Maverick is an American Eatery & Wine Bar serving Lunch and Dinner weekly with Brunch and Dinner Saturday and Sunday. Our kitchen focuses on regional American cuisine using as much organic produce and sustainable meats and fish as possible. It is our goal to serve you the best possible product at the best price all with style and grace.
Our wine and beer program consist of American wines from many different states, including Virginia, Michigan, New York, and New Mexico as well as select European wines. We present our wines in a myriad of formats including, but not limited to bottles, half bottles, glasses, half glasses, white/red flights, mixed flights, half bottle flights, and featured bottles (in which we open a bottle selection and offer it by the glass). The «Vines» denotes the American wines and the «Roots» denotes the European selections. Our staff is very wine savvy and looks forward to helping you find something you will love.

As the wine director at Maverick, Mike excels and takes very seriously the potential synergistic pairings of food and wine – something he takes particular pride in. He loves testing his knowledge and palette and is always up for the challenge of finding the perfect pairing for extraordinary dishes on the menu such as «buffalo wings» made with frogs’ legs Frank’s Hot Sauce. (Brut Rose sparkler from Michigan is the answer – a truly Maverick combo!)
