Specialties
Mr. Tipple’s Recording Studio offers live jazz every night. There’s never a cover, just swing by and enjoy a cocktail. Mr. Tipple loves jazz, in all forms. Expect lots of Miles and Coltrane, then everything from Django to Monk.
This is a place to come, enjoy a drink, and tap your toes.
History
Established in 2015.
My name is Mr. Tipple. Just a simple and laughable bloke hailing from London. I run a recording studio. But my friends joke that you’ll oft find me spinning cocktails, not reeling tape. After a few too many, I admit, I usually just sit back and enjoy the music, having forgotten to press record. Regardless, the band is always jiving, the whiskey is always cold, and we’re always having a smashing good time. Join the merriment.

Business Owner
Jay Bordeleau, the owner, creator, and mastermind behind Mr. Tipple’s Recording studio, has always loved the arts and is constantly driven by his it’s-so-crazy-it-just-might-work ambition. Bordeleau was able to combine this deeply rich cooperative leadership style with a profound passion for hospitality while designing, building, and operating his first restaurant: Maven. Working multiple harvests at Rhys Vineyards, Jay’s life-long passion for wine took root and was further affirm by earning his title as Certified Sommelier and Advanced Wine Specialist, WSET.
Jay continues to cultivate a team that truly believes in enthusiastic hospitality. His collaborative work style formalized while banging drums and crashing cymbals behind the orchestra during his tutelage as a music performance major at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
