These guys have good quality flooring options in a nice showroom and way better prices than some of the fancier places around. James and team were super helpful on 2 different occasions I had to buy flooring recently. They helped me select and managed around a few complex logistical requests — delivering faster than the promised and getting things right the first time. I will definitely go back should the need arise again.

We called in here looking for a quote for flooring for our place. James greeted us and answered all our questions in a professional and welcoming way. He juggled other customers while helping us too. After going to another flooring place just before and being treated terribly we will definitely be using lumber liquidators based, in most, on James’ wonderful customer service. Thanks!

I was recently in Lumber Liquidator and had the best customer service experience ever. I was immediately greeted on entrance to the showroom, by James Jew. He was very helpful, informative and even gave me good suggestions. He knew the products well and advised me about the under layer for better installation. He is a definite asset to this company. I had a good experience working with Mario and the team at the Geary location. I have a fair amount of experience putting in floors, but they offered helpful guidance on a product I hadn’t used before. They also arranged to have my order delivered to Roseville for a time-​sensitive job. Not only did the order arrive as promised, it was early and waiting for me. Staff called to make sure everything went well. I’m a happy customer and would work with them again.

These bad reviews are undeserving. Wood is wood and it needs to be lined up and racked well before it’s laid… That’s why you get a contractor that specializes in and knows flooring specifically. Not every general contractor knows what they’re doing with flooring. The people that work here are honest and know flooring in and out. I highly recommend them. 5 stars!!!

I bought ¾″ solid hardwood, knowing they were having problems with all other types of flooring they make — laminate, bamboo, engineered. it was milled really poorly. this means that when one laid it down, you have gaps between boards wide enough to fit a dime, or a penny even, in. This covered maybe a third of the wood and the wood was milled off center, so there was a gap running on the top, but not the bottom when two were aligned. Horrible. After seven days of trying to return for a refund, and seven different people I was given to over the time, and my ramping up threats as to what I would do unless I got a refund (for unused flooring the box which was defective), they finally gave me a refund (even though it was outside the refund date allowed of 30 days from purchase). But, this wood was defective by any standard. I later saw when reading online, it’s another big problem they have — solid wood floors. The manager and salesperson at the SF store tried hard to help, but their hands were tied, clearly the corporate policies for dealing with problems is horrible. I bought new flooring from The Floor Store and it was a completely opposite experience — great flooring, looks great, no problems. Stay away from LL for any flooring.

I am a general contractor. My job is to provide quality work that at times involves installing flooring. On a few different occasions I have been requested to install flooring that came from Lumber Liquidators. I can say with absolute certainty that many of the products that they sell are completely worthless. They are poorly manufactured, do not install well and look very cheap. There are so many flooring options out there that are not expensive but are made well. I am not saying anything negative about the staff or the store. Perhaps they have flooring that is of decent quality. But because of several bad experiences using their materials I will not install any products from this company. If I could I would give them negative stars for stealing peoples money selling garbage. Don’t take my word for it, look them up online and read the endless complaints against them.

ZERO STARS! DO NOT BUY FROM LUMBER LIQUIDATORS! The internet is full of reviews that are bad and i couldnt find ONE where someone actually had their issue resolved! Thousands of $$ lost by people… over $ 3000 by us… the only place you will find GLOWING reviews is their own website… ironic? I think not. We have had a floor installed for less than a year and huge gaps… some nearly an inch and they will find ANY loophole to keep from honoring the warranty. And they spend months jerking you around just to deny any responsibility. So lame… facebook it, tweet it… they should be shut down! We are beginning legal action.

It’s a great experience shopping at Lumber Liquidators. Travis, the associate store manager, is particularly helpful and left us with a very great impression. Travis was very patient and he was here with us answering all kinds of questions and flooring materials 101 for my husband and myself. When I went there again, he offered the same top quality service and offered some wonderful options that were on sale. He offered many very helpful suggestions on how to match the flooring color with the wall painting and our fireplace. He also let us know that be careful when you choose dark flooring, which might make the room look small. We were very satisfied with Travis’ services and we purchased bamboo flooring for our living room and two master BRs for our first home. Thanks Travis!

RUN, don’t walk right out the door if you find yourself in this store. We bought a brand new engineered hardwood floor from here for our remodeled house. No sooner was it installed then it started scratching and pocking from, well, I don’t even know what! I think parts of it arrived scratched. We don’t wear shoes in our house, and our furniture is all covered with pads. One piece of sand on a sock can scratch it. Fall down and hit a belt of the floor, scratch. Move a book, scratch. What does lumber liquidators say? Oh, this is from your shoes. It is not covered by a warranty. Huh? We don’t wear shoes in the house! And what if we did– they sell floors that aren’t made for people to walk on in shoes? Really? They should probably put that on the display. Bottom line, they don’t stand behind their products and will do anything to deny responsibility for them. NOT where you want to do business.

Francisco at LL was very helpful, knowledgable and professional in helping me with my flooring project. He was able to match the stair nose with my existing floor and had it delivered to my house in a day. The match was perfect! I would definitely go back for any flooring project in the future. Their prices at hard to beat as well!

We bought a new apartment which has hardwood floors in every room but the bedroom. The bedroom has an ugly carpet that we want to replace with hardwood floors. We went to Lowes and Home Depot but there was never anyone there to help us. Why they have large floor departments with no employees to assist customers makes no sense to me.
So we decided to go to Lumber Liquidators on Geary Blvd and try our luck there. When we walked in we were greeted by a very nice man (who turned out to be the manager). We had been given tips on how to choose a floor from an interior decorator. He told us that if we could not match the floor perfectly to choose a different floor (so it doesn’t look as if we were trying to match it with the existing floor) and to join the two floors visually with the threshold that goes between the two rooms.
We looked around the store for a while and found a few floors that we thought might work. At that point, the manager (William) came up to assist us and we told him in detail what we were trying to do. He gave us the same advice as our interior designer but was even more helpful. He also suggested that we pick a floor different from the one in the rest of the apartment but try to match one of the colors in the new floor with a color in the existing floor.
We had selected 2 different floor types but were unsure which one we should select. He suggested that we drop one of the floors as there were no matching colors and that we select the other floor type that we had selected since one of the colors in that floor matched the existing floors. I believe (since the floor isn’t in yet) that the new floor will enhance the value of the apartment and I am excited to see how it will look.
Unfortunately, they did not have that particular floor type on display (they have parts of their showroom floor laid out with the different floor types that they sell). So he went onto the internet and showed us pictures that customers had sent in of the floor that we were prepared to buy. We then asked about an installer who could measure the room, remove the existing carpet, and install the new floor. William immediately sent an e-​mail to the contractor and we are awaiting his phone call.
We were very impressed with William (and therefore Lumber Liquidators). He was cheery, professional, was not afraid to offer us advice, and he made what had become an arduous process for us an easy decision. We have been struggling with the floor selection for over two weeks now.
I will update this review once the contractor has installed the floor. So far, I can whole-​heartedly recommend William and Lumber Liquidators. We have had limited contact with any other employees so I don’t know how good they are but if you need to find a hardwood floor I can recommend William.
Quick update on 4÷17÷2012. The installer was coming to measure the room at 1:00. He showed up at 1:00. Very professional, so far, still very impressed.
Quick update on 4÷18÷2012. The installer submitted the measurements to William at Lumber Liquidators. William called me and I ordered the floor. I am now waiting for the installer to call me to schedule the installation. Still all very professional and helpful.

I referred a friend to Lumber Liquidators and they purchased their Bella Wood Flooring. During installation it was quickly discovered the wood was not same width or thickness and there were scratches in the new pre-​finished wood. Upon complaint she was told that she was outside the 30 day return policy and that they might exchange it for her. The customer service is abhorrent and embarrassing. Do not patronize Lumber Liquidators for any reason.
