Seriously.
According to CPMC website he says «I am a strong proponent of proactive emdicine [sic].» That makes sense. I didn’t see any «medicine» being practiced. I was looked at and barely talked to and told «you’re ok». His English and communication skills were so-​so.

I had good experience with Mark Rozengurt. I had upper respiratory infection twice last year and he saw me. I never had to wait in huge line, the wait was very short. He seemed attentive and polite and prescibed antibiotics which cured me. I had another concern but he gave me his opinion which wasn’t what I wanted to hear (a surgery) and told me in the long run I would be better off without it. I have PPO rather than HMO. I even once dropped in without an appointment and he agreed to see me! What doc would ever do that? I used to be with Kaiser too but not anymore. I am going back to Blue Cross this year and the doctor returned my call so we can submit past documents and get me reinstated. He seemed cooperative and polite, once again, the experience overall was positive.

I am sorry to say such malicious things, but this man is A JOKE.
i went to see him because he was close to my house and i finally got insurance and was free to see some doctors.
well, free meaning a 40 $ copay. Which this DOCTORS OFFICE in 2007 only takes in the form of CASH. so i had to back out to kaiser to get money from their ATM, (thanks 3 $ surcharge)
the russianness didnt bother me, i have russian family and friends and have since i was a small child, so i was quite used to the whole thing.
but the man himself was terrible. I came to him in full disclosure, having not been to a dr in 6 or 7 years, told him all my worries and complaints (or i was planning on it if he had seemed even moderately interested) i brought up some things like how i wanted to have some food allergy tests because i had been getting pretty ill from grub and couldnt figure out why. he just didnt care. he stared at me blankly. waited for me to stop talking, didnt check the things i had even asked him to look at and then it was on to the recomendations.
«this doctor (40 $) this other dr (40 $) oh and this guy too (40 $) because he had NO ANSWER for A SINGLE AILMENT *IF* he even listened. Then he told me i had to have some blood work. Since i am still young and poor, i asked him «how much does that typically run» and he answered «twenty dollars, no one has ever complained about the cost» (180 $)
i havent gone back to find out the results. i will not pay that man another cent, and now that i read these reviews, i have a sinking feeling he wont give me MY test results without a fight either.

I came to Dr. Rozengurt because I had been coughing up a storm for a month and I thought I was on my death bed. After listening to my lungs and asking me a couple of questions, he deduced I had a viral respiratory infection superimposed by a bacterial infection. How he could get that from my lung sounds is beyond me. But he did give me some antibiotics for free (he had a sample in his office), and that did the trick. I was lots better two days later and fully cured by the next week.
However, his English is not so good and I got the impression several times that he couldn’t understand me but just said «yes sure» anyway. Minus one star. Minus another for not seeming to care too much about his patient’s concerns or questions.
Minus another star because he had me do some lab tests that cost me over $ 300 in co-​pay. When I called the office to ask for a copy, the receptionist rudely told me I did not need to see them, that they belonged to Dr. Rozengurt and not me. Um, hello, what the hell? I think I have a right to know the results too, especially after the out of pocket costs for the tests. After much arguing, she finally sent me a copy, but not before letting me know how much I was inconveniencing her.

In the interest of full disclosure, you should know that 1. I’ve never liked male doctors, and 2. I actually kinda like Kaiser.
With that out of the way, I went to Dr. Rozengurt because he was the closest doctor to my apartment that my old insurance covered. I only visited him once, but even if I hadn’t gotten new insurance I probably wouldn’t have gone back.
The waiting room was hot and stuffy and dusty, and thanks to both my arriving a little early and my appointment running a little late, I had to spend more time in there than I would have liked. All of the receptionist’s phone conversations were conducted in Russian, the two other patients who passed through spoke Russian, and Dr. Rozengurt spoke with a heavy Russian accent, all of which combined to not exactly make me feel very welcome and that I was out of place.
Once I finally got in to see Dr. Rozengurt, he was brusque, asked a lot of questions that I didn’t think were very relevant to my particular problem, and I was generally put off by his demeanor. I got the overall vibe that he wasn’t interested in having me as a patient, preferring to stick to his established clientele of Russian families in the Richmond — and while that’s totally fine, it wasn’t for me.
