Some of my areas of expertise include relationships, chemical dependency recovery, compulsive gambling, sex addiction, anxiety disorders, depression, grief and loss, and coping with chronic illness. I also have helped many clients with crisis management and adjusting to serious losses, like a medical diagnosis, end of relationship, or death of a partner or family member. I also enjoy seeing gay and straight couples alike for couples therapy. I tend to be holistic in my approach as well, striving to keep in mind the larger systems of mental health, including the importance of physical health, diet and exercise.

I’ve been in the field since the early 1990’s and in and out of private practice since 1997. I graduated from the Clinical Psychology program at San Francisco State University in 1995. I’ve worked and interned at a number of Bay Area schools, hospitals, and clinics, including Marin Community Mental Health, Dixie Elementary School, San Leandro Community Counseling, Family Service Mid-​Peninsula, Fremont Hospital, Billy DeFrank Community Center, Nailah Family Services, and Family Service Agency — San Francisco.
