Refreshing, tropical coconut is coming to Peet’s summer beverage menu. Kicking off the Summer is a twist on a Peet’s favorite, the Coconut Black Tie. Cold brewed Baridi Blend is swirled with coconut-​infused syrup, poured over sweetened condensed milk and topped with a float of half and half. The Coconut Solstice Iced Tea is a refreshing concoction of Mighty Leaf’s Summer Solstice iced black tea blended together with coconut-​infused syrup and cold milk. The Coconut Crème Latte begins with hand-​pulled shots of Espresso Forte, stirred with creamy coconut cream and coconut-​infused syrup, and poured together with cold milk over ice and fresh foam. For a different take, the Coconut Crème Latte will also be available hot. Coconut cream will also be available as a smooth and creamy whipped topping for the new Coconut Crème Javiva. The Coconut Crème Javiva combines freshly brewed double-​strength Baridi Blend coffee, sweet coconut, milk, and ice: blended until smooth, and topped with our subtly sweet whipped coconut cream. Whipped coconut cream can be substituted on other beverages for a dairy-​free alternative to whipped cream.

Peet’s Difference:

* Freshness is a priority for us, because it matters. We roast daily and brew our coffee fresh every 30 minutes.

* We only brew or sell beans within three weeks of their roast date.

* We grind our coffee beans just before brewing for every espresso drink.

* All espresso shots are hand-​pulled and poured within 10 seconds.

* Milk is carefully steamed to about 155º F and is discarded if it has dropped below 150º F. We never re-​steam milk.

* At Peet’s we roast by hand, ear, eye, nose and mouth. Under the practiced eyes of artisan roasters, we watch, smell, adjust, listen, taste and re-​taste every roast.

* Our beans are chosen with great care. Taking a hands-​on approach, our buyers travel the globe building strong, sustainable relationships with farmers to source the finest beans from the world’s remotest growing regions.
