I stopped in here on the way to a 3 year olds birthday party. I went straight to the woman at the counter and asked what to get a 3 year old for her birthday. She took me to the front and asked for a price range and if I preferred a specific kind of gift. I said tactile, so she said ok interactive. She showed me a couple of great items any I picked one. I asked if she could wrap it and she said yes. She rang me up quickly, wrapped the gift, and I was all set. She was awesome and made it so easy!

My favorite kids store. The toys are all high quality and fun. The clothing is adorable and well made. The books are magical. I love it!

I miss Peekabootique. Yes, it was kind of a strange little store, but it held a lot of memories for me, as I purchased through the ages of my children as they continued to outgrow their wardrobes. I told them to stay small and cute, but kids NEVERLISTEN. Unlike Peekabootique, this store sells brand new everything. And it’s all kid oriented, because this is Noe Valley, land of the small humans. I looked through the inventory, and it was typically trendy and modernish, as San Francisco kid stores tend to be. There were toys for a variety of ages, as well as a small selection of clothing that would benefit parents looking for a last minute rain coat for the unexpected downpour, or baby onesies with clever sayings for the baby shower you forgot about. It’s not necessarily the most economical shopping I’ve done for my kids, but in this neighborhood, I never expect to be wowed. No door busters allowed in this ‘hood, and the community here definitely shows a lot of support for the small businesses on 24th. With the out of control rents for businesses, I totally understand the lack of bargain shopping here. I do think this store would benefit from a little fine tuning of their inventory. They could add more variation in their selection of products, too, because Noe has been aching for a new infusion of cool and chic since the 90’s. Other than that, it’s a solid little store, and in time I’m sure they’ll feel the vibe of their new clientele.

This store just took over the Peekaboutique location. We stopped in this weekend, and while it’s not fully up and running(they’re still waiting for quite a bit of their inventory), it seems like it’s going to be pretty cool. Nice selection of upscale eco-friendly toys and other childrens’ items, with an emphasis on design.
