I’ve been going to P&K for years. Good mechanics are hard to find and great shops are even harder. They fill both needs and have excellent prices. I highly recommend, but not too much, otherwise it’ll be harder to get my cars and trucks in for repair because yall will going there too. A+A+A+A+A+

Many years later, the Pilot is going strong, I’ve had both the Pilot and my other car serviced there regularly, and I’ve recommended P&K to my kids and many other people. Nice, honest car mechanic — a real find.

If you are looking for a solid and honest auto body shop, then you should take your car to P&K Automotive. They are family owned and just all around great people. HONEST HONEST HONEST and very reasonable prices. I cannot say enough. Trust this father and son duo. They have been taking care of my car for over 10-​years. They work on both domestic-​US and foreign made cars. Even if they are not in your neighborhood, they are worth the drive.

Went in for diagnosis, they said exhaust gasket needs replaced estimate $ 170, I agreed and left car. Next day called and said extra $ 100 charge cause bolts were broken, I reluctantly agreed. Called a day later said $ 400 total repairs !! I argued about the unexpected cost they and settled at $ 330. Customers beware!

Ask for Koch (Pronounced Coke). He may be young, but he’s knowledgeable.
I work close by and have taken all my cars to him and have even recommended all my coworkers to him (and they have ALL come back to say they love and trust this shop).
He gets the job done quickly, very inexpensively and won’t «invent» issues like some other mechanic shops will do.

H & R Towing came on time yesterday and took my car to P & K Automotive for repair. They have done a good job. I recommend them highly.

This is my first review based on the phone conversation with the owner and the time I arrived to the shop. He was very helpful and informative on the phone. Glad he had patient to answer all of my million questions. I towed my car there and he pulled it in the shop immediately. He went to work right away. I’m always scared of facial expressions from mechanics once they inspect my car lol this man didn’t walk back to me and suggest to work on other things. Currently, I am waiting on him to be done. I brought books to read. A family owned business that cares for all customers. Hopefully, this shop and its owner will become my next fav people in the world

My family has been going to this shop for years. My dad loves Peng, and trusts him with his car and our family’s other cars. Him and his wife have always been very honest with us, and have provided us with extremely reasonable service prices. Very recently, my 2012 Prius C suddenly stopped running, at an offsite airport parking lot. The mechanic on site could not figure out what was wrong with my car. He tried jumpstarting my battery and a whole bunch of other things, and he event went as far as reading much of the car’s owner manual, but nothing worked. So I got a tow truck to come by, and the tow truck driver also tried jumpstarting it and a few other things. Again nothing worked. Finally, when my car was towed all the way to P & K from South San Francisco. After a few minutes of investigating, Peng realized that nothing was wrong with my car, and that the real problem was that my key’s battery had died. Since I drive a hybrid, that has a push button start, rather than inserting a key to start the car, my car only works when my key is in close proximity with a working battery. So my dad picked me up and drove me to Radio Shack, then back to P & K. Peng put the new battery in my key, and the car was back to normal. So fast and quick! Peng was the only one who figured it out. The mechanic at the parking lot and the tow trucker driver made me feel bad, like I did something wrong to my car, but not Peng. It was so silly! Now I am just like my dad, I cannot trust anybody else with my car, except Peng!

I just picked up my car from P&K Automotive. I have to tell you. I have a 2005 Lincoln LS V8. My belt snapped off and I came close to having it towed to a Ford dealership.
Then I thought about it after my co-​worker Dre told me how good these people are and I took a chance. There was a part (wheel), that turns with the belt, was the problem and made the belt snapped.
Shiiiiiid, this part (from Ford of course cause they are the only ones who have it) that need to be replaced came up to a grand! That is IF I wanted to go that way. However, I asked for a part that may be used somewhere. It was found and was in good shape!
Now.a brand new belt and this used part was only 500 DONE! I believe I saved at least 2000 or 2500 if I were to go to a Ford dealer to have it repaired there.
Anyway.I NOW have a NEW mechanic. my man Kok. He is very cool and will work with you! NO pressure and NO BS!
I would go back to him for service if I have to!
If I had 10 hands, I’d give him 10 thumbs up!
Keep in mind, when I was at the shop, I saw all kinds of makes. from Mercedes to American cars to Asian cars. And if you have to drop the car off, the T line stop is right out front and there is a coffee and doughnut shop on the corner.

The factory roof rack of my Subaru Outback was damaged during a car accident, and I brought my car to these guys to help assess the cost of damage. They were extremely helpful and showed me how to fix the damage myself, saving me over $ 700.
I am glad I went to these guys, and they get 5 stars for honesty and helpfulness.

Took my car here after reading the reviews. My check engine light came back on after resetting it twice, the day my smog was due. The diagnostic test said there was a small leak. They took a look the first day but couldn’t find the leak. They needed more time. They kept it for another day but somehow the leak in a valve resealed itself! NO CHARGE! They even remembered I took it there because I needed a smog. Told me to bring it back in two days because my car wasn’t quite ready for a smog. I brought it back, they did another diagnostic and said my car was good to go! Again, NO CHARGE! These guys are awesome! I will definitely be bringing my car back here if I ever have a problem again!

P and K are very honest and they do great work. I’ve taken my car in a bunch of times over the last 10 years and they have ALWAYS been a fantastic garage. A very rare find indeed. Thanks to Kok and his great parents for running a top notch repair shop!

Took my car here after getting jerked around at another place. The shop was accommodating in terms of timing, upfront about costs and honest with their assessments. They also did some of the work free of charge.

Been going to P and K for a couple of years to service my Volkswagen and Toyota and have always felt I had honest work done. It’s a family run business and I usually deal w/​Kok (pronounced «Cook»). He always explains the problem before and after the work is completed and the problem has always been fixed. Due to my work schedule and emergecies I’ve been able to do night drop-​offs and leave the key in a drop box, which is convenient, plus they are open on Saturdays.

Family ran business. They are very straight forward and both father and son knows a whole lot about car dealing with American to import cars.

After seeing white and smelling sweet smoke from my AWESOME 1995 Honda Civic, I knew it was on its last leg…
For 16 years my Civic was going strong and giving me 35+ miles per gallon and the fond memories (in the backseat ;P). It was finally time to say goodbye…
BUT, lo and behold, after looking for a good, honest mechanic here on Unilocal,I stumbled upon P & K Automotive. There were only a few reviews, but almost all of them were 5 Stars, so I took my Honda to them to explore my options.
Option 1: Change the Head Gasket Seals
Option 2: Replace the Engine
Option 3: Say goodbye to my little friend ;(
Hmmmm, my car’s body is still in great shape (needs new paint) & the transmission is still great, replacing the engine was very tempting… so, I did!
Have to say, Peng & Kok are great, honest people. After waiting a week, I got my car & drove up into the Geneva Street Sunset! Drives like a dream!
Would definitely recommend P & K to my family and friends! =) Finding a good mechanic is definitely hard to find. Thanks P & K!
