Specialties
We specialize in unusual items from around the world. Jewelry from old beads and natural stones, shell skirts from Oceania, beautiful Buddhist food bowls from Burma (Myanmar). African stools, meticulously woven Japanese baskets, Chinese wooden boxes and a deer skin backpack from the Philippines are just a few of the pieces in the gallery at present.
All items are one of a kind and most are hand made.
History
Established in 2011.
We developed our love of unusual things while processing art through Other Options. Other Options makes custom mounts for anything that needs a stand in order to be optimally displayed. Getting up close really helps to develop an appreciation for an object. We have had the good fortune to see many exquisite items and meet knowledgeable and interesting people. For instance: glass eye collections, a group of animal skulls with dental problems and finely executed tribal artifacts to mention just a few. That led to collecting, then starting a web business, One World Tribal Art, and now to a brick and mortar gallery.
