTATTENDTHISESTABLISHMENTNORSUPPORTIT! –My friend, who is also a professional massage therapist, went to have a 70min massage with Michael, an asian man in his 40s. –Her thorough relaxing massage ended up being 75 min. with her leg being«trapped» open by Michael and him entering his fingers __________. and forced himself to fondle her.(without CONSENT) –She had told him a few times prior that he was massaging too close to her groin area. But he did not listen. –He also left a couple bruises on her inner upper thigh area. –She left the establishment in disbelief and shock as to what had happened. Like most women who go through sexual assault, it’s a traumatizing situation that can be isolating, confusing, embarrassing, and full of self-shame. so please be sensitive about this review. Today when she called Lily Massage to see if she can talk to the manager and reported it to the receptionist what had happened,… the receptionist COMPLETELY dismissed her!!! Ladies… please be careful. If this ever happens to you. please do not be afraid to report such incidents, anywhere! And this establishment should be shut down!!! Lily Massage… you are a disgrace!!! How dare you let this kind of dirty behavior happen in your business! Really sad as getting a massage should be a trusted healing environment but when a man takes advantage of it while someone is in a vulnerable state; it makes the industry look bad! He should be ashamed! Since it is kind of difficult to get through to the massage establishment, we are leaving a review here on Unilocal and also taking other actions. Michael is the massage therapist His License #12835

I’m glad I went here! I don’t usually leave reviews that often but I feel like this place was a little on the empty side and I left feeling that they deserve to be recognized for their hard work. I live nearby and always have passed by wondering about this place. It’s one of those massage places that you wonder if it’s actually legit. Well, it’s my birthday and so I thought I’d treat myself and give it a try! My overall experience is as follows and comes with a couple of tips for those wanting to go give it a try: The massage itself was EXCELLENT– my massage therapists name was Candy– and I am going to ask for her again next time. I really needed a deep tissue, dig in your back, but skilled and relaxing massage. I left on cloud 9. I got the 70 minutes for 60 dollars and left a handsome tip that was well deserved. Now, here are a couple of notes about this place: 1) there is a language barrier, and they ask you to pay upfront. I’ve never experienced that before, and was wondering how I would leave the tip(paid with credit card), but i just decided to ask(what a concept!) — she said I could write it in afterwards(they give you a slip just like in a restaurant). Fine with me. As for the language barrier, that means that if you want something, you need to speak up and be clear. For example, She asked me if «it’s ok?» meaning, I believed, the pressure of the massage. I said, «you can do more pressure if you like,» but realized I needed to be clearer, and said, «harder is good.» She understood and complied, and was very in-tuned with my body, making sure to put the hardest amount of pressure as I exhaled. 2) Red lights in the massage rooms… Not something you see everyday in many other massage places, but I honestly just think that that’s what they consider to be relaxing. And you know what– I left feeling like puddy, and the red lights plus the beautiful waterfall/music sounds they had on were part of that. So they’re actually right on. I just think that we’re not used to seeing red lights in other massage places and it kind of throws you off for obvious reasons. 3) They use a big towel to cover you instead of sheets. So, as a female, I requested a female massage therapist– and I am glad I did. There was definitely a tiny nip-slip at one point. Not a big deal but may be uncomfortable for some. Candy was totally professional, of course, and was looking away as I turned over and she held the towel up. Finally, the price is nice– i mean, for 70 minutes(which she actually ended up doing 75) a $ 60 fee is amazing. All in all– I am definitely going back and, because of the low price, I can say that it may even be a regular thing. I want this place to stay open so that’s also kind of a selfish reason why I am writing this review. Ok! That’s my review!

while on the outside is looks a bit dodgy and in the priivate rooms there are red lights, this is actually a legit place and very professional. I get massages 3 – 4 times a month since I have a bad back and I must say that this was one of the best I ever had. I also need to say that I typically dont write Unilocal reviews, so me taking th time to write means a lot. older ladies with load of knowledge. for sure going back!!!

Very comfortable. The atmosphere was relaxing. The body scrub and the massage were the best I have had in a long time. Nancy is an excellent masseuse. Highly recommend this spa. I will be back!

I’m a regular but NOTANYMORE! Called in to make reservation for ‘David’. Woman said Ok. Then finally found a parking space; came in and i said ‘That’s not David’. What a liar… walked out and never coming back! If David is not working anymore… just say so!

A really good deal. David is excellent. It looks sketchy from the outside. It has really trippy lights like a Lynch movie. All of this makes it a really cool surprising spa experience n. Kitschy. Relaxing. Out of the ordinary. If you want a great massage, body scrub and scintillating light show this is an awesome value.

I have been to Lily’s five times now and every single time I’ve been, I have a fantastic massage! The facility is super clean, private, no funny business,(hey, you never know with some of these places), staff is friendly and ambience is very relaxing. I previously went to the places that are up and down Polk Street, but this place is much more relaxing. You get your own room and their prices are great! I usually get the 70 minute massage for $ 60; can’t beat that! This place most definitely deserves FIVE stars!

I’ll probably be going back frequently– I guess they’ve learned from the last reviews because I didn’t have to pay first(nice note) but for an hour massage it cost me $ 40(though at an earlier visit it was only $ 30…) plus an awesome tip. We went in as a group of three and they took care of us right away– I don’t think they understand much english so next time I hope I can make it clearer when I’d like more pressure(so hint to the world, ask for what you want). Overall, I will return and I think others should too– they go well over the hour you pay for and they are very courteous — I found it really easy to relax, plus they didn’t spend my entire time there talking to each other so that made it much easier as well. — And for the record bobs donuts is around the corner so go get your massage and donut time on!

The owner of Lily Massage is extremely accomdating and friendly. I have sore heels often and a massage from this establishment always does the trick to fix that issue. I would recommend for a foot massage!

This place is great! I made an impromptu appointment on my way back from yoga for the same evening and was met with friendliness from both staff. The woman(Lily I believe) was incredibly in tune with the right amount of pressure and ensured I was comfortable. She even went about 10 – 15 minutes over the hour which from my experience is very rare. They are friendly, accommodating and very reasonable. Highly recommended!

I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 2 ½ years and have always thought this place looked a little dodgy. But when a friend recommended this place to me, I decided to give it a go. Turns out Lily Massage just opened in Feb 2013 so maybe the dodgy-ness was from the previous business. My first session was with Ken, who is ah-mazing! His work is very therapeutic and he works your entire body, massaging and accessing pressure points that no other places have. He also utilizes the Chinese practice of Qi Kung(I think that’s right) where his hands help to absorb pain or bad energy from your body. Ken was able to hone in on my problems and I’ve since returned and plan on becoming a regular. I feel so light and better when I leave, like all my aches wash away. I have had a little soreness, but nothing intense, and ultimately my body feels so much better. For $ 50/hour, I’m a lifer!

My neck and shoulders were bugging me and I saw the sign. The lobby looked relatively legit. The room had a weird red light in it(made me a little nervous), and they misquoted the price for a 30-minute massage — went from $ 50 to $ 30, but my massage here was pretty solid actually, so for that, 3 stars. They made me pay in advance too, which I’ve done before.

This is not a legit place for a real massage. Any place that asks you to pay first is not good. Leave!
