Support your local mom n pops! I’m an everyday customer, we keep one another in the loop as to the goings on in our area… how do you put a value on that? I love these folks like family. They will give you credit if you’re a tad short(just pay when you can)…awesome people that have what you need in a pinch. Can ’t say enough of the good they provide.

I am so proud that this is the closest corner store to my place! Friendly service, consistently decent wine selection, what more could you want?

Always great service on delivery orders. One time they overcharged me and I didn’t even notice. They wrote me back the next day apologizing and credited the amount back to my card. Great honest service.

Mike’s is ur typical mission grocery/liquor store. most microbrews/sodas, drinks pricey(not doubt due to rent issues). friendly people. lucky to have found something affordable/seasonable. drink: reed’s extra ginger beer(1.79) –very strong, great drink

Not a bad place to get your booze. They don’t just sell your typical 7-eleven beers and wine, they go beyond the scope and offer things you can find in grocery stores. The prices are decent and they are open late. Parking will be a pain to find. The good thing to note is that there aren’t any sketchy people hanging out around outside while you fulfill your alcohol needs.

Great service, Steve the delivery guy came right to us and helped set up the keg. Will definitely use Mike’s in the future.

There are tons of corner liquor stores in this hood and Mike’s is on par with that representation. Though on a Sunday they’re open fairly late. It’s tightly packed so don’t try and flash mob here. Prices are a bit high but I guess that’s what you pay for in convenience and access.

I havne’t actually been here, but when I called to see if they stocked kirsch, the guy couldn’t have been less helpful. He’d never heard of it, which is fine, but he didn’t even bother to look or ask someone else. He just said«I don’t know,» and that was it.

Soon the taxation of alcopops will be raised to the same level as that of hard liquor and spirits. As of this writing beer is taxed at 20 cents on the gallon in California, whereas distilled spirits are taxed at $ 3.30 a gallon. Soon it will be much, much more costly to chug a gallon or more of Sparks. I hope this decision does not hurt Mike’s Liquors bottom line. If Mike’s carried Andre’s Cold Duck this would be my favorite liquor store in this whole damn world. Carry my favorite ginger ale, fruit drink and fizzy water and you very well own my soul. But if there are Munchos to be had, then just tell me where to bury the bodies. The man who is always here behind the counter is likely not named Mike. And I doubt that his pitch black Knight Of The Round haircut or matching moustache are either. But this is such a fine and venerable Mission Street liquor store that I would not only call the man, his hair and his moustache Mike, I would also call them«friend».

This is my current Ye Olde Corner Store. I knew I was a regular when the guy behind the counter made fun of me for coming in 3 different times in one day to buy beer. Tonight when I went in there the same guy was giving a customer advice about what he should do to cure an upset stomach. Awwww, Mike’s.
