Manager

Devan is the proud representation of the next generation of the gold standard in the pest control industry. Beginning as a telephone operator and office manager for Diverse Inspection Services at the age of 14, he has spent the last several years as the backbone of one of the best inspection companies in San Francisco. He earned his Field Rep license at the age of 19 and that same year created P.E.S.T. People will regard him as very knowledgeable, comfortable to talk to, and down right honest and to the point. Currently a student at UC Berkeley, his plans for the future eventually becoming CEO of P.E.S.T. and Diverse Inspection Services are only one step away, continuing to provide expert termite and beetle control service to the Bay Area.

Highly recommended.
Discovery of active termites is never a good thing for a home owner — and can not be ignored. I had three companies come out for inspections and provide quotes. Of the three, Devan of DIS was more thorough in his inspection and description of what needed to get done. My service also included preventative treatment for wood beetles as well as advice on home repair to prevent future pest infections.
They are prompt, competitively priced, easy to schedule work, and efficient in performing services. I have peace of mind on money well spent for their services. I’ve let my neighbors know who to call.

Today Devan came over and was prompt and extremely honest. I showed him a bag of little bugs I had collected that I thought were termites. I had disrupted a nest of bugs while weeding at the front steps of my home. He easily could have told me they were termites and planned a proposal to exterminate, but instead let me know that I only had earwigs, that are pretty harmless to the home. On the other hand he found powder post bettles and showed me how to recognize them, and will email a proposal to take care of them. Furthermore, he gave me a lesson the the 3 types of termites common to my neighborhood, and showed me how to recognize them. I’m extremely grateful for his honestly and willingness to impart the knowledge I lacked.

Discovering termites can be traumatic – when we did, we had several firms come by our home. Devan Donaldson and his team were not only the most thorough and careful in their initial inspection (other firms missed the source of the infestation) but the nicest – professional, no pressure, and able to explain the pattern and course of the infestation lucidly. And when they came to treat our house, they were great: a well-​coordinated team, efficient, and effective.

Great company. The owner is very professional and honest. He will not sell you on anything that you do not need. They came over w/​in a few hours of me calling them and did a consult for free and even solved my pest complaint free of charge. They explained to me what went wrong w/​my last pest inspection (completed by another company), where several things were missed. I really wouldn’t trust anyone else.

Simply outstanding service from a great company.
Devan was wonderful to work with. After his inspection, he gave us a very thorough analysis of the results, and discussed options. He was very knowledgeable about termites and the products used to treat them, and we decided on a course of action. Devan completed the work professionally and competently, spending extra time to make sure the job was done right.
We were of course nervous and worried when we discovered termites in our home, but Devan made the process of dealing with them truly painless. I would give my highest recommendation to P.E.S.T. for a job extremely well done.
