This place is the best! I’ve tried a few other places in the city and nothing beats it. It is one of the cheapest places to get a haircut and they work so hard on ensuring you get the best cut. I’ve been to the churn and burn kind of barbers that just rush through people for low cost and always was dissatisfied. At the other end of the spectrum, I had been to places that cost $ 40-​$ 60 for a haircut and weren’t happy either (those are the kind of places that give you whiskey to distract you from the mediocre haircut you’re getting.) But this place is extremely affordable and you leave with a great haircut.
The barbers and stylist spend so much time and care on ensuring that you get a quality haircut. I went in the other day and she made a few recommendations I was a little nervous with at first, but I left with one of my best haircuts.
I always look forward to going back and really recommend this place!

I absolutely love Maggie’s service today. I came in for layers, fade on the side, and dye (from pitch black to ashy blonde) and it was all only $ 55! The atmosphere was very vibrant in here, and Maggie is skillful in her line of work. Men’s haircut is only $ 20 with a complimentary wash! She is also very skillful in replicating pictures, so come with pics of exactly how you want your hair to look and she can most likely execute it close to perfect. I don’t know how else to describe my experience at Lombard’s Beauty Salon; it definitely was above and beyond my expectations.

Maggie you are awesome! Throughly enjoyed my visit and thank you for going above and beyond to give your customers the best experience. Every haircut comes complimentary with a free wash and scalp massage. All included for 20 dollars, I don’t know what more I can ask for! Hoping my hair will grow faster so I can come back for my next visit!

Maggie was amazing! I just had my haircut today and she really took her time, was very patient, and kept reiterating that if I wanted to go shorter and make adjustments to just let her know. She was tremendously precise and a pleasure to speak with. Amazing customer service along with a fantastic cut. I’ll be back!

BAIT and SWITCH!
I have been here twice. The first time I had a great haircut from Maggie. More recently, I called and made an appointment with Maggie. When I arrived she pawned me off on one of her assistants who, by the way, can’t cut hair;
result: really lousy haircut, uneven, patchy, yuck

Maggie is absolutely amazing! I got a bad haircut at Woodbridge just last week. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize until after my first wash. The stylist at Woodbridge curled my hair so I couldn’t tell how bad the layers were. It looked like I cut my hair own in my sleep. Maggie fixed my hair. She knew exactly what to do!
I am so appreciative for this neighborhood salon. Don’t be fooled by the appearance and I know it looks like a lot of males come here for cuts, but she definitely does a great job cutting women’s hair. I finally found my go to salon!

This place is own by a husband and wife team and they are just the sweetest and kindest business owners. They are very nice and polite. I can’t speak for the hair coloring here but the haircuts for both men and women appears to be very professional and done correctly. Maggie is very friendly and is really good at her craft. For the price and service it is well worth it. Make sure to check in on Unilocal to get the deals. Its always nice to support local small business owners.

Maggie is great. Friendly, skilled, and accommodating. I drive out of my way to see her.

In a word: amazing quality, especially for the money!
I did a drop-​in in the middle of the day and was greeted with a smile and a seat. My hair is very simple (I’ve been pretty happy with 10-​minute cuts), but the lady here spent 25 minutes hunting stray hairs and putting in the final touches. Meticulous, friendly and great quality. Not even including the complimentary wash (never gotten one, will get one the next time as well).
They could easily charge $ 35 instead of $ 20 for the service and get my business, remember to tip them accordingly.

Love my haircut and follow-​up shampoo and head massage. The place is new and clean and the owner was very friendly. Highly recommended.

Maggie is very meticulous and careful. I showed her a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like and that was it. I really felt like I was being taken care of and not just rushed in and out like a lot of places that I’m used to. I would recommend getting in towards the early part of the day as she tends to get busy towards the afternoon.
The price is also more than reasonable and I would definitely recommend getting the wash afterwards. I guess it’s normally $ 5 but she gave it to me for free. I will definitely be coming back whenever I am in San Francisco.

Unfortunately, Lombard Beauty and Maggie no longer deserve the 5 stars I originally rated. I’m sure Maggie is still a very skilled hairstylist and they are still a fantastic value but I’ve had multiple negative experiences to recommend this place any longer. The worst part is each of these instances were easily avoidable if they cared about their customers.
My first negative experience was some weeks back. I called Maggie and made an appointment with her and for her. When I arrived, she told me her partner would be cutting my hair even though she had no customers of her own. I trusted her judgement so I accepted. Of course the haircut was off and I was upset. I made an appointment with Maggie. If I didn’t care who cut my hair, I wouldn’t have bothered making an appointment there. Isn’t there some unspoken rule on this?
I decided to give Lombard Beauty another chance because of my previous positive experiences with them. I called and made sure Maggie was available and SHE was going to cut my hair. I arrived on time to see her just starting on a drop-​in customer. She told me it will be quick but after 15min of wait, it was clear it was not going to be quick. Again, why bother making an appointment when it neither secures the person or the time.
I gave them 5 stars initially but now they only deserve 2.

Just got a haircut here. Maggie is very talented in what she does. She pays great attention to detail. If you have a picture bring it in so she have an idea of what you want. She will cut your hair to how to picture looks like. She will show you how to style your hair as well. This is a great place for the price. I’ve been to many other places paying up to 35 – 40 dollars. Never again am I going to pay that much. Great customer service and great hair wash service. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT

Such a great gem to find, especially in the Marina! They spend a great deal of time making sure your hair is just right and looks the way you want it. Always open for walk-​ins, a great price, and my favorite thing of all, the head massage at the end! Hard to find anything better!

After experiencing lombard salon, I now understand why it has 5 stars. I was skeptical at first but once I saw the front doors I knew it’d be a place that’d have my business for future haircuts. Maggie who assuming is the owner is very very friendly and so accomodating.
I came in looking ratchet and so trashy and needed a fix and Maggie did that for me. On top of the hair cut I got free deep conditioning and styling. She took care me. Even tried to make sure I had enough time on the meter lol. She knew what look would fit and it worked and definitely made me look brand new.
The establishment itself is clean and organized. It is big and spacious so you are not elbows next to another person.
Sorry Maggie for the late review but thank you for your service. Everyone ive encountered had loads of compliments thanks to your work.

The best my hair has looked in 10 years.
My first haircut here today, I would rate 5 stars if it had been pricey, but it was $ 20 for a men’s cut!
About me: 40+ male, thinning hair on top and in front (the hard part), but it’s thick-​wavy hair… I knew it could still work, if cut correctly — they cut it perfectly here.
I would give this place 5 stars (and return) if the cost was double.
$ 20 for the men’s cut on 4÷20÷15. They gave me the ($ 5) wash for free, but I recommend it anyways — I usually say no to wash, blow-​dry, «product», etc, but it really helped. I will do it for the $ 5 when I go back. I tipped $ 10 on the $ 20 price… it felt like a steal… hope I didn’t under-​tip (?).
Place is down at the Presidio/​Bridge end of Lombard on the Pac Heights side. I had no trouble finding a meter space on the Marina side of Lombard, but next time I plan to park on the other side. I went afternoon on a weekday.

This is the first time I’ve felt compelled to write a review on Unilocal.I had such a wonderful experience at Maggie’s salon, which is refreshing since the last place I got my haircut was sub-​par. Maggie has great attention to detail, and I didn’t feel that the haircut was rushed at all. The shampoo and scalp massage at the end was a nice finishing touch! The best part is that the price is unbeatable! $ 20 for a quality haircut in SF? I’ll take it!
I can’t speak for the ladies, but I have no doubt that anyone, male or female, would be more than pleased with their experience. I’m happy to have found my new barber!

Maggie is the best! I come here at least twice a month to get a cut, and it’s the only place I’ve found that can handle my thin & curly hair. Maggie takes the time to give me a quality cut during every appointment. I will definitely keep bringing/​referring business.
They also offer massages and facials Tuesday through Sunday. I’ve signed up for a full body massage, and will update this review once I get it.
I cannot tell you how happy I am with the customer service here. I über/​lyft all the way from glenn park to make my appointment nowadays.

It’s rare that you find such a comfortable and friendly hair salon… they really made me feel special.
It goes without saying that I’m extremely happy with my haircut.

So I was flipping through the Marina Times, when I noticed a coupon for $ 10 for a haircut at The Lombard Beauty Salon, so what can I lose besides my hair?
Needless to say, Maggie was well worth the visit, if you’re not happy with the cut, you can come back for a touch up free of charge.
Haircut with Marina Times coupon $ 10, tipped $ 10, $ 20 total, which is the normal rate. I will return at the normal rate, finding a good hairstylist on a budget is hard. Maggie is a Godsend.
