Mission Ink Tattoo & Piercing

I was visiting town one month ago and talked to my friends that I want to get a tattoo. I called several shops and they didnt take my reservation because I dont have what to tattoo in mind. Finally, Mission Ink said they are flexible with walking in and I decided to go and check it out. The reception guy is quite good at talking and persuading people with swinging minds. The one I like the most is Pain doest last but change lasts. So impressive and inspiring to me. And the artist is a cute guy named Joey (if I had my memory right) and he is quite creative. He helped to design the tattoo to a simpler and more making-​sense one with a daisy surround by leaf in the middle of an elk. It doesn’t hurt at all and I enjoyed the tattooing time a lot with expectation. It turned out to be a very girly one and I like it very much. The instructions to take care of it is also very easy to follow. This is my first tattoo and thanks Mission Ink for making it a perfect one.

Just finished getting 3 minimalist finger tattoos with Dawn. I have the utmost respect for her because when my friend and I consulted about our tattoos, she was blatant about making sure we really wanted it. She told us that finger tattoos usually don’t stay and fade easily because of the type of skin. She also made sure we really wanted it because our hands were «clean.» We definitely felt comfortable with her and glad she took the time to help us and address our concerns (hers and ours). She has a great personality too, so kuddos to her! If I’m back in the area, I’d definitely get another, more elaborate tattoo with her.
Btw, this is my 6^th tattoo.

I ended up at this tattoo and piercing shop by the recommendation of a friend of mines. I got my nipples pierced and would totally go back for any other piercings. I am bay area local yet not a SanFran resident, i drove about an hour to get pierced by Sasha.
Comparing my experience here to what i am used to, it was rather different.
I started off by filling out all my paperwork and paying for my piercing. Sasha went through the procedure and the aftercare briefly before the piercing itself. Her personality seemed so mellow that i felt extremely comfortable and relaxed.
The actual piercing took about 5 min or so. There was a break in between each nipple but it was a very speedy process. Sasha shared some tips and tricks when it came down to piercings.
This place is a CASH ONLY shop, so be prepared. There is a Chase Bank right a block away in case you need to run real quick for cash.
The amount of care they give after the piercing is pretty awesome, I’ve gone to two other shops and they don’t offer that much care for their customers opinion/​well being.
Sasha actually cares about how the piercings are going/​came out.

Walked in not too far from closing, and Alex was happy to do the lengthy process of a double back surface bar for me. The shop itself is super trippy and worth a visit just to check out!
The bars themselves healed very well within a few days and were placed very well. They weren’t quite deep enough and rejected in about four months. The first experience was good enough that I would definitely consider going back to have it done again here.

I had an awesome experience here! James Hill tattooed me on my 18^th birthday. Everyone was super friendly and the place was very clean. James drew up EXACTLY what I wanted, and I’m so happy with it! He was super sweet and very light handed — it barely hurt at all even though it’s on my ribcage! Thanks for everything!

This shop is great! Found them on Unilocal,and I’m so glad I contacted them. Emailed them Monday morning, received a response almost immediately. They advised that I come in for a consultation on Friday before the appointment. They were super nice. Dawn met me today at 2pm to get my tattoo done. She’s amazing! She made sure that the placement on the inside of my arm was perfect for me before beginning. She’s very personable and talkative, and just genuinely nice! I love my tattoo and I’ll definitely be back when it’s time to get the third! :)

This was my first tattoo and I must say that it was painless and fast. It was also very affordable. Thanks Sasha for the great job!

I got piercings done here on Halloween in the late afternoon. Alex is a gem! He was very friendly and CLEAN! I would trust him with any piercing. His honest advice made my friend and I feel very taken care of and respected. Definitely go see Alex for any of your piercing needs. I’m in love with mine!
Just be prepared to pay cash. Unfortunately the shop doesn’t accept cards.

So I just got my first tattoo done by Bruno like a week ago, I asked for a comb and vintage scissors and he went above and beyond with the picture to make it look even better, it looks great it’s better than I expected it to be. I’ll most definitely come back to him for more! He’s awesome! His shading skills are crazy and his hand is super light, I barely felt anything AND the tattoo took up almost all of my forearm NO PAIN which was great! I can definitely and tell he loves his job, he made sure my tattoo looked clean and he explained how to take care of it after. I love his work, I recommend if you want a good artist go to bruno!!!

So I actually called this place by mistake thinking it was Mission Tattoo in Santa Cruz cause I was trying to Google their number to give them a call as to when my nipple piercings were going to arrive (I had already waited 2 ½ months by this time). When using the Google app and based on my location at the time, it had directed me to Mission Ink in SF since that’s where I was close to and I called them asking when my piercings were coming. To my surprise a girl named Sasha answered and she said an order by my name was never placed… and I was furious and complained as you could only imagine…
I realized later that day when I went into the shop myself in Santa Cruz that I had never called them and that my order was still being waited upon. I had called the wrong shop! And couldn’t find the number in my call log to call them back and apologize. I just got my nipples done a week ago in SC from Mission Tattoo and I’m happy with them buttttt I’m writing this review because I just got a call today from Sasha checking in on me and seeing if I still wanted to get mine done since their shipment finally came through. She was super understanding about the whole mixup and I’m so happy she called me back after a month ago that I had bitched her out!

If you want color and I mean COLOR, go see DAWN. If you want creative thinking not just someone’s sad-​ass interpretation of everything everyone else has done elevendy billion times before, go see DAWN. She’s affordable, fast and very professional. I sought her out to help with a personal disaster trailing down my arm. Only six hours in, she’s managed to reconstruct and give life to something that was a lingering embarrassment. Tons of compliments already and she’s just getting started!

Mission Ink is awesome! Super fun shop with great people who know their stuff. I walked in and had my nose pierced in 10 minutes! Very sanitary and professional but fun at the same time. The 1.5mm diamond stud with piercing was $ 47 and yet was legit, clean, and well done. I highly recommend Mission Ink.

I’m so disappointed. I read all the reviews before scheduling my tattoo here. I am in town for 2 weeks. I got a very simple, small, three letter phrase from Dawn on my rib cage. Not only are the letters shaky and not crisp, but there is serious webbing of ink around a lot of it. I am so sad, as this was my first tattoo, and I wanted it to be done well. I emailed them, and I’m getting a refund, which was nice.

If you need to find affordable body modification jewelry and piercing prices, then go here. No lines, clean shop, and super accommodating.
I highly recommend going to Sasha if you’d any kind of piercing care advice or piercing service. It was certainly positive experience to have her pierce my cartilage, change my jewelry, and provide relevant piercing care information.
She changed my septum ring jewelry and put in a new, rose-​gold plated septum ring. Although I have a tiny nose, she did it in a non-​stressful manner.
I came in with an infected (now healed) tragus piercing and wanted a daith piercing. She was honest and told me she wouldn’t do it. The space was too inflamed at the time. A good piercer will not put your health in danger and will be upfront. Thus, I understood in spite of my impatient nature. So I ended up getting other piercings, lol. I knew I wanted more piercings regardless so I chose to get three hoops on the upper cartilage segment of my right ear.
She pierced me three ear cartilage piercings that each came with a hoop. Each of the rings cost $ 30 (These rings were not the standard hoops that came with a ball. I decided to invest in these rings because I know I’m not going to change them past the healing period. Furthermore, investing in quality jewelry pieces are essential to keeping your piercing heal nicely.) The total was around $ 160. I did all of these piercings in one sitting and she was incredibly patient and attentive to me. She gave me water when I need it, she gave me breaks in between piercings, and most importantly-​she knew how to talk to me to put me at ease while I was being pierced.
I have had the negative experience of being pierced by a piercer (mind you, at a very reputable and expensive piercing shop in SF) who actually criticized blamed me for making my piercing experience painful! Yes, piercings hurt. However, to criticize your customer while piercing them makes it so much more painful and uncomfortable. In addition, misinforming your customer about the price about the jewelry you’re about to pierce them with is also questionable.
That’s why… Sasha is wonderful at calming and talking you through while you get pierced. :)
My piercings turned out beautiful! All of them are spaced nicely and the rings fall lovely on my ear.
Overall, the best piercing/​body mod experience I’ve had in San Francisco. I cannot stress enough how challenging it is to find a shop in San Francisco Bay Area that has reasonable prices, affordable, quality jewelry, and piercer who knows what she’s doing. Go to Mission Ink!

Really quick, mostly painless and really helpful. By far the best out of my 5 piercing experiences, my piercer? talked me through the procedure and gave me really easy to follow post-​care instructions. And didn’t even try and sell me that fancy soap shit that most places like to do.

I just got a tattoo done today by Bruno, and the experience was so good I had to come write a review. First off, the people working there were all very friendly. I was a bundle of nerves and adrenaline (and probably babbling a bit) and they made me feel very comfortable. Bruno was extremely professional. Every time he touched ANYTHING besides his equipment he changed his gloves. He made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I’m also super stoked on the tattoo itself. It was exactly what I wanted. I’ll definitely be back for my next one!

all my future piercings are going to be with Sasha if I can help it. I’ve got lots of piercings, and I’ve never had this kind of loyalty before.
Sasha was great at talking through options and jewelry, she put me super at ease, and the act of getting pierced itself was real easy and painless (well as painless as that gets). mission ink also has a wide jewelry selection, and after shopping around for some specific jewelry, I can also say they have just about the best prices around.
Sasha works Friday — Monday, and you can usually get in without much wait.

I did three tattoos at once with Dawn, she was amazingly professional tattooist I’ve ever met. She made me so much relaxed with great conversation while I was moaning on the bed. Lol

I got a small tattoo, as well as a piercing at Mission Ink last week, and i am more than happy with it. It was absolutely perfect! The entire staff is so nice and friendly, it was a very good environment for mutilating my body. The guy who did my tattoo, Bruno, was super nice and it was so fast, with barely any pain!
Would recommend to any/​everyone!

About a week ago, I decided to impulsively reward myself with some more piercings – nose and belly. I was greeted my Andrew and ended up waiting an hour because there were 2 people ahead of me. Andrew kindly kept me occupied with small talk and having me choose my jewelry. I love accents, so talking to Andrew was entertaining.
Fast forward to an hour later, Sasha took me to the back. She marked me with a pen and placed the points so I can change to different types of jewelry in the future. Piercing was quick and painless, my right eye did shed a tear from the pressure of the nose piercing, but Sasha was a sweet heart and wiped away my tear without ruining my makeup.
Both Sasha and Andrew were sweethearts. I’ll definitely return if I get any more piercings or purchase jewelry. Their selection is small but their knowledge and customer service was far better than other shops I’ve been to. Thanks!
