Will never go to this store ever again. They will absolutely rip you off on the price of alcohol. I realize that its at the heart of the city thus priced accordingly but the degree to which they will surge charge you is just ludicrous. STAY AWAY is an understatement.

Average and over priced selection and ridiculous credit card policy. Bought a $ 30 bottle of prosecco and paid with visa. On my way out the door I noticed bottles of water selling for $ 1.99 and asked to buy one. $ 10 credit card fee and the woman behind the counter had absolutely no interest in making any kind of accommodations: either letting me return the prosecco and purchase again with water or just letting me buy the water with a lower credit card fee. She also never got off the phone the entire time I was in the store.

Best priced liquor store in the area. You wont find any store with a greater variety of fine wine, champagne, beer and snacks. The cigarettes there are also very cheap. The owner uses a scanning system so you can be comfortable that you wont be ripped off unlike what other reviewers said on here. A new owner has taken over and had a remodeling done, the service now is excellent. I highly recommend this place. It’s comparatively cheap, and close to union square.

Used to come here when in town for business if i was at a nearby hotel; prices were reasonable compared to rest of union square area.
However, came in 4÷9÷14, and dude has just gone shadeball. No prices on the alcohol, so he rings up any price he wants. Example, I was here 3÷28÷14, got a sixer of Lagunitas for 11.99 + tax. On 4÷9÷14 he just randomly rang up 18.99 plus tax. Please. I see what you did there.
Long story short: dude (and it’s the same dude, has been for years) seems to have embraced the shadier side of things and will randomly rip you off if he thinks he can get away with it. We got into it, and I went half a block up the street on Sutter to Marty’s (who as of this writing does not rip you off and is a pleasant individual) and got my Lagunitas for said $ 11.99. Do yourself a favor and do the same.

Review #1318. Good local comprehensive liquor store with single glass sake, red and white wines, champagne, etc.
The bottled wines were priced comparatively in the area. It’s a good pickup spot if you want to get a bottle quickly and just don’t have time to go to a wine shop.
And don’t forget to pick up a lottery ticket too!

Stumbled in here while staying at the hotel across the street. Prices are insane except for the convenience factor. Hell, if I had the business in this location I’d charge high too.

I agree with the previous review, regarding the front step, being maze like, and close quarters.
I think the cigarettes are pricey, but since I work close by, the owner of the store says I get a discount… sweet! I recently bought a pack of Pure Smokes, electronic cigarettes there too.
I really appreciate the fact that this place is so close to my work, and across the street from my gym.
The sodas cost a quarter less then the café in the lobby, of my work place. This is my go to for sodas, bottled water, chips, a banana, cigarettes, and even paper plates.

Weird shaped liquor store. Thankfully I wasn’t drunk before walking into this place because the front steps are a total hazard. Things are laid out in such a maze like way and in such close quarters that I suspect a fire marshal has not inspected this place for compliance in quite sometime. Certainly there is no handicapped access but I bet the crack heads get stuck trying to get their cheese frequently.
They stock my brand of cigarettes and a pack of those babies plus a 12er of Tecate (for mah homies) ran me exactly $ 23. Meh.
Bonus star for asking to see my ID. For the cigarettes (NOT mine). (happy dance)
