Lumos Lab Inc. is the amazing company behind Lumosity, and their annual subscription is worth more than my gym membership. Training my brain with neuroscience-backed games is something I look forward to everyday. I’ve been a member of their neuroscience training platform for many weeks already(my second cognition test is in a day!) I appreciate the beautiful GUI, scientific articles from their great blog( ), and psychometric feedback. The Lumosity Perfomance Index(LPI) is a measure of your cognitive ability. It is a number calculated across memory, flexibility, speed, attention, and problem solving domains. The analytics behind the LPI are beautiful(see screenshot) — it’s easy to see how you compare with your age range. A+++ Revolutionary and entertaining online cognitive games, love the science and culture behind it – Lumosity rocks! PROS + Keep track of your mood and sleep in the app too! + Games are fun and colorful — you can tell Lumosity’s designers put a lot of thought into them. + It is available on iPad and iPhone, also. + The training program is fine-tuned to your preferences. + I actually have favorite games, including: Word Bubbles Rising, Eagle Eye, and Raindrops. They look incredible on iPhone, iPad, and the web. + The Help Center is useful( ) and will probably assist you with anything you probably need. + It has a lot of value: they are always adding new games to try(I haven’t tried them all even after a few months) + It is backed by science that you can read about(the aforementioned blog). + You definitely get the feeling of progression and improvement, like you are getting stronger. And everything is trackable online! CONS — It does cost something. The family plan is $ 61.08 annually with five accounts. If you join with friends you can actually save quite a bit of money. My yearly plan is $ 49.99 just for me! PRESS You can read more about Lumosity through their press page, here: .
