Matthew Ma, Founder & CEO of Avant Real Estate Group started his real estate career in 2007. During the quick downturn of the housing market Matthew saw many opportunities to work with his clientele to invest in properties and build wealth.

In 2012, Matthew earned his California Mortgage Loan Officer’s license to help his clientele further by analyzing their mortgages and real estate investments. From there, Matthew worked with his clients on purchases, refinances, investments, and 1031 exchanges.

In 2014, Matthew earned his California Real Estate Brokers license and founded Avant Real Estate Group.

Being raised in San Francisco Matthew has grown up with a passion for food, fun, technology and a love for Real Estate. His hobbies include jet-​setting around the world, culinary exploration, technology, and photography.

Ever since we bought our house, Matthew has followed up with us to make sure we had the best loan rate. After about six months, he’s helped us with the refinancing process and get a lower interest rate. His careful attention and constant help even so long after we bought the house really shows how great of an agent he is. He has also helped us in updating our leases with our tenants. He has in depth knowledge about the entire process of buying a house and being a landlord.

Not only is Matthew a great Real Estate Agent he also keeps watch of my San Francisco Investment Properties and continuously looks out for the best time to refinance. He took the time to let me know that interest rates were low and I may want to refinance my investment property. He not only informed me of the lower rates but referred a loan agent to me. Matt Ma once again does a fantastic job as a Realtor! This time he helped us refinance our home in what seemed like just a matter of days, only requiring a few signatures!
He helped lowered our mortgage to below apartment rental rates! So, the same great home from the previous review, now costing less than a 2 bedroom apartment in my area!

We’re very happy with our real estate agent Matthew Ma. He helped us with the sale of our South San Francisco investment property. He explained in detail the real estate sales process, went through all paper work thoroughly, analyzed market trends in suggesting sales price, took care of cleaning, photography, and staging the property, and helped us review the option of doing 1031 exchange and loan. He recommended us to talk to our CPA and 1031 exchange lawyer before making final decisions in fund allocation after sales. He is very patient and wanted us to be comfortable with all our decisions. We certainly will continue using him again as our realtor for our future real estate transactions.

Matt is a true professional. Throughout the search/​bid process, Matt was extremely helpful in providing important information like loan rates, comparable prices, and remodeling ideas. Matt was very patient and realistic with us. We put down about 5 offers since 2013 and had a hard time with some sellers but Matt was always optimistic about things and kept us positive. We just wanted to purchase a house but Matt is the one who dealt with the crazy sellers demands in this ridiculous market. Matt always gave us ideas about investment possibilities in each house we were interested in but was never too pushy. Just offered conjecture. Matthew has been a great agent. He recently helped us complete a 1031 exchange within the tight timeframe required for this kind of property purchase. Even after we bought the house, he still followed up with us every so often to make sure we were able to rent out each of the units. He gave us tips on how to get a good price for the rent and also helped us with the Craigslist posting. He is very thorough and works very hard to help his clients. He truly goes over and beyond his responsibilities.

Matt just helped us purchased our first home! He is not just an agent, but an amazing real estate professional. He gives wise advises on the locations, the market, the interest rates, and the in’s and out’s of the entire purchase process. He also gives us tips on improvements that would increase the value of the house, and recommendations on contractors and building supplies companies.
Matt responds very quickly to phone calls and emails. He makes all documents digital sign-​able which makes it a lot easier for both of us to get the documents sign at any place any time.
We just started using Matt recently and the two bids we placed with him were all got accepted. He works hard for his clients in terms of communication with the seller to get their offer accepted. We also used Matt to do our loan as well and he helped us got the best rate possible. He watches the interest rate closely and has his own analysis to track the rate to make sure he helps his client lock at the best rate.
After closing, Matt is still working with us now to help on ideas of remodeling. His recommendations on contractors gives us the best quotes and are doing great jobs on our house.
Matt is incredibly good at what he does, extremely patient, and a pleasure to work with.

This guy is as good as it gets. Matt worked with us diligently and quickly and provided extraordinary service with great results. We were able to secure an incredible locked refi rate with no fees outside of the appraisal fee. Many of the fliers and junk-​mail we got promised the same thing, but the fees were still there… just built into the loan, which ultimately we would have to pay for. Matt was transparent and efficient so we knew exactly what we were getting and what we were paying.

I was very impressed by Matthew’s knowledge of the San Francisco area housing market. As a first time home buyer, he was very responsive and genuine to my many questions and works within the parameters you give him. He has the client’s interest in mind and goes above and beyond in order to meet your needs. I’m glad to have found a realtor who let’s you know if he feels something won’t meet your long term goal and provides helpful advice about mortgages, contractors, etc. He helped me close a house successfully after much back and forth from the bank.
