Onyx Limos

I would highly recommend onyx limos to anyone who wants to have a great trip. The limo was large and had enough room for my entire group AND all of our things. The limo was clean, music was good, and the driver made us feel like we were well taken care of. The owner even met us after the trip and made sure we had a great time. Five star service at a reasonable price.

We just rented a limo this past Sunday for a trip to Napa. Alex was our driver and I believe he’s also the owner of this limo company. He’s a great guy and totally looked out for us. Very patient and knew Napa very well. He was able to suggest various places and very accommodating for things such as our party size and date. Will totally rent from this company again especially if Alex is our driver.

Is it possible to give NO Stars at all?
We used this service while we were in San Francisco for a tour of Napa Valley. We hired a limo so we could drink freely and not worry about our safety. Unfortunately someone forgot to tell Alex he should not get high in the front driver section while the guests are in the wineries. We returned to the Limo after one of our stops to a very pungent aroma wafting throughout the cab of the stretch limo. Alex tried to tell us this was left over from the night before. Had I not been drinking I may have fired him on the spot but my judgment was impaired. The drive home was very nerve racking as he drove somewhat erratically and did not stay in his lanes. It was a nightmare. I feel I must warn people about him.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

Alex is great! I called him after our party bus (through another company) canceled on us– the day of our reservation. With just 2 hours notice he had a limo for 10 people cleaned, stocked, and ready to take us around the town. He was so responsive and helpful both over the phone and during our excursion. He saved the day and we can’t thank him enough. I definitely recommend Alex and Onyx Limos for your group transportation needs!

We had the pleasure of riding in a spectacular limo in comfort. Our driver Alex was friendly and took care my family in a very professional way. He got us where we needed to go and was gracious and very reasonable. We will always use Onyx when we have the need in the SF or the Bay area.

Our limo was clean, well stocked and on time. We had the owner of the company driving us, Alexander, and he was awesome. He went above and beyond his duties. He knows great places to eat, awesome spots for a great, non-​crowded view of San Francisco. Also he is extremely knowledgable of San Francisco and it’s history.
We also used Onyx limo services when going to the wine country. Again we had Alexander and again he impressed us.
Next time we go to San Francisco we will give Onyx a call and request Alexander.

Onyx Limos takes customer service to the next level! Alex reminded me that there are people out there that do take their job seriously and clearly showed how much he cared and how dedicated he is to his customers.
I took my girlfriend and a couple of close friends out for a night on the town to celebrate her birthday. We planned on going out for dinner and then grabbing a drink or two afterward. Alex came on time (actually a few minutes early) and from start to finish, went above and beyond to make our experience with him phenomenal and superb. He even went out of his way to call up the spot we had dinner reservations at to make sure we got a nice table (and we did)!
Alex has a great understanding of San Francisco and knows his way around town, especially with people. I never felt like I was being up-​sold or taken advantage of. I find it very rare these days to feel like I get my moneys worth when I go out or pay for some sort of customer service, but Alex and Onyx Limos was a pleasant reminder that there are still people out there who care! Thanks for making the night so special and one to remember!

I highly recommend this limousine company to anyone out there wanting good connections to the city along with great service! From the beginning, Alex has been super polite when I first called looking for good limo rates because my best friend and I were both turning 21 and he guaranteed me great service and safety. He dedicated his time talking to me over the phone for over 20 mins telling me what he’d provide etc. I was super pumped after talking to him because he told me he knew the city really well and promised me he’d take us to great places. He went above and beyond with everything! I asked him to buy some balloons to surprise my friend and told him that her favorite color was pink and as soon as we get in the limo, there are pink napkins, a nice bottle of rose champagne, different shade of pink balloons and a tv with Beyoncé music. He took us to several clubs getting us in for free in very and each one of them such as: Redwood room at Clift Bourbon and Branch Beer Cellar, Vessel Nightclub, and Audio Nightclub. He was gonna take us to slide but at that point I was a bit too drunk lol. He was also super reliable, whenever we were done we didn’t even have to call him because he was outside waiting for us. He told us as well if anyone gave us trouble to text him because he’d help us out. He was not only our driver but a great friend! Towards the end he took us out for pizza and at Lombard St. for a selfie. We saved so much money thanks to Alex, along with getting a great rate for six hours. Limos are definitely expensive, but with our great experience I would say we got more than a great deal. I recommend Alex to anyone who is trying to find a relaxed, fun, trustworthy driver who will go far and beyond to make his clients happy. He was honestly amazing! Thanks Alex! We can definitely say that we’ve found our guy when needing good transportation.

Alex is a good business man. Loved the whole service we got. He gave us the low down on his whole service from the car to how to work it. Everything was clean and working properly. Everything clean and modern not the crappy, dirty, broken down feeling you get with alot of limo services. He got us into a few places quick and easy and had great suggestions (we were out drinking for a friend’s graduation). If I ever get a transportation service in the city again it will be him! Also in a side note I would like to say Alex the owner –he is a business man. He doesn’t have a menu to order a service from and he is THE OWNER, not just someone who works for a company. Some of the the reviews on here suggest he is a hustler and a bully. Working with a business man selling a product you have to understand that negotiation is key. Some people might feel intimidated when talking to business man but if your ever planning to buy a car or a house, a bidding war, buying drugs, or even buying shoes from a mall it will be the same. He is not intimidating you he is negotiating with you. I worked out a price with him (which took awhile) but eventually we came to a price that I thought was decent for me and profitable for him. If he wasn’t the business man he is. He might be living out if his limo! Also I’ve been to a few restaurants /​clubs/​limos and weddings that had dirty glasses… ours were clean for my event but hey on the long run it is gross but hey shit happens. If they got some finger print smudge on them-​oh well! Unless they have drinks still in them and lipstick and blood on them. It’s excusable once right? I do agree he talks alot of «fluff» but hey that’s part of the business! I think Alex is a character! A business man’s job is to make you feel like he’s your friendand some people feel betrayed when they don’t get that vibe. He’s a cool guy but remember — this is his business, this is how he pays his bills and mortgage, his car note (s). THE MAN IS STRICTLY BUSINESS. I respect that.

Lauren was great in arranging the trip and John was our driver for the great city tour and Napa trip! (It’s taken me so long to write this review because I thought it had posted, but realized it’s in my drafts for over a year.)
Anyway, the driver was so courteous and even helped us take our group pictures! It was my cousin’s first time riding in a limo, and he helped make it a great experience.

I have taken hired carriages and limousines from some of the most splendid locales in this green earth. Milan, St. Tropez, Milwaukee, Montauk, Ciudad de Mexico, Transylvania, and even Greenwich.
He offered to drive us anywhere, fortunately we only needed to go to Lombard, and he obliged. The atmosphere in his limo was impeccable and he was professional throughout.
I recommend him to anyone and will certainly be calling for his services again!!!

I used Onyx for a high profile pickup that required white glove service and they definitely delivered. Onyx was flexible and professional from beginning to end.
In my opinion, the one-​star reviews I read below speak more to a personality clash between the reviewer and the owner/​operator at Onyx (his name is Alex). The guy gets the job done. Plain and simple. Yes, he talks to much. Yes, he hypes his business. My recommendation is to figure out a fair price you are comfortable paying and communicate that with Alex upfront. Text him if you want so it’s recorded. «I want to go from point A to point B for this much».
Alex’s nature is to go above and beyond. The cars are spectacular, he’s never late, drinks are ready, food, etc. He’ll expect a tip but he’ll definitely earn it. If you don’t want that type of service then flag down a beater limo on Market St.

We used Onyx for a trip to Napa and everything was great. Alex, the owner, personally made sure that we were totally satisfied with the car and the service. He actually ended up being our driver.
We negotiated a fair price and he delivered everything he promised. The 10-​seater stretch limo was pristine, with a solid sound system (that we blasted all the way to Napa). He had a few bottles of champagne for us to choose from, chilled by the time he picked us up, along with some snacks. Most importantly, he showed up right on time and got us to Napa quickly and safely.
I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and recommend them to friends.

Alex still has a argumentative and condescending tone of voice the other Unilocalers allude to in their reviews below. He quoted me a price and I called him later to sign up and was trying to get me to quote him «back» the price by telling me to email back when he never sent me an email in the first place but just called. And then he got angry about it and was full of attitude. He quoted me $ 675 for 8 hours to and from Napa with no fuel surcharge or toll fee plus a 20% «required» gratuity. Then he says he quotes $ 675 to $ 750. He said he can appreciate me trying to get a deal in this economy but got pissed he had to quote his price first. I had to remind him that I’m the customer. He’s the typical car salesman type and talks a lot of fluff with a lot of attitude for no reason. He has issues and we will not be going with his services. The previous Unilocal review where the Unilocaler thinks Alex «will hunt him down» is on point. Just like how he told another Unilocaler that he was too busy and on another job — that’s his M.O. for poor customer service since he told me the same thing. Looks like that’s the way he works his business by hustling and bullying people and just talking about customer service instead of providing it. There’s a difference between knowledge and belief and it clearly shows in this case. 79 filtered reviews, the 5-​star ones by people who do not Unilocal AT ALL. Sounds fishy to me.
Supposedly his sister is an attorney. So what. Really? I was just trying to tell him not to play games and that I know how to negotiate and that’s the BS that he comes back with. He is not customer service oriented and I’d be wary of the differences between his one-​star and five-​star Unilocal reviews. I can see how he bullies people into writing a good review. He seems like a very up and down type of person full of entitlement. I am so thankful that I know this early on before he almost ruined my best friend’s birthday trip to Napa.

I used Onyx for a basic «car service» to get from SF down to south San Jose. I was picked up in a black S500 that was very clean. I understand that Alex has a variety of other cars, so don’t be afraid to ask «what else».
What a great guy… Alex is exceedingly polite and optimistic. You can count on him to be there early, and get you there on time.
Don’t bad mouth the Raiders (should you be so inclined) because Alex is a true fan (boasting several players as clients).

I had friends fly into town for a Napa trip we deiced a limo was the way to go. I was refereed to Onyx by a friend who takes frequent trips to Napa. What a great referral– the driver was very knowledgeable and gave us great winery suggestions to add to our list. When we got into the car there was water and champagne on ice, which was needed after a day of wine tasting.
I have to say it was a great day and I would totally use Onyx again.

I can tell right off the bat when I speak to someone on the phone if they will provide good customer service and attention to detail and when I called Onyx, that was not the case. He was rude and a bit obnoxious when I inquired about their services. This automatically sends me red flags, that if you’re going to have that tone on the phone, who’s gonna say when we actually use your limo you’re not gonna be the same, especially if it’s for my sister’s special wedding day. I would not want to even take that chance and have their attitude spoil the mood of the day.
