Ordered a large pizza/wing/soda combo using a coupon off the Eat/24 app, and it was one of the worst $ 30 I spent on pizza ever. A buddy of mine works at the original North Beach Pizza that is actually in North Beach, and the pizza there is phenomenal. The pizza that I ordered on this occasion(Taraval), was less than mediocre, and to add salt to a wound, it was cold! I ordered a large,(me & my sister were starving btw) and all we ate were 3 slices! It was actually just gross. Will probably never order from the Taraval location again after this. Save your $. Wings sucked too, asked for extra ranch & buffalo sauce on wings, so they gave me no ranch &2 containers of buffalo sauce. Thanks.

this pizza place is our go to because it’s close and tasty but the salads are ALWAYS a disappointment(yellowest romaine lettuce ever, every time)

Impersonal service leads to scorched slice. Last effort here. Will serve you a slice from the heater without asking for oven time. Too bad.

XL — North Beach Special — $ 28 even after a $ 3 off coupon. Totally not worth that price. Their pizza isn’t that amazing to cost that much. I used to like this place. Unfortunately I won’t be going back due to cost vs. value. I’ll be patronizing Paxti’s or Brother’s pizza for that same price.

My family LOVES North Beach Pizza! It’s consistently tasty, affordable, and fast. When we travel, we always compare the pizza we may have out and about, to North Beach’s. Invariably great pizza! We are loyal customers.

Felt like I should write a review on behalf of my parents. They love this pizza. They’ve been ordering here for years. I want to say 15 or so years! Anyway, after a few months of not getting pizza, they decided they wanted to get a pie today. When we first called, they claimed we were not in the system. Maybe they removed us cause its been so long, which is sad. They also added a delivery charge which also sucks. I ordered our pizza and when it was delivered, the order was wrong. I gave them a call to let them know, and after a few passes of the call(i was expecting them to give me the cold shoulder), they decided to give us a whole second pizza! I know this is not the norm, and I’m not sure if the quality is the same as it used to be, but this is just a honest business trying to continue making a living. The pizza was decent, but the decision to give us a whole second pizza is 5 star worthy. Thank you North Beach on Taraval!

Gross. Crust is way too thick. Because of this, I have received pizzas that were half dough 2 out of the last 4 times. I have given up on this place. Not going back and I only like a block away. It is not worth the convenience because I know I will be wasting $ 20 if I go there.

I don’t get why this place doesn’t have 5 stars! I have lived few blocks away for 4 years now and I order pizza from here almost every weekend. They are tasty, always on time, reasonably priced and have really nice staff. My favorite are their thin crust pizzas which I always customize a little and they always get it right! I am supper happy with them!

You can smell the delicious aroma from down the block. Which is why we get pizza here almost every Friday night. They have delicious toppings and good prices(about $ 3 – 4) for a large slice. The Greek salad is good too. They don’t have much room to eat there, so plan on this place for take out.

Completely adequate middle of the road pizza. It’s big and greasy and kinda sloppy like something you’d get from a cafeteria. Still, if you just really need something pizza-like, the folks are friendly and the ingredient quality level is pretty high.

Alright so huge slices of pizza for $ 3 – 4 bucks a pop, not bad! My first experience of North Beach Pizza came on a drunken night. I shared a slice of the cheese pizza and it was great, in fact it was fantastic. Maybe it was the fact that pizza when drunk is one of the best things ever, in fact, it had a lot to do with it. My second experience came on a Monday night after work, wanting a not-too-heavy dinner before a workout. They have a good menu with different options, from create your own, to signature pizzas. The only thing is, if you want anything more than cheese or pepperoni as a slice, they just add the toppings on to the slices. It’s not authentically made, if that makes sense. The guy explained this to me beforehand, and I was fine with it since I didn’t want a whole pizza. I decided to go with a create your own and got mushroom and artichoke hearts. The slices are big. Though the taste wasn’t great, they have a lot of seasonings that you can add to enhance flavor — pepper flakes, parmesen, oregano(I think) and even tapatio! It was my first time having tapatio on a pizza, but damn that sh*t is good! The pizza slice alone wasn’t great. It probably has a lot to do with them just popping the mushroom and artichoke hearts on top of the pizza instead of making it together with the cheese and sauce. But I can see myself frequenting North Beach Pizza because of convenience and affordability. Next time though, I might stick to simpler ingredients, or maybe even cheese or pepperoni.

We love a good pizza… but we’re also really picky so we love a good customizable pizza that will let us spring for chicken wings, a salad, and and tasty garlic bread. Oh, and they should deliver because LAN parties can be kind of spontaneous at times. And so, that is why we love this place. Because I can get my veggie side, everyone else can have their meaty side and they’ve always been great about communicating along the way.

I ordered the barbecue ribs at 9:30pm and even though it was late the ribs still tasted fresh and as a bonus I got pasta, veggies, and a bread roll. I also ordered a hamburger sandwich which is unique and was delicious. I also love their pizza!

Ordered from here via grubhub. Almost threw up the food was so disgusting. We ordered two meatball subs which seems impossible to mess up. There were barely any meatballs on it, the ones that we’re were undercooked and cut in half. Oh and there was no sauce. Don’t order from this place unless you want disappointment.

Placing an order online was easy but I was a bit surprised when I called to check on the readiness status that they actually took an hour to process online requests. Anyway, no complaints about their artisanal Cable Car Special and Verdi’s Special. The Cable Car satisfied by my meat fix with the chicken and bacon, and the juicy tomatoes lightened overall heaviness. The Verdi’s had a nice Italian selection of toppings consisting of spinach, pesto and feta cheese. Only wished their pizza sizes were bigger.

One of our go-to pizza delivery spots. I live in the outer Richmond and there isn’t a lot of decent pizza spots that will deliver that far out. They’ve always been on time or earlier, which is great because we’re already starving when we order the pizza… Our delivery app choice is usually GrubHub, they have freebies sometimes, and they guarantee satisfaction. My boyfriend is super simple, so we usually just get the meal deal. It’s about $ 22 for a liter soda of your choice, ten wings, and a single topping pizza. You can add extra toppings for $ 1 – 3 each depending what it is. The pizza isn’t greasy and the wings are extra spicy, and we love it!

This is Specific to the Taraval location. Ordered delivery, the spaghetti has no sauce, the other pasta is mostly oil and under-cooked. The delivery driver came to the door, took the cash and told us that the sauce had leaked out of something as he was headed down the stairs. This is the WORST pizza place in town, please try something like Firehouse or even Extreme, all will be better.

Delicious slices, the spaghetti and meatballs is done well but not always consistent, sometimes the sauce is thick and other times it is really thin with a lot of tomatoes. That would be my only complaint. But it is very tasty. 4 stars.

For some reason, every time I order pizza from the location on Grant by my work, it’s delivered hot and delicious! So any time I want pizza, I remember this and decide to order from North Beach. But for some reason, this location doesn’t deliver the yummy pizza I remember eating at work. It’s not very hot and doesn’t have that ooey gooey cheesy goodness I’m craving. But in general, I do like the specialty pizzas they offer. The Coit Special and the Golden Gate Special are my favs! I’ll probably order from here again since I like ordering a tomato based pizza and a pesto based pizza and North Beach offers both, but hopefully I’ll get that pizza satisfaction I remember every time I order from my work location.
